Ah, that's true of course. Didn't think of that. Well, then we need a function to swap those textures at will. [emoji1303] Sent from my SM-A536B using Tapatalk

But the models without light textures already are implemented and you see them during the day. That's why I said it doesn't matter if they are actual lights or baked textures - there are always two object versions: one for day and one for night.

The picture you have is an 1972 avant-projet, and it has nothing to do with a production aircraft.

@BIGNEWY, everything works perfectly with the MiG-29, correctly indicating both the path and the bearing to the radio beacons. However, I have a question regarding DTC and PRMG. In DTC, when we add an airport, for example, to a flight plan, we immediately have information about the PRMG bearing and the appropriate channel. Should we also add vehicles and enter the parameters manually in this situation? Or is this unnecessary if we're using DTC settings? Good idea, +1.

Setting didn't change, but as SharpeXB said sometimes it is ok and sometimes its not good and we have to change settings, DCS restart helps sometimes, and in some cases I even restarted my PC and it didn't help, I had to change pooling rate to fix the stutter. Its variable, I wish it isn't it would be easier problem to solve.

DCS: Ми-8МТВ2. Руководство пилота
Anivan78 replied to PilotMi8's topic in DCS:
Well, Block 30 later received radar, avionics and even engine uppgrade (and more mass...), but the author of the topis is talking about original 1980s Cold War/ Desert Storm Block 30, lighter, with less spohisticated avionics. It would be a great counterpart for 1980s jets. Suited for Germany and Iraq map. (2000s modernised Block 30 would be very similar to our Block 50 we already have in terms of avionics and performance, it would be rather pointless.)

Not dismissing that other people aren't seeing it, just sharing screens to help show it. Two visible "seams" to the cloud layer looking different directions. Information bar included in shots to help narrow down location/direction to look. Also included a screenshot of the Mission Editor setup for any further setup parameters that might be needed. As mentioned, it's far less apparent than the shot I originally quoted, so if this lesser example is expected or normal that's okay with me too, just appeared at first blush like the sort of thing that was being requested. Edit: also meant to add, I run zero motion blur inside of DCS.

Thanks Max. Launcher set to 0 - DCS.exe crashes/closes with no messaging The repairer close at the verify phase with no message Deleted the _download folder and tried launching the game - No change The odd thing is there was no change between one day working and the next not. I checked my Win11 updates and it has no updates in the time period, so I'm at a loss

MAXsenna started following .DLL failures + Launch/Repair loop

I see you already tried repairs. Try to open the options.lua and set the launcher to 0 to prevent it from opening. If DCS then starts, try another repair. EDIT: One more thing, try to delete the _download folder, and try a repair again. Can you show us the exclusions in your AV?
-
Some of us are slow readers, so please give us access to the manual a good bit of time in advance so we can actually fly when it releases. Please. (full disclosure, I'm actually a fast reader, but claiming to be a slow reader makes a better argument in favour of this )
-
OK, just deleted it now in the savegame\DCS folder and still getting the DLL errors, so I don't think it's even getting to the launcher step For some more context: The failure point is during the "Verifying Installed Files" phase. I've done the sqlite file - No change I've deleted (.OLD'd) the DCS folder in saved games too - No change
-
If you're using the launcher, there is a sqlite file I think that's been causing people issues. Do a search and you can likely find out what one it is and deleting it has solved some problems. I disabled the launcher as soon as it came out so I haven't paid enough attention to remember what the file is.

no crew on the carrier to guide launch and landing?
rob10 replied to Ladan's topic in Bugs and Problems
Likely you were using the Stennis carrier. It's "non-supercarrier" so has never had the full new deck crew. It used to have original deck crew but that was removed until ED can figure out how to have the original crew on it but the new crew on the others, so currently it has no crew at all. -
Thanks Rob, good point. Yeah I have it excluded, I also checked quarantine logs and nothing from DCS was captured in there. I have a horrible feeling I'll be DLing the whole game again

Massive stutters, especially in MP close to objects
rob10 replied to Ulukaii's topic in Game Performance Bugs
That is a good point that the actual MFD displays also don't need SimAppPro (they're just an extension of your windows desktop being displayed). -
1st thing to check/do is an exclusion from your anti-virus for DCS folders, then try a SLOW repair because your AV has probably quarantined some files. If you can't get it to run a repair try restoring the files from in your AV.

What an horrid thing about the imgur in the UK. My quota is done on the forum, so I can't put images here. That website, regardless of its first page content, was really easy to make images shareable. @HC_Official Thanks for the heads up. An excuse can be just that, an excuse. The means to do evil in disguise.

Depends. If you want lights and stuff that needs telemetry from the sim, yes. Just like Thrustmaster etc. For just buttons and axis that use Direct Input, no. You don't even need need the WW software to configure the MFDs. You can edit the monitor.lua yourself, or even have Helios make it for you. And Helios does not need to run for exports to work, only if you are using a Helios profile profile which needs telemetry for the instruments. Cheers! Edit: Sniped by my buddy @rob10!
