@Someone Please help him

You don't have to but it helps to prevent overheating or also helps so you don't forget to turn it off when you are cruising/RTB. Set avionic language in the gameplay or misc settings to english.

I saw this video and AI CPG is locking up targets no problem, but when I try it he never sees them. Is this possible or is this guy using some kind of hacks in this movie?

fixed by keep pressing lockon button for about 4-5s

Hi yes, you can set all the slots to hot start. In my Kola Sandbox I had two versions, one cold and one hot, but that was a pain in the rear to maintain, so I dropped the hot start version. All mission relevant data is in the mission overview PDF, it tells you what your target is and the weapons. For instance USA F-4E Slot 4: Seek & destroy Shilka near Bebra (TPOD) with Mavericks If you are supposed to attack a very specific target, like USSR MiG-21 Slot 3: Attack bridge near Boizenburg (238°, 157km) then the main manual will provide a target photo of it Hope this helps? Looking forward to the OP Firestorm videos (I have the notification turned on ). It is basically a very simple and straightforward mission, but it took me many tries to finally fly it to the end. Problem always was a lack of discipline. It could be so easy - call SEAD, wait for confirmation, keep distance, check George's yellow list with the TADS zoom function - boom TOS gone. But our ego has other plans - "I can do this on my own!" (...and there is still the secondary task waiting)

Collaborative Combat Aircraft (CCA) are all the craze in the defense world right now. By the time we get the F-35A module they will be forward deployed. Thoughts on simulating CCAs in DCS? This tech is built on Skunk Works’ Agile Drone Framework, which helps pilots with survivability, modularity, and seamless integration with 5th-gen fighters for air-to-air, air-to-ground, and ISR missions. This could bring next-gen tactics to life also making DCS much more in line with what warfighters are going to be dealing with. Drone on drone warfare seems to be the future. Here is a screen-grab from this video that dropped recently. Would love to hear what others think!

investigating Navigation Alignment after repair
Explicable replied to KnuckleDaWae's topic in Bugs and Problems
After DAYS of working at this, I have FINALLY found a workaround that I can reproduce with 100% success rate: Workaround for AFCS failing after repair on MiG-29A (Full Fidelity) IMPORTANT: When going for a repair at an airfield, don't try to realign gyros or nav or anything. Don't flick any switches after landing other than exactly what I say here: Shut off engines (right alt + home, right shift + home) Turn ground power on Repair Turn ground power on again (cuz it disconnects when repairing) Turn engines back on CTRL + T to neutral trim Left Alt + 9 to redo AFCS BIT test If you do anything else (change gyro settings, realign nav, turn off the afcs switch and turn it back on, it WILL break and be unrecoverable). Here is a track with proof of multiple consistent reproductions of this workaround: https://www.mediafire.com/file/1dddac66n3uon2f/Through_The_Inferno_CCS_v2.3.8-20250921-233402.trk/file -
Alas, buying EA in most cases achieves the opposite.

I've also used a lot of tinted visors on motorcycles, and yes the effect is overdone. That being said, you do, in certain conditions get *some* reflections on the inside of your visor. In real life, due to focusing ability at different distances (which cannot be done in VR), it is also not as distracting. I do like the 'real object in real lighting conditions' idea, but it'll have to be toned down (as another poster said, it's as if light is coming in from above and behind, which would not be the case), as well as some kind of simulation of focal effect to make it less 'in your face'.

Noticed the same on 4YA. Weird. I still need to test some things which I might have used to get it to work....

investigating Navigation Alignment after repair
Explicable replied to KnuckleDaWae's topic in Bugs and Problems
You missed part of the test. You need to take damage and then repair. And this is in multiplayer. Here is a multiplayer track where this is encountered.... constantly, sorry its too large for the forum upload. https://www.mediafire.com/file/lrajiyiruh0u0pw/Through_The_Inferno_CCS_v2.3.8-20250921-211620.trk/file I've tried all kinds of alternate methods like realigning gyros, nav prep, and resetting AFCS. NOTHING fixes it whatsoever. We tried hundreds of combinations that would literally be gigabytes of tracks. I included what I can. Every single user I have asked to repair their MiG-29A has been unable to get the AFCS to work after. Every single one. Additionally, ive only managed to get it to work ONCE after a repair, and it was by turning on ground power before repair, not touching anything at all, and then just starting engines back up, CTRL T to neutral trim, and then Left Alt 9 to rerun the bit test for AFCS. Thats the only way I got it to work. This is a big pain in the butt of an issue. I should be able to realign my nav and change other things without fearing that AFCS will break for no reason. -

The internet is an ego damaging place (what I mean is that there will ALWAYS be somebody who criticises, so don't take it personally). Thanks for trying to put information out there. If it were me I'd use an AI voice, or subtitles (purely to spare myself the irritation of getting needless criticism, as well as anonymity) Regarding the OPT setting on the range prediction (which currently just shows the same range as TACT or whatever the 'current' setting is called) - any idea what ideal parameters it should use? I'm assuming there's a 'best range' table or something along the best cruise range table you mentioned? And when the manual I have mentions 'fuel reserve', do you know what value that is? I haven't tested enough to see if it just flames out when it reaches zero. I should have looked, because I did flame out due to fuel starvation while playing online. Managed a glide approach onto a field, no issues - which also brought the question, how are the hydraulics powered with the engines shut down? Anyway, it flies really nicely, so that was a help. -

DCS: F-16C Viper Screenshots and Videos (NO DISCUSSION)

If you still had the Helios Patches applied, or you had modified those specific files manually to export, then the update would have returned them to their original, non-exportable format. Either re-install the Helios patches or re-do your modifications to those files, since they aren’t exportable natively by ED.

Radar Lock at short range but not ablte to fire the R27R

Limitation of MiG-29. It may become possible when COOP is implemented -
investigating Radar losing lock way too easy in all modes.

You probably just changed modes at wrong time. Like for example change from HPRF to MPRF only under 30-35 km max. -
