  2. Just set the fuel at 50% while you have unlimited enabled? I don't really see what that will accomplish. Sorry! You're talking about something other than DCS to be honest. There's a reason people come here after WT it seems. Though I haven't really tried WT extensively enough to really comment about it. You have been here long enough to have noticed that many do not consider this a game.
  3. No, there are semi dynamic campaigns for DCS, not at the level of that other one. But still. I believe that's what he meant. Cheers!
  4. I'll give another example. Right now fuel is either "Unlimited" or "Limited". Great. Now you can set your jet to 0% fuel and run around with unlimited afterburner on minimum weight. How about some steps in between? "Training" - Realistic fuel consumption rate, but if your tanks run empty, your engines don't quit. You get a warning to inform you you're out of fuel and an event "Ran out of fuel" gets logged for the after action report. "AB Penalty" - As above but now when you run out of fuel, also no more afterburner for you. A penalty that punishes you for bad planning but won't instantly end your mission. Options that give the player (it's a game, remember?) a way to work up to the expected level in steps and with some forgiveness.
  5. I tried the reshaders from the github page and it generated a bunch of errors in Reshade which caused it to not work. I then then uninstalled Reshade and your add on and installed Open XR toolkit since it has a sunglasses feature. That crashed DCS so I uninstalled it and reinstalled Reshade and your add on. I found the the HDR for VREM gave me the correct effect, but for some reeson, it is limited to a square box in the center of the field of view (see the photo.) Any ideas why it's limited to the square box? I played around with the settings in mirror view and confirmed that the effect is set to full screen in all views.
  6. @PhantomHans Hmm... Interesting for sure. All those things you mention from the module makers are the main reasons I personally like DCS. Your last paragraph is more DCS core features and hopefully we'll get better AI down the line. Autostart exists already, you want an even more elaborate autostart? I wouldn't know because I've never tried either autostart/stop. Ever! To my knowledge, most campaign makers remove all the possible "cheats" anyway, so nothing would really help you. Also, I believe most module makers will focus on adding missing features and squashing bugs, instead of introducing new ones and make their own life miserable. But that's just me. Many of these modules are made with passion to replicate real aircraft they love with real procedures. I think they would see themselves as hypocrites if done any other way. I don't believe the money is the main drive for them. If Falcon 5.0 ever sees the dawn, don't be surprised if it aims to be a competitor to DCS. There's a reason BMS exists. Cheers!
  7. Since I had the super its pretty much just crashed straight away anytime I try to use it. I found that if I leave DFR off and just dial back the resolution it would sometimes be stable enough to get me though a few missions but its just a heavy G2 at that point I would usually get 60 to 70 fps. The last two times I tried to fly like this it crashed after 10 min and then a 2nd time after 25 min. The next day I turned on DFR globally I figured if it was going to crash it might as well look good. I got 70ish fps out of it using the "quality" preset and at least the center of the image was clear... It crashed 10 min later. Today I saw a patch had been released that mentioned something about vr fix or whatever... I figured I would try it for fun to see what It would do. It didn't seem relevant but whatever. I made no changes and was flying online like the last few times on a pretty busy server and was expecting not much to go my way. The first thing I noticed what fps was locked at 90 sitting on the carrier deck on TTI with 4 other jets starting up. Everything was smooth and all the constant spikes I would see on the frame time graph were gone. It was a smooth flat line with maybe a tiny spike once and a while like no more than 1 every 5 to 10 sec. I have not observed this before that I can recall. Took off and flew around for 30 min then landed pretty much locked to 90fps the entire time I might have seen an 80 for a second or two. This is the first time its ever worked this well or worked as expected based on feedback from other users. I have no Idea if its dumb luck and will never happen again or if the patch had something to do with it. I did open a support ticket before this flight haven't heard back from them yet. Im pretty excited that I finally got to experience what I was hoping was possible. Yeah it's as awesome as they say it is. Maybe just maybe it will work again... who knows.
  8. Lots of the difficulty level thing is going to have to come down to the individual module makers. And, as always, these should be either set server side on/off, or single player only. Taking the F-4E as an example, a "casual cockpit" mode might automate many of the ordnance processes. Remove warm up times for weapons like AGM-65, GBU-8, etc. When selecting weapons, a single key to cycle between A-A and a single key to cycle A-G. Selecting a weapon selects a default delivery mode and the appropriate stations. You might have a single "Jettison Tanks" keybind to kick off all the tanks, and have the fuel transfer switch for externals (Off/Centerline/Wings) be managed automatically. I wouldn't have the change be instant, I'd have there be a delay while all the switches got set accordingly in the cockpit. So the actions still happen, just automated if that option is enabled. Some other things could be done like the automatic startup, where cockpit actions are automated. off the top of my head, I'd have an option to trigger automated formation flying, landing, fueling, etc. Select the appropriate object with padlock, activate, the AI flies you their wing and forms you up. Would certainly make some of the campaigns much more enjoyable when dealing with annoying precision flying. Or, don't add anything, and just drive people away.
  9. But whenever I read combat employment it never mentions tracking target, only releasing lock on target and waiting 2 seconds? Huh, in German manual I see “hold pre designate on target for 3 seconds.” I wonder why it’s not in combat employment? Thanks for info on wind speeds!
  10. Thanks. I'll give that a try.
  11. If you get the new dampers you can turn down your spring tension and get it to remain in place. I would not recommend the Jet or FBW cams, but the mild cams. It has three different collars to limit the travel of the stick. (Sm, Med, Lg) I've got the new curved extension and its nice, but I went back to my older 200mm extension. It's also easy to calibrate after changing cams, springs, and especially the travel collar, and no software necessary. But I do recommend you download the latest drivers to get the Thrustmaster Control Panel in your START menu for Firmware updates, TARGET is not required unless you want to map profiles. You should see if the base is now available with the new dampers when it's purchased new. I would not buy the FBW cams if all you fly is Helo's
  12. I think it’s working. You’ll notice when HMS is 30-45 degrees it won’t lock IRST at all but only R-73 giving you the dashed cross. R-73s might take a moment to get ready anyways
  13. The older litening pod seems to work ok. GBUs release, auto-lase and hit properly. But: Cannot get a release with the advanced TGP (worked before, after the F16-C came out of early access) The new TGP remains blurry, out of focus the whole time, even when I hold position on it for a long time. The older TGP is sharp Will continue experimenting and will report here
  14. I'm talking about LITENING, not ATFLIR.
  15. Im very excite F1M super power radar pls no more nerf CC EE radar

  17. Could you elaborate and make some suggestions on what those difficult levels would entail? I have little trouble imagining it, except for the takeoff/rudder helpers in the warbirds. (Maybe gyros in helicopters like RC?) And don't really see how the switchology could be made simpler without breaking the systems. Sent from my SM-A536B using Tapatalk
  18. That's the case for the cowl flaps, oil cooler, and intercooler. However the propeller governor is a positional lever that functions like the throttle handle. It would be most accurate to map it to an axis if you have one available.

  20. 1. Always launch from the .exe or shortcut. This will ensure that DCS launches in the way it is expecting, which will give you the best chance at a consistent experience 2. Anything you set in the NVIDIA control panel will act as an override and will take precedence over everything else (with the exception of settings you set to “auto” or “let the application decide”). Settings you set in the NVIDIA App will override the settings you previously set in the DCS launcher/in-app, or vice versa, depending on whichever you set last. I recommend using the launcher for these settings
  21. Fuel Tank Control knob, magneto switch settings are still not mapped, still +/-, Rocket switches still the same. And the biggest issue is the taxing issue. Really exasperating to taxi the aircraft to take off, it really ruins the whole experience before you even get started. Rudder Trim is still too erratic compared to all the other planes, but it does act like the Mosquito's elevator trim it jumps when you get to a certain point, as if you have gone over a steep hill. The Corsair acts like you have kicked the rudder when you get to a certain point getting the ball back to center. And I have pots for trim control not using the stick's trim hat.
  22. Give your voice in the other threads that have already asked for this. [emoji6] Sent from my SM-A536B using Tapatalk
  23. Very nitpicky but the option to choose the smaller option would be great!
  24. That's awesome ! Thank you for sharing added to my favourite bookmarks!
  25. I just watched Matt Wagner's YouTube cold start tutorial and he just skips the control BIT somehow. Once he has the Nav systems aligned and engines started he turns on the AFCS switch and the damper light on the left comes on and the Damper off warning light goes out. How did he do that? I would like to skip the BIT rather than turn off my FFB stick and turn it on back on again after the BIT.
  26. Today
  27. Part of me wanted to help to see the light and joy, but the attitude doesn't help. Deleted a huge text. Hope OP finds that dedicating one module at a time (1 month) to build up a solid memory of everything is better than picking and choosing like in other arcade titles. Fair skies.
