Pimax Crystal Super - Mura and Tiger Stripes
Maddaawg replied to TimSell75's topic in Virtual Reality
It's really hard to know if they are ignoring the defects or getting hand picked defect free units. I have seen some YT reviews talk about mura, but they also said it wasn't that bad. MRTV said it was very bad on the demo unit and then walked it back when he received his production unit. I don't really trust anybody doing a review that received the unit for free. I'll trust users like @TimSell75 when he says it has mura. i have at least a couple months before mine is shipped to get an idea from real end users what it's like. Then I have 14 days to trial it myself. -
MCAS Miramar......

You would need NAS Fallon for Top Gun, and Strike U. MCAS Miramar is now mostly USMC. NAS North Island has the other USN aircraft. All the F/A-18s are at Lemoore, along with the F-35s.

Yes big cost to switch from intel to AMD. The 13900K is a very good CPU but the 9800X3D is a beast and somehow, better suited for DCS using QVFR. Here are my setting: QVFR settings.cfg file: ---------- #These setttings are for all headsets and applications smoothen_focus_view_edges=0.3 sharpen_focus_view=0.2 [app:DCS] # The settings are specific to the app "DCS World". turbo_mode=0 peripheral_multiplier=0.3 focus_multiplier=1.6 horizontal_fixed_section=0.45 vertical_fixed_section=0.35 ---------- If you are using a Crystal light, you do not need to supersample the fixed section as the PPD is much higher than the 8KX. I had a Crystal light for about two weeks and returned it as I could not stand the tunnel vision compared to my 8KX, it was killing immersion for me. Of note also, I use preset K for DLSS. And my DCS settings:

Maybe the YouTube influencers are being incentivized to help Pimax sell more units. Certain "influencers" talk like salespeople. Why would they care to report that the free units they receive have defects? Remember that these are not "off the shelf" products. We are now being sold products that will be manufactured many months in the future. There is no way to get a review in the present that will reliably reflect performance of units that will only be produced many months later. -
Yes it takes out the shimmering in the cockpit.

You probably meant a former A-10 pilot named Andy Bush. Yes, I have been reading his articles for a long time, there were also drafts of angles for attacking the GAU-8 cannon on T-55/T-54 tanks, it would be good if someone could provide information about this man who served in Germany for years and was one of the main people who devised the tactics of the A-10 attack on the Soviet armor invasion of Europe. He was also involved during the original LOMAC in 2003 and was one of the key people for the A-10's features and mission in Lock On. -
I should probably try this later when it works, does it affect the aliasing in VR? I just wish I could get rid of that excessive aliasing in the black panels.

Dear E.D or other Developers. I as well as many in the community think it would be nice to see a Southern California map. DISCLAMER: This is a proposal for a new map, not an announcement of one in development!! Approximately a 400 x 200 mile map (Could expand to include NAS China Lake and NAS Lemoore) Key features: NAS Miramar- Home of Top-Gun and the Navy's Pacific fleet fighters and E-2's NAS North Island- Home of S-3's, Helos and other aircraft. Edwards AFB- Home of USAF Test and Evaluation George AFB- Home of F-4E and the 'Wild Weasel' Mission Yuma Tact's Range- Range used for A2A and A2G training by Navy and Marine aircraft. MCAS/NAS El Centro- Base that USN/USMC Pilots trained at Pt. Mugu- Home of the USN Test and Evaluation Pacific Ocean expanding 200+ miles outside of San-Deigo for ship and carrier operations many other features.. Cool things you could do with this map: Make a Top Gun campaign based out of Miramar Make a Wild Weasel F-4E campaign out of George Practice F-14/F-4(B/S/N), F-8 carrier ops out in the Pacific Ocean (F-4 and F-8 are on the way) Make a campaign based out of Pt. Mugu where you go from flying USN F-4's with VF-103, to flying F-4's and being one of the first VX-4 pilots to fly the F-14 Tomcat. Then Transition to being CVW-14 LSO abord Enterprise for the first deployment with VF-1 and 2. (Rodger Ball- John Monroe "Hawk" Smith) Endless opportunity's!! null Would love to see this in the future!! Some inspirational Photos of the MSFS Miramar addon:

Hi guys, 12 years later, where are we ? Looks like latest tech enhancements, MT, new weather system, ground untits improvements, carrier etc... Created a cool foundation for such a map, isn't it ?

Is there any evidence that AzurPoly (which seems to be their actual name) actually want to do business with ED? Developing for DCS is a very different proposition than for MSFS, and they may be perfectly happy doing what they already know best.

100% Agree! When Ugras CWG Map meets Heatblurs F-4E then we need to have “Phantoms over Ostfriesland” in DCS. Means the JG 71 “R” located in ETNT Wittmundhafen! Traditionsgeschwader “Richthofen”. @Ugra: If you like to add something special: The grave of the most famous fighter pilot of the First World War had to be moved for the construction of the “death strip” on the inner-German border in Berlin. His family donated the huge gravestone to the 71. Jagdgeschwader in Wittmund, where the (internally named) “Hinkelstein” stood from 1975 until it was returned to Berlin in 2013.

Are you going to RMA it? Maybe YouTube influencers are getting hand picked units. I ordered mine last night. If it has these issues, the 14 day trial will end day 1. -
A Video demonstrating the Helicopter operations will come out soon(tm). Theirs reference material in the OperatingManual.PDF If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out on discord

new rotor model being created Yaw very unstable on the Apache
Nealius replied to DaveTC's topic in DCS: AH-64D
Similar to the Chinook, which got its coordinated turns implemented within a couple months of release. I hope with the new tail rotor modeling that’s indicated on the thread tag reassesses LTE tendencies. The Apache is the only helo module I’ve regularly experienced it in. -
