Does anyone else like to have this feature added? If the answer is "YES", then please chime in. More users speak up directly relates to incorporation of features. Are there any ideas for another term for "DESIG AGAIN"? How about "VERIFY RANGE" or keep the "NOT LASING" / "LASING" terms?

AGM-45 Shrike Quick Guide by Klarsnow - updated June 5th 2024
Zabuzard replied to HB_Painter's topic in DCS: F-4E Phantom
Not necessarily. You have to visuallize the radar beam going out of the SAM station pointing at for example your aircraft. The Shrike needs to ride that beam down, more or less. If you fly elsewhere, the SAM will keep the radar beam on you and your shrike will stop being able to "ride it down" as it now does not sit on the line between you and the SAM anymore. Same happens when the SAM decides to do business with another aircraft that isnt right next to you. Or when it decides to switch to optical tracking, turning off its radar. Or when it sees the shrike and rather turns off their radar last minute to stay alive. There are many cases that result in your missile hitting the dirt. -
ED has confirmed, on a future, use the Supercarrier carrier crew technology to make propper ground crew on bases (as CAG on base Towers). No dates . The actual APA-5D missing all "features" and animations arguments to a propper mobile ground power unit and no animations implemented on the modelviewer . Not bad If ED can build a "APU" funtionality on a vehicle and make the propper "plug-in/unplugin" feature (on fact cables will be a extension on actual sling ropes) to make more inmersive bases and other. Other poing has add the propper connectors and plugs on aircrats and others with open pannels (power, fuel, air, etc).

Engine / AC performance is not listed on the bug tracker, which implies Magnitude is in "the flight model is correct" camp. I disagree. This kind of testing isn't difficult, but it also shouldn't be the responsibility of the player base to validate. And the lack of feedback means the community inevitably will resort to incessantly fighting over it. It's one thing to ask your player base to be your partner assisting test and development. It's another thing entirely to ask them to do it in an information vacuum, and to let the arguing just rage on, often untethered to reality. We're to the point people are explaining away the F.M. problems with gobbledegook. No offense to Rudel but "it does 280 mph on this race:" is gobbledegook. It's irrelevant that the plane flies "faster than 200mph" if it doesn't achieve historically accurate speeds. Which it doesn't. Period. Post a video and prove me wrong. The Prop RPM explanation - pure an-adulterated gobbledegook 'You just aren't flying it right' - a serious contender for the gaslighting gobbledegook award. We have the performance charts, so where is the track file demonstrating the F4u is correct? It's broken at sea level, and that's as much as I'm willing to test in a vacuum. My opinion the F4 flight model has a long way to go.

Hi, sorry you feel like you are being ignored, we have no plans for a single push button ejection for home cockpits. You could consider using a macro, my own cockpit setup is unique and I have a second logitech mouse and use a macro for single press ejection. This may not suit your needs however. best regards bignewy

From Heatblur Discord. (last update on July 2025) Remember F-14B(U) was show on "2025 and beyond" video, with a Sparrowhawk HUD.

No, as I have no software between the input button in the cockpit and DCS. DCS recognizes just DeviceA, Button36 and all I can choose from are the states "on" and "off". I really love how the devs ignore this thread again. No statement, nothing. Perhaps I should stop throwing money at them.

Ok thanks for that. I don't get a lot of time for DCS but I was a weekly tomcat driver on DCS for about 4 years or so flying no other aircraft. When the Eurofighter was announced by HB I was majorly excited to be getting a new aircraft that I wanted to get my teeth into, still waiting on that. In the meantime RB released the F15E and I jumped straight in, spending my precious time learning that aircraft and parking the F-14. To say I was annoyed when the bottom fell out of the F-15E is an understatement, I am a full online squadron pilot and never really do single player, so when the F-15E stalled the whole of my squadron dropped the F-15E making my dedicated learning worthless. Since then (just over a year and a half now) I haven't picked DCS back up. I am eagerly awaiting the Eurofighter which seems to be taking an age. When I heard that HB were finally giving the Tomcat some more modern love I again got excited, I was hoping for a D with MFD's etc from day one but a B(U) will suffice. I was hoping the B(U) could be a stopgap until the EF arrives but I am doubting that now.

Sweet, I want to do a little texture experiment to add the mesh grating to the Elevators and also change the shape of the FWD to match real life. I’ll keep you guys posted as usual, see how like it. -Woog

Yeah, that is correct. Some in-progress pics of the F-14B(U) have (accidentally) been shared a few months ago in various channels. Shortly after the team has confirmed to work on this module in Discord. There is not much more to it yet, as the team focuses on finishing the Early F-14A first (which is part of the F-14 module you guys purchased). The latest "official statement" to the B(U) is:

Hi, I keep hearing about an F-14B(U) in development but cant see any official word on this anywhere. Is it in development and when are we likely to see it if it is?

Why are u using MSAA as AA and not DLSS?

Don´t use hand tracking, but I am sitting on a quite exiting platform. Link in my signature. The leap from an office chair to a platform is comparable to the leap from 2D to VR. VR with a platform is 90% like real flying, and with a seat belt tensioner it's already 99%

DCS even has the correct vehicle since always. VPC Airfiels mod has this APA-5D with unfolded cable arms and cables lying on the floor. What we miss badly is animated technician, especially since IRL communicating is possible not only by radio, plug-in phones but also gestures.

Check your bindings. Especially for modifiers. Also, post a track, (when you exit the mission there's a button called "Save Track"). Just give it a relevant name and drag'n'drop it here. The devs can then take a look and tell you what's wrong. Cheers! Sent from my SM-A536B using Tapatalk
