Good idea

I was just there a few weeks ago. The last time I had visited was back in ‘99. It’s quite an impressive collection. The uniforms are in such good condition they could be mistaken for repros which I assume they are not. It’s a bummer that the Trench Experience is gone or greatly reduced. That was fantastic. Definitely a must see place.

Hey, I am sure this has been sold, but thought I would ask, just in case.

I stopped playing for a few months. Moved to a new place and finally got the sim setup and its just been running funny. The game runs fine its just getting to the point of actually playing it that's the issue. I'm currently doing a slow repair and did the sfc and dism. I deleted the dxgi.dll and I suspect that its there because i had bin-mt pinned to task bar and every time i booted up DCS it was running bin-mt.

Yeah, can't comment on that one too much, just something it pulled out of the DxDiag report along with general recommendations that could resolve that. The DxDiag contains the last 10 Windows system errors so don't know if it's in there since the Windows update or not. When did the black screen start occurring, just since the last DCS update, or since that and has fine up until today? Any other changes around the same time this started happening? Was happening before or just after the Windows update? Just trying to nail down a timeline for anything that could have changed in your system.

Thank you. I’ll try all of the above starting with deleting dxgi.dll and create a new shortcut for DCS via bin as opposed to bin-mt. Not sure why I’m having the windows issue. I have plenty of space and just updated windows a few days ago. Only thing I changed was unparking my cpu cores but the issue was happening prior to that as well. Thanks again and I’ll post again with my results

I agree, the SAS servo at low speed is quite unstable now. I would recommend 2 things for now: 1) Holding down the FTR instead of turning off the SAS. 2) Breakout the yaw SAS during the low speed flight (<40kts), for example if you need a little left pedal during the flight, keep the yaw trim reference to the right, if the pedal position is far enough from the "referenced position", the hold mode will temporarily disengage, this will reduce the chance of erratic yaw caused by the SAS. Combined these 2 tips together will make the flight a bit easier. Good luck!

Is there any way to add options for a cold start so we can practice starting the aircrsrt and systems as well as flying to the target? Also, can we NOT have the mission automatically end after the target is destroyed so we can work on landing to? I mean, I get why people want an instant mission generator but at least we could have the option of cold start and landing to practice within the generated engine

Hello! In OvGME, it gives you a prompt when you enable a mod that overwrites files of another enabled mod. In OMM, it doesn't do this. Instead, I can only have one or the other selected. I was wondering if it'd be possible to let it do that in OMM like OvGME does it.

I've dropped your log into the log analyzer. As expected based on the starting entries in your log file you have corrupted files in your Saved Games\DCS folder. Repairing the game won't fix that. Config File Corruption Delete or rename Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\Config\options.lua and try again. If that still doesn't work then rename your Saved Games\DCS.openbeta folder to DCS.openbeta.old (rename so you can get back your bindings in the Config\Input directory so you don't lose your control bindings)

I think conceptually it's a good idea - & perhaps a good start at that idea (is it easing in tech developed for the campaign mode?). At the moment it's a 'simple mission generator' rather than a 'quick mission generator' as (I timed it) it took me 6:28 to make a mission with a couple of targets, some AAA & some ground troops & set a loadout, and 11:05 to replicate that in the QMG (probably 2/3 of that waiting for the mission to generate) As the OP said, one thing that seems to be missing is the ability to add 'structures' from the static objects list That said, I do like how it always throws in a large building for A2G missions so you can find the targets without a full briefing

День добрый. Использовал впервые "пробный период", на 2 недели..да взял Англосакса. До этого был небольшой опыт только на FW-190A8 да P-47D40. Модуль бы "освежить", в плане визуала кабины да внешки, добавить новые эффекты вращения винта...ну и конечно контента, просто даже с русскими субтитрами. Самолёт интересный, красивый. Звучит прекрасно. Кабинет удобный. Пилотируется, как показалось, несколько сложнее чем P-47, к примеру. (по рысканью таскает да триммера элеронов нет). По вооружению пока не понял, в плане дамаг модели. Будто браунинги "тандерболта" пилят интереснее чем симбиоз винтовочного калибра да "хиспано". В целом впечатления положительные. Жаль только нет новой Нормандии у меня, упустил момент когда можно было обновиться за 10 долларов имея прошлую её версию и Ла-Манш. Спасибо!

EDIT: See my last point I added re: the dxgi.dll in the bin-mt dir, I only just spotted that. Remove it (which the repair with remove files should do anyway, but do it yourself first to ensure it's not conflicting with the latest DLSS changes). The DCS log analyzer shows this for your crashes: Your DCS has crashed The crash occurred inside VCRUNTIME140.dll. Try a slow repair of the game, selecting the option to remove files. Delete Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\fxo and metashaders2 and try again., Next, delete %LOCALAPPDATA%\TEMP\DCS.openbeta and try again., Next, try renaming Saved Games\DCS.openbeta to DCS.old and try again. The VCRUNTIME140.dll issue is also mentioned below in the DxDiag report. I'd recommend downloading and installing/repairing your Windows C++ distributables. You want the vc_redist.x64 version from here. Latest supported Visual C++ Redistributable downloads | Microsoft Learn Note that this is not a gaurantee, but just to rule it out. From the DxDiag report in that crash zip. Notice also the reference to VCRUNTIME again. Windows Error Reporting (WER) Application Errors DCS.exe: was hung for 60.78s and killed, was hung for 35.79s and killed, was hung and killed, c0000005 (VCRUNTIME140.dll) Microsoft Update / Store issues Make sure you have enough free disk space., Run SFC and DISM to check your Windows., Run wsreset.exe to reset the Microsoft Store cache, .- Run the Windows Troubleshooter and select Windows Update. For the SFC and DISM commands you want to open a command prompt as administrator and run the below two commands separately, then restart your PC. dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth sfc /scannow Additional items from the log analyzer: Disable game mode Disable Hardware Accelerated GPU scheduling Disable Core Isolation You have another copy of the dxgi.dll in your bin-mt directory. I know of only two reasons for this. Remove it and see what happens as well. You should also run DCS from the bin directory and not the bin directory as bin-mt will be removed in the future. Both bin and bin-mt are multithreaded now.
