Вопрос №1: Почему на пульте управления закрылками 3 положения (убраны, взлёт, посадка), а фактически у самолёта только два положения (убраны, выпущены)? Ответ: У реального самолёта действительно только два положения (убраны и выпущены). Кнопки ВЗЛЁТ и ПОСАДКА выполняют одинаковую функцию, без разницы на какую нажимать (реальные пилоты пользуются только кнопками ВЗЛЁТ и УБРАНЫ) - закрылки будут выпущены на одинаковый угол. Почему так? Вероятная причина - унификация и использование пультов управления с более старых моделей самолётов МиГов. Возможно ранние прототипы МиГ-29 имели разные углы отклонения закрылок для взлёта и посадки, но потом от этого отказались (история умалчивает). Вопрос №2: Почему я не могу выпустить воздушный тормоз? Ответ: На самолёте МиГ-29(9-12) воздушный тормоз не выпускается: при подвешенном центральном ПТБ(бак); при выпущенных шасси; при полной потере электропитания; при превышении скорости по прибору более 1000 км/ч. That's a weird random issue that pops up occasionally. No real reason and it seems to be individual people rather than widespread when it happens so likely corruption on their install for no apparent reason. -
No, i created a new clean loadout - selected the Station 7 with the right mouse button. The only things that i can select are smokelaunchers. i dont overide an existing one. I do this hundered times on and other plane - but in the MiG it will not work.

Based on real documentation, it is working as source documents show, but we will be changing this, so one push (no need to hold) will discharge all with a 0.16 delay in between. Releasing the button will not stop it; the only way to stop it would be to turn off the Master Arm. This change will be coming in a future update. Thanks! -
Can you try to disable all mods. There are a lot of error messages. Maybe just rename the folder in the savedgames.

And the beautiful thing about FFB is that you can dial down spring/damper/friction forces just the way you like it, since it’s purely software based, instead of having to faff about with different pieces of hardware to be swapped out.

I think pilots and parachutes should be exempt from units for which black dots are drawn from longer distances because not only are humans not visible from that far out (but large parachutes are) they are first drawn as 1 dot then 2 separate dots (1 pilot 1 parachute) and they are represented same as aircraft for which they are often misidentified (because in DCS that far out they look the same as aircraft, black dot is a black dot right?, but in real life they don't). So I think it would be better not to show them as dots at all, instead just show the normal 3d model?

Indeed, I'm tapping the consent to fire button wich is, in the keybindings, set to the red pickle butten on the stick. The upper half of the centre of the George AI onscreen menu is "select", the bottom half is "FLIR/DTV". The bottom half works fine, the upper half is not, no matter to what button is assigned. So long press works...short press doesn't...

Hmm... How about lessen the spring tension and increase the damper force until it stays in place? (Use the "without springs and FFB" trim setting). And, add an extension. This will make your life easier. It seems your committed to DCS, so you might want to consider an FFB base down the line. You might even be able to pick up second hand Moza bases in the UK now. I would like to introduce a mission aimed at providing quick fun - the MiG-29 Interceprorado. It features 8 randomised intercepts, ranging from simple assistance for lost aircraft to intercepts of sitting ducks to challenging dogfights. https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3347187/ Laage Air Base, Northern Germany. Dawn breaks grey over the shelters when the klaxon wails — SCRAMBLE! You are the quick reaction alert pilot on duty. Your MiG-29 waits cold and dark inside the hardened shelter. No time for comfort, no time for doubts — climb in, bring the Fulcrum alive, and get airborne. Ground Control will vector you onto unknown contacts. Some will be routine escorts, others simple intercepts for identification. But be warned: not every flight on the scope is friendly. A target may just turn hot… and sometimes you’ll find yourself staring down a fight for your life. The intercepts are randomized — you will never know what’s waiting over the horizon until GCI gives the call. One mission may feel like a drill; the next could be a knife fight at supersonic closure. Your tasks: + Startup, taxi, and takeoff on alarm. + Follow GCI instructions to intercept unknown traffic. + Engage only when cleared or threatened. I will like to introduce my next Chinook mission - Operation Brass Ring. This is a sling loading and transport mission, playing in 1984 in Germany, with the cold war turning hot. https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3347110/ Situation Date: 15 September 1984 Location: Inner-german border, east of Kassel Weather: scattered clouds, winds 6 knots Time: 0800 Local (0600 Zulu) Advance elements of a Warsaw Pact Motorized Brigade have breached the inner-german border east of Kassel and are now advancing on Autobahn A7 west towards Kassel. Reacting to the growing tensions in the preceding days, Royal Air Force Germany (RAFG) and the British Army Of the Rhine (B.A.O.R.) have forward deployed elements of 18 Squadron RAFG and a battery of BAOR L118 field artillery to Fritzlar Army Airfield. In the morning of 15 September the alarm sounds and Chinooks are ordered to transport the L118s to an ambush position following the rapid response doctrine. The battery is set up to engage the advancing enemy at the vital Werra viaducts of the A7, crossing the Werra river - a strategic bottleneck. Not a MiG-29 expert in any way but according to the manual: On the front panel of the ISTR4 indicator there is a switch "T-R" [9], to select information about remaining fuel base on direct in-tank measurement or based on flow-measuring calculations of STR system; a switch "TAC. – OPT." [2], change estimated distance indication: for max fuel conservative flight modes "OPT" or for actual flight mode fuel consumption. The ISTR4 scale provides fuel readings in hundreds of kilograms. The estimated distance in EN cockpit in nautical miles So in TAC, is hows you flight distance for regular flight "TAC" or for very conservative flight "OPT". So when in OPT, the distance is greater than in TAC, but you'll have to adjust your way of flying to conserve fuel. I am unaware of which parameters actually constitutes this though in terms of speed, RPM etc.

There are comments in this ^^^ thread about initiator.id vs initiator.id_, and other points about avoiding errors. I will attach the mission and notes. Mine are swapped and I only use the standard 'left' and 'right' setup in my monitor config. Not swapped, it just simply shows the CPG ones no matter what.

The deck is empty only until you select flights to launch from the carrier. There is no statics just for the reason you mentioned as when launching all six Tomcats and six Hornets from one carrier they have hard time enough not to collide even without statics. There is no way player could add statics or active units into the campaign as missions are protected by ED.
