What has me completely baffled is that from the moment the BF109K-4 came out in access, I have never had these problems with engine stops. I don't usually fly it live, but I have flown it a couple or three times a week, and this has been a surprise to me.

as of 9/24/25 getting incompatible settings for all loadouts
arnon replied to arnon's topic in DCS: F-16C Viper
OK. Thanks @Vakarian and @MeanJim - both of your answers were very helpful. The incompatibility thing was nailed, and after practicing with the advanced pod I got good enough to find and hit my targets. Some targets I could never find, but I guess that's like real life too -
Есть подозрение, что вопрос в унификации. Такой же блок управления закрылками стоял и на МиГ-23. Там положений механизации, как раз, три.Тут еще писали, что на двадцать девятых поздних выпусков использовался блок на две кнопки.

You may try to change order of OpenXR layers.
-
Because this have small objects involved. I'll check MSAA and report back.
-
It is not giving me trouble with any other game, software or whatever other than DCS, but we don't know for sure its G HUB.

I get what you are suggesting, but why would that apply specifically to the missile/rails and nothing else? I have a little bit of ghosting with fast aircraft moving against the background with DLAA, but nothing llike the jittering of the missiles.
-
You have a temporal anti aliasing turned on (DLSS, DLAA, TAA, FSR...) With a temporal solution for anti aliasing, some object movements are nullified (wingtip and rails) while others are conserved (wingtip AAMRAMS). It is dependent on contrast and size. So they appear disconnected. Try to zoom right into the missile and rail to see if the rail and missile are moving together. IIRC I did that and saw them properly connected. It is been a while I don't use MSAA and always saw this discrepancy using DLAA since late 2023 when I got the Viper. There are other instances of this phenomenon happening as well, in and outside DCS.

he's talking about the mw-50 vs fuel in the mw-50 tank. Technically, you overboosted the engine only once (without mw50), so this switch's position shouldn't really matter that much so early into the flight time, however I noticed you got to 2600rpm & 1.4 ATA pretty quickly and stayed there until the engine failure. Try limiting to 1.3 ATA max and see if that extends the engine's life (don't over-boost to 1.8 ata either, even if just for a split second). null

yes it can if you take off from the carrier with an incorrect trim ....

F-4E Intercept Advice – Best Practice After a GCI BOGEY Call (AI Jester)
Omega417 replied to Zev's topic in DCS: F-4E Phantom
Another big thing to think about is the size of your target. You can pick up a flight of bombers at 50k ft. Pretty much at the max range of your scope. MIG 21s and other smaller single seat fighters have a smaller RCS if they're heading straight at you. So listening to that "Hot/Cold/Flanking" should give you an idea of when you will pick up the target. And if youre doing things manually, which Aspect knob to use. -

In my mind, G-HUB is an absolute crap piece of software that shouldn't be running if possible. Other's milage may vary. Only thing it is good for, is to keep the rainbow puke on my mouse at bay, but for that I'm not willing to compromise my DCS experience.
-
My perception from the video is, that there is much more wing tip movement due to the inertia of the missiles, but the connection between the missile and its rail seems rock solid. What I was going for ist that in the game the missiles jiggle relative to their rails. The momentum on the wing is missing for the most part. But that's just not a feature and no "bug" afaik.

I'm not so sure if the real world methods are applicable to a Joystick in front of or on top of a desk.... Trust me on that. The less resistence your stick offers, the better for helicopter flying. Ideally you would have a stick that has no/little/adjustable spring re-centering force and holds every postion you put it in (like a real world cyclic would), but that would need a FFB-Device like the VP Rhino of FFBeast (or the frinckin' Moza). VERY recommendable - but VERY expensive as well.... With a common spring loaded joystick, it is vital, that you choose the right trimming mode in the special options and learn how it works! You DON'T want to fight the stick!

For me, everything is running fine with the OG Crystal. No crashes and very good performance. You might want to check if you run some unofficial mods or did do some fancy stuff to the finicky pimax software. A full repair of DCS might also help.

The pressure thing was a British Army instructor teaching new pilots to take off/hover in their first Gazelle lesson, in a 1990s documentary. I figured he'd know what he was talking about... I already have no curve set, nor any saturation. It's all on default, +/- zero. I'll have a play with the trim later tonight... and try not to look at my dashboard!

High mouse polling rate causes stutter
silverdevil replied to SharpeXB's topic in Game Performance Bugs
i was not trying to be crass. so i apologize if i came off that way. i use G HUB too. i have 11th gen i9 which does not have P/E cores. only 8 cores which are like P cores. lots of users have 14th gen (which i believe @SharpeXB has). there are many of these users with various problems. keep in mind that it is intel. they have been perceived for many years as managerial oafs. i bet they are cutting corners with chip production. back to G HUB. i have two mice. one is for DCS. it is on a desk mounted tray in the center of my desk and chair position. i use my left hand to operate in DCS. both are set as below. note that the DPI speeds matter too. DCS is not an FPS so who cares. -

Technically we have none and none is planned. But the general types we have are F-4 and F-16, with A-6 coming soon.
