Changes to the behaviour of net.dostring_in()
eaglefirefly replied to BIGNEWY's topic in Scripting Tips, Tricks & Issues
Hello, I know this has been reverted but please could someone TLDR why you would use this over 'assert' ? -
I'm really sorry for the delay, but I'm getting less and less time at the moment. That said, I think I've found the solution. I'm posting here the full results of the last few months of upgrades, pending a hypothetical release. ==:20.88.553:== 553 fixed [timing] bug 2nd strike TOT 552 fixed [spawn] 6-pack spawn bug 551 fixed [assign] bug assigning player in multiplayer 550 fixed [alias] removal of aliases from oob_air_init, automatic transfer to \Init\various_table.lua 549 fixed [WPT] WPT before landing 548 fixed [spawn] anti-collision at air spawn 547 fixed [campaign] campaign can be updated during play by modifying Init files 546 fixed [date] 1970 bug again 545 add [date][time jump] time jump possible with conf_mod (change date in conf_mod then run SkipMission.BAT) 544 fixed [inter] player interceptors are "delayed" 543 fixed [weather] added latest weather presets + major bug on random weather 542 fixed [AI] prohibits in-flight refueling and strafing for AIs 541 fixed [scen] map buildings are not destroyed when they should be 540 fixed [debrief][stats] revision of map building destruction detection and statistics code 539 fixed [debrief][stats] ground unit destruction stats error 538 fixed [refuel][M88] CheckRefuelProgress (in progress) 537 mod [loadout][M87] change of logic for the “day” variable: day will always be considered true (even if it's not in the loadout). I think it's more important to get much more AI aircraft and units into DCS World. We have plenty of flyable aircraft. But that's perhaps another discussion

You have to go to your profile and then attachments and delete unwanted/unused attachments to free some space again.

I just did it a second ago. Landed with center tank attached. 6,800lbs of fuel left yet. Opened AR door, called for refuel, center tank still attached, 7,300lbs of fuel. Unless it takes more time to depressurize the tank. I do it right before rearming. Unless it takes more time then I will start opening the AR door as soon as I land and start taxiing to a parking spot. Let me give that a try quick.

Still cannot get rid of blur looking to the sides, Pimax Super
Marshallman replied to Marshallman's topic in Pimax
OK I have just update the Nvidia driver, which adds another factor. Monty tried 300fps, then back to 120 fps and back at 72hz more stutters than at 90.... Just went online on the Mayhem server(4Ya UK aerobatics) and no stutters to 45 degrees from forwards, however beyond that quite a few. Out for the evening now, will pick up tomorrow.. Suggestions welcome. -

@JSF_Aggie Absolutely fantastic work by you and your son! I'm incredibly jealous of your son's fusion 360 skills (something I'm working on myself). As a fellow SimFab owner, I would absolutely love to recreate what you've done here...particularly the pedestal portion of the setup as I will be using a touchscreen monitor and Helios to replicate a number of different aircraft. Is there any chance that you and your son would be willing to share your design plans so that I could replicate what you've done? That said, thank you so much for sharing your work. I always appreciate seeing the hard work and creativity of others in this community. Best of luck to him at college this fall!

Aerial torpedoes has implemented and working on Ju-88T AI unit from some years ago, the problem has talked, the associated funtionality, but a very missing weapon on DCS has none Depth charge / antisubmarine weapons. ED has planned by the PTO Assets pack some capable torpedo carriers: TBF “Avenger” (Mk-13 torpedoes and DC missing). PBY “Catalina” (Mk-13 and Mk-24 Fido torpedoes, retroboms and DC missing). B6N “Jill” (Type 91 torpedoe missing).

Deck Crew AI directing me on to blocked cat.
Rolds replied to DmitriKozlowsky's topic in Bugs and Problems
Does it not work with the supercarriers or maybe I just don’t know how to do it anymore? I was using CVN 72, taxied into position, lowered the launcher, pressed the bind which I think was U, but nothing happened. -

Marshallman replied to Marshallman's topic in Pimax
Yes I slid it to 70 fps I have it also at 90fps in Nvidia controls app under the DCS tab. @madmonty I will try more experimentaton with that later..... -
Have you checked and adjusted your axis/deadzones in either aircraft?

DCS has torpedoes implemented on WW2 aircrafts and some WW2 and modern subs, the main problems.... has a very simplified funtionality..... The main problem? The Torpedo doesn't work like a torpedo; it looks more like a very stupid, very slow missile underwater. The torpedo doesn't seem to have a realistic gyroscope function implemented to steer toward the target, nor can it be fired in salvos or select the depth or speed. There are no underwater explosion physics, nor pressure or magnetic fuses... we could even say that the contact fuse is poorly simulated. They have no guidance, so there is no passive or active functionality in modern torpedoes (there is no sonar engine in DCSW), and there are no countermeasures. And of course, there are no bubble trails or electric or other propulsion torpedoes (we could almost say it's not simulated).

Heyo, thanks for the suggestion! I've just implemented it.

Each time I load my P-47 the break pedals and rudder shake and vibrate. This is regardless of whether I load a training mission or instant action. It definitely affects the handling. The rudder and pedals act as if I were adjusting them super speedily. This doesn't occur with my A-10C II. Any suggestions?

Ultimately, I can work with the Corsair's radio, but it's difficult to use because the sim cockpit is kept very dark. Since I only work in 2D with one screen, I also have problems getting a reasonable view. None of that makes it any easier. I'll try to assign the switches to the keyboard buttons

If the third-party MiG-17 and an updated MiG-21 are actually in the works, I'll bet ED would hit a home run by making a MiG-23. As some of the comments show, it seems to be in very high demand.
