Okay I need some help. I have very very very limited knowledge on LUA. I'm trying to score bombs dropped on a specific target but I cannot get a return on this script. Where did I go wrong or do I just need to scrap it. -- Define target point local targetPoint = { x = 451519, y = 623, z = 897725 } -- Bounding box size in meters local delta = 30 -- +/- 30 meters local targetZone = { x_min = targetPoint.x - delta, x_max = targetPoint.x + delta, y_min = targetPoint.y - delta, y_max = targetPoint.y + delta, z_min = targetPoint.z - delta, z_max = targetPoint.z + delta } local score = 0 local bombsTracked = {} -- Function to check if position is within target zone local function isWithinTargetZone(pos) return pos.x >= targetZone.x_min and pos.x <= targetZone.x_max and pos.y >= targetZone.y_min and pos.y <= targetZone.y_max and pos.z >= targetZone.z_min and pos.z <= targetZone.z_max end -- Event handler for bomb impact local function onEvent(event) if event.id == world.event.S_EVENT_SHOT then local initiator = event.initiator if initiator and initiator:getTypeName() == "MK-82" then local pos = initiator:getPosition().p local bombID = initiator:getID() -- Avoid scoring multiple times for the same bomb if not bombsTracked[bombID] then bombsTracked[bombID] = true if isWithinTargetZone(pos) then score = score + 100 trigger.action.outText(string.format("MK-82 #%d hit the target! Score: %d", bombID, score), 10) else trigger.action.outText(string.format("MK-82 #%d missed.", bombID), 10) end end end end end -- Register event handler world.addEventHandler({onEvent = onEvent})

Well this is very odd - I've found that, in both the MiG-29 and F-4, as I progress the mirrors resolution setting from 512, to 1024, and then to 2048 (via the options.lua), mirror image quality does dramatically increase. But if I then go back and try 512 again, and 1024 again - they seem to be 'stuck' at 2048, i.e. the image quality never goes back down. It's as if the mirror quality has somehow permanently been increased; or, alternatively, it was originally too low and has been 'corrected' by the options.lua change. Thus, I can't go back and see what my MiG-29 mirrors used to look like - they now look good no matter what. But to illustrate the difference, here's what my F-4 mirrors looked like at 512 - terrible - and then what they're 'stuck at' now - so much better. Maybe it has something to do with the high, non-standard resolution I'm using - 7680x2160?

With SAS on (or trim, I can't remember which system, I haven't flown a Lima model since 2018), the Black Hawk has a heading hold function, which will automatically keep your heading within a few degrees until the trim release switches on the pedals are depressed. So you can (in theory) hover with you feet off the pedals. However, at least in my old unit, it was really rare. Most of us would just hold the trim release to hover, because we could hover better than the system could. The issue I'm having with it, is it doesn't ever seem to want to let go of the previous heading. If I do a slow pedal turn from a hover, then let off the pedals, it veers wildly back to the original heading from when I took off (or last time I clicked trim release on the cyclic). It behaves as if you were moving the pedals without putting your feet on the microswitches that are on the pedals. I don't know if it's a setting I'm missing, or a bad install, but if anyone else has had this issue, and been able to fix it, I'm all ears. Pedal trim release switches ↓

Flying the Hellcat compared to other warbirds?
kazak replied to Punkmonkey22's topic in DCS: Hellcat F6F
It SHOULD fly like a Spitfire with Corsair engine controls. It should be able to out turn any of the other warbirds. Shouldn't be as fast as the F4U, but the Mag3 Corsair is so poorly modeled in DCS that I don't even know how to factor it in. The Hellcat should outperform anything Japanese with energy maneuvers and it should be really close in turning. At near stall speeds, the zero will have a smaller turning radius but the Hellcat should never be at those speeds. You should be able to outclimb, outdive, and instantaneously outturn a zero provided you have enough energy to be at 6g's or so -

https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/927060 Currently $948 if you use the code at checkout I don't believe there is any disadvantage over the 9800x3d (except price difference) -

Cockpit 3D Model Mistake, safety wire in the wrong position

good thing the bolts are not animated and the jet will not fall apart. -
Realistically you would never sail a carrier group into the North sea or the baltic. Firstly because they are too vulnerable in such small seas and secondly because there is no reason to place a carrier group when you might as well just fly from adjacent land bases that are unsinkable.

Yeah, it is multiple people that have been experiancing the "just roll and the 27 is dead" bug. And it is not due to chaff, clutter, or anything some above responded. Its simply losing all tracking capability with good solid locks, when the enemy aircraft just rolls a bit. Honestly, I am suprised we haven't gotten an offical reponse to this yet. . .

The 3D Model of the Fulcrum has a slight mistake. In the top left corner of the HUD you can see 2 bolts with a safety wire attached. However, I believe the safety wire is in the wrong position. Right now it seems like it's untightening both bolts instead of tightening it, as you can see by the picture. This position would make them rotate counterclockwise, defeating the whole purpose of the safety wire. Here is the picture: Now, you could argue that maybe those bolts have a counterclockwise mechanism, however, you have the same bolts on the other side and they seem to be in the correct position, as follows: Now, it's not a huge deal so it shouldn't be a high priority, however, now I can't unsee it, and I'm sure others that see this post sadly won't be able to unsee it either. Besides that, everything about the module looks great, been having tons of fun in the MIG.

JAS 39C Gripen Community Mod

I see! [emoji1303] Out of curiosity for everyone. Does this mod have dependencies like Flaming Cliffs or the JF-17? It's so long since I used it. Cheers! Sent from my SM-A536B using Tapatalk- 508 replies

For all the people whom have been flying MiG-21s and Hinds, (SPO-10 my beloved) not getting a launch warning is not a problem I think And I hope this function will be pushed to all modules, inculding blue and red, so the case of the Magic RWRs that we have in most jets would not be the case anymore. But sadly as for, that the RWR just not even possible to use, since it gives back constant lock tone from a ground search radar that is on the friendly side 100 plus KM away is absurd. And this mixed with the unserviced SPO that can't work with a radar emitting (while it should, even if the reading could be chaotic in HPRF, but not even in MPRF there should be no problem) and I don't want to get into details here about the R-27R API bug where the enemy rolls and the missile stop tracking, since this topic is about the SPO. This things are core functions that needs to be fixed, since as for now other than enjoying the MiG in a traning server (what I have been doing greatly) you can't take it anywhere to fly in a digital combat setting, what ruins the point of a combat flight simulator.
