  8. I know these are already in the DCS core, and I think you also know that the models of these units are outdated and need to be updated. Currenthill's asset mod already has high-definition models of Bradley and Marder, wouldn't it be good to add them to the DCS core?

  11. So just updated to the latest hotfix patch (DCS 2.9.16.10973), and while it did play a little different this time, it was similar result, but fortunately i was able to capture the error. So the error comes up, when the SA8 comes online (after talds), or possibly when i fire on it, and as mentioned the error stayed in place this time so i screen capped it, but after i clicked ok, it asked me to report to devil (as i splashed it), but after trying approx. 10 times, the command wouldnt tell devil, it just closes the comm menu, then obviously mission couldnt progress. So last time the mission kept going, and told me to take out the oil rigs, but i was able to report destroying the SA8 that time. Anyways heres the error

The missile also allows for long breaks (up to 20-30% of the remaining guidance time) in the illumination of the radar while maintaining the timing diagram of the illumination channel. The missile can maintain synchronization for a limited time after the radar loses track of the target. As long as the radar resumes illuminating the same target within the missile's interruption time threshold, the seeker can re-lock the target.
  13. Wish what you are saying is true, but it is not the case. There are folks on the same server in 2d and VR (headset dependent) who are complaining in the forums about how the spotting dots are too big and not good for game play or immersion. There are also others using the Pimax Crystal on these two servers who are experiencing the same lack of spotting dots as I am. BTW: I posted this question on both DCS and Reddit forums, a few of the responses advocated reducing the headset resolution, the pixel density in DCS, and removing all anti aliasing. Running with DCS pixel density reduced to .8, the Pimax headset resolution set to 80 percent, spotting dots set to 2, and no anti aliasing (DLSS, MSAA, etc) I can now see spotting dots almost as well as my wingman. The downside to these settings is that the outside of the cockpit visuals look really bad, but they are good enough to at least for me to maneuver and enter the fight with better situational awareness. It also important to note that when flying in this configuration with Spotting Dots disabled I do lose the dots.

  16. You can also disable ASW permanently inside regedit. Open regedit, go to "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Oculus", add a new DWORD called "AswDisabled", set it to "1", and then restart OVRServer. Should make it so you don't need to keep disabling it each time.
  17. Thank you all for the input. the GBU24s worked perfectly, ended up using the laser. Since we were so low the wind didnt affect it much. However, now I plan to do some more research on the different fuzes and uses. Not sure why ED decided not to document this, but I know the info is out there somewhere. Thanks!
  18. I only play campaigns, so no mods etc installed. I dont usually have easy comms on, although i know for a while it kept re-enabling itself, but i think that was the launcher, which ive disabled also! Tacview may be on there, i never really use it though, will check that its disabled. Some nice little tips in there though, i will try the mission again, if i still have issues will try this list and report back, thanks Jakes
  19. They’ve not worked consistently for me for a while now. I’ve been using Oculus Debug Tool to turn off ASW before entering the sim.
  20. Installed latest patch, but still has not resolved the error every time that wants to disable every flight module I have because the Authentication Failed box pops up.
  21. I have this problem, and it updated with a new patch, but the problem persists.

  24. This mod is just for fun and has no intensions to be authentic! The weapons were taken with permission from the JF39 & F22 mod. Weapons added: - SDB-39 - GPS guided bomb (replaces LS-6-500) - Brimmstone - Laser guided AG missile (replaces BRM-1) - Spear-3 - GPS guided long range AG missile (replaces LS-6-250) - AIM9X-3 - IR AA missile (replaces PL5II) - Aim-120E - Radar guided AA missile (replaces SD-10AA) All weapons are fully functional, but named after the replaced weapons in the cockpit mfds & hud. - Also included is a small fix for the LS-6-100, that should prevent blowing up your plane when launching them. - Also i've upped the Engine specs of JF17 to Block 3 performance. Thanks to Nightstorm & Spino for the superb F22 mods and the permission to use their assets.
