  2. ***I've posted this in AI Vehicle bugs as well. If one of these topics is in the wrong place please let me know and I will remove it.*** This mission is a convoy escort mission for the Apache to replicate a battle in the Helmund Province. The convoy is set to start at 06:00 and move up along a canal. I've got a large number of troops along the way for the apache and convoy to deal with. The convoy is set to return fire, invincible, and to not disperse under fire. They move along well for a while but once they come up a rise where they can see the troops will pause then begin moving very slowly. The convoy gets very strung out and vehicles in the rear stop completely. I've tested with various different speeds, vehicle types, and group settings but still have the same issue. Can anyone look at the attached mission and help me out here. I'd greatly appreciate it. Best, Climber Afghan Op Panthers Claw Mission 2.miz
  3. There is also no way to disable proximity fuse. So if you intend to use missile against ground, the more vertical the attack the better so the proximity fuse isnt triggered too early. But who knows about DCS

  5. @Northstar98 is correct; the B and the late-model A are both MMCAP-upgraded birds, representative of the mid-90s (circa '93~'94 at the earliest). The early-model A is more mid-80s (circa '83~'84 at the earliest).
  6. @quantum97 I believe most users would like this map because it's been requested several times. Though many rather wants an expansion of the Caucasus. Unfortunately ED has stated many times they won't do it because of the current conflict. Sent from my SM-A536B using Tapatalk
  7. Pffff... No worries. I've lived in Karachi. Brasil a great experience? Fantastic experiences all the way! My brother married my "au-pair". Divorced now, but they produced some beautiful kids. I've promised my sister in law to tell her when I go back, so we can go together. I still have contact with her family in Fortaleza. That's easy. Receife. First I went to Brasil I was going to visit a buddy in the US East Coast after. Oh boy what a ride. Fortaleza-Natal-Receife-Salvador-Rio, then Rio-Saõ Paulo-LAX, then LAX-Cleveland-Baltimore. And then we drove to Fort Lauderdale. On topic... Exactly! Would probably save ED some time in the long run. Same, but I do want the eye candy. Open Mod Manager can get you a long way with automation. Cheers!
  8. So? Does that means that your pc is immune to hardware faults? Check its ram module’s seating, try it either just one module, you’ve got nothing to lose.

    Aquila-EX Visors

Thank you for these fantastic visors! It looks like the last patch messed something up on these unfortunately. The JHMCS visors have just a sliver of the chosen color near the top and the standard visor appears matte rather than reflective. null
  10. It wouldn't do a whole lot of damage, though. It can kill softskins or nearby infantry, but those expanding rod warheads are useless against any sort of armor. It's a small warhead for killing aircraft, not an ATGM. An IR seeker will track anything that has enough contrast, and you can certainly use IRST for tracking a target, for instance in order to strafe it, but an AA missile isn't going to be very effective in most cases.
  11. Something I've learned: don't boresight Mavericks on the ground. Doing it while airborne is the difference between OK and perfect. -Ryan
  12. Ive had this computer for 3 years. Nothing has changed but Windows 11 and a bios update. I cant get in to bios. Wont load. K have had no problems until this Install.

  14. An F4U-1D Cockpit that Looks and Feels... Right (60° FoV). In an attempt to mitigate the canopy lumber, and to better proportion the wings, as all were somewhat foreshortened w/ the previous 55° FoV settings, have reset the entire hanger, and Options/System/External field of view, to 60°. Save a 'RAlt+num0' cockpit view angle to get it implanted in the User 'SnapViews' file. With Notepad++, open C:/user/"user name"/Saved Games/DCS.openbeta/Config/View/SnapViews.lua. 15. I, for one, would enjoy launching R-27ETs at ships and tanks.
  16. I would like to leave it on, but I always fly with it off. My reason is that the left arm and hand on the throttle obscures switches and dials on the left console that I need to access while flying. So I'm wondering how you avoid that problem flying with the pilot body turned on.
  17. Gotta ask, which warhead are we talking about? The RPG-7 has been capable of launching a bunch of different warheads, and they've varied in effectiveness over time. There's at least the PG-7V, VM, VS, VS1, VL and VR that came out between the 60s to late 80s period, with penetrations ranging from 10 inches to over 20 inches of RHA.
  18. Please suggest good non fiction books...
  19. Are these cutouts intended? Is it suppose to be like this in real life? Find them distracting in my headset.
  20. I propose adding a map of Ukraine and the neighboring regions of Belarus, Russia, Moldova, Poland, Slovakia and Hungary where map will extend approximately 150 km in from the northern and eastern borders. This is a good idea because a wide range of weaponry is currently being used in the conflict in Ukraine, and most of it is represented in DCS. Ukrainian Air Force (Equipment already implemented in DCS is underlined) F-16C, MiG-29A, Su-24, Su-25 FC3, Su-27 FC3, Mirage 2000, Mi-8, L-39 Yak-52, Mi-24 Su-17/22 Historical , Other Western platforms in the future. Russian Air Force (Equipment already implemented in DCS is underlined) Su-27 FC3, MiG-29, Su-30/35 [Flanker Project Mod], Su-25 FC3 ,MiG-31, MiG-35, Su-24, Su-34, A-50 AI, L-39, Ka-50, Ka-52, Mi-8, Mi-24, Mi-28, Su-17/22 Historical This map could also encourage players to purchase Eastern aircrafts, and potentially FF Su-27 in the future. To further enhance the map's realism, it could have two versions: one set before 2014 and one set after, allowing players to choose whether cities are damaged or intact, as well as selecting a winter or autumn textures, because this region changes significantly depending on the time of year, and this will also finally allow to create a detailed Crimea, without remastering Caucasus. Also, to further increase the map’s potential, it could feature a relatively large number of airfields. This list only shows airfields within Ukraine it's hard to imagine the total number if we will include those from neighboring countries. Source: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_airports_in_Ukraine I apologize if I overlooked any DCS aircraft from either side, and please let’s keep the discussion away from politics.
  21. Is this happening in the pilot cockpit? If so, you can select the ECM switch instead of the TID repeater (switches on the right knee panel) to always have RWR showing. If you want the TID to stay, switch to TID and switch the ECM OVERRIDE off. Otherwise, the system will prioritise the RWR as stronger returns are detected until it eventually stays on. Cheers! 22. Hey Stevecat, I’ve run into the same issue before, turned out it was just a matter of getting the folder structure right in OvGME. Once I double-checked the paths, everything loaded fine. By the way, I had a similar moment of trial and error when setting things up while travelling in Italy (great place, by the way, this quick travel guide to Italy really came in handy, https://gowithguide.com/blog/tourism-in-italy-statistics-2024-your-quick-travel-guide-to-the-beautiful-country-5775. Hope the tips here work out for you too once you get a chance to test them!
  23. Yeah, it switches targets. It's really annoying because it happens almost everytime. Lately we we're using the 114L ONLY with FCR because this way it's precise. A few months back we were shooting 114L with laser and the BDA X it was always offset by a considerable distance from the target and the missile always missed its target. We'll check it again, I read on the forum to "solve" the problem a reset on the INU was needed.
  24. Hmmm, the DCS log file shows the OpenXR Toolkit layer in there. I wouldn't have expected that this would be the case with that disabled. Can you uninstall the Toolkit completely and then drop another log file. In addition to this you're running DCS from the bin-mt folder. Run it from the bin folder instead. They're both multithreaded and the bin-mt folder and associated shortcut will be removed in the future.
  25. Above a certain altitude (20,000 feet or more) the navigation instruments start to go crazy and eventually DCS crash to desktop. Map: Syria, you don't need to make a cold start to reproduce it, just spawn at 20.000ft + and enjoy.
  26. It's just a side note to this thread, but that Essex Class carrier shot me down or damaged me about 6 times out of 20 bomb runs, maybe even more. I was coming in from at least 3500 meters, and 30-40 deg dive, and maybe 850 kph. So, it would be a pretty frightful fate to have to fly a Judy torpedo bomber against one of these ships by itself, let alone an entire Task Force, in 1945. All those Bofors guns really getcha.
