Thanks for the feedback. I did not know either piece of into. Let me check the trigger option out, however I know for a fact that I'm burning fuel waiting for a taxi. Why would AI be different? It's fine, tho. I'll check with a trigger when I get a chance. But please be mindful; There's an 800-pound gorilla in this thread, if you get the metaphor.

Hi, I've been having this problem for the last two DCS updates. It takes a long time, like a minute or two, to connect to my Steam account. Then the Nvidia and DCS prompts appear, and everything works as before. Best regards, and thanks.

I second this. AFAIK the Herc doesn't have an installer, while the UH-60L 2.0 does, because so many users don't understand where to correctly put the mods. Quite revealing. Just drag and drop the the folders for the Herc and Blackhawk out of the mods\aircraft folder to somewhere else like C:\temp Every mod should be installed via mod managers, which will give you full control with a few clicks. Even with Saved Games Mods. If I had a dollar for ever time a user had forgotten about a conflicting mod... Cheers!

The trick might be to check the range relation between the intermediate target like this diagram? With less accuracy but less time we could divide the range in quarters (less or more) and apply it to the intermediate target seen in the scope ? This is on vertical plane. Idk if it is the fastest way without using trigonometry lol. Edit : dividing the range of the primary target by the number of DeltaH clics might be the trick

SYRIAN INCIDENT - DYNAMIC CAMPAIGN SQUADS vs. SQUADS
Teknetinium replied to Teknetinium's topic in Tournaments & Events
Syrian Incident - Commanders & Generals We are pleased to announce that the strategic command structure for the upcoming Syrian Incident - Dynamic Campaign Squads vs. Squads is now taking shape. We have successfully secured at least one General/Commander for each coalition, ensuring strong leadership and tactical direction for both sides in the forthcoming operations. To further strengthen our command/General team and enhance strategic coordination, we are still actively seeking additional Commanders/Generals and squads to support each coalition. This is a unique opportunity to help shape the outcome of the campaign and contribute to the success of your coalition. Interested squads, candidates with leadership experience and strategic insight are encouraged to reach out to the 51stMDT support. This marks a significant step forward in our preparations, and we look forward to a dynamic and well-coordinated campaign. Further details regarding command appointments and operational planning will be shared in the coming weeks. Thank you to all participants and leaders for your commitment and professionalism. -
Oh, sorry, I misunderstood the problem. I think admiki's advice nailed that.

hm, there is a tu-154 around, supposedly an older static model an il-62 buried in the code of the cold-war-germany-extension / map, obviously static too, but no access possible, not even for a change of textures same for a tu-124 look at schoenefeld airport / berlin if ED could decide themselves to make these models available as stand alone static models, things would sure look much better cheers sinzov null

DCS Not Showing In Quest Link Apps
Desert Drydock replied to Desert Drydock's topic in Virtual Reality
Yepper, I'm a FNG to the VR language... So you're telling me that I can create the Open Kneeboard passthrough with what I currently have here? I'm likely 4-6 months out on the new PC build because I have a lot of dollar$ tied up in another project (a belt fed 5.56; if you can decode that) which is taking up my toy money for a while. I purchased the Q3S just to try it out and get back to my beloved carrier ops which will revert back to training. Catching a three wire isn't like riding a bike, so I'm sure I'm really rusty... The Warthog Project videos, like sleighzy's above post are what alerted me to the "mixed reality" features now available. The first one I watched a couple weeks ago caused me to wet myself and vapor lock. Then hating myself for committing to so much money with my current project. So I decided that I would try the Q3S with its lower resolution that my nine year old PC build may handle it just well enough if I stay at sea and keep a clean deck on the CVN. In all reality this old PC will likely surprise me, it smokes on F1 24. I fully planned on getting the Q3 after the new PC build anyway. So if the Q3S will run the Open Kneeboard passthrough, I'll just keep it and resume training in the interim. A P.S. note, I'm sure you can see how a FNG might get cross threaded on the terminology when first being introduced by a video that calls it "mixed reality" but I really appreciate the clarification! -

Will more RAM improve my fps?

I have a 5 year old gaming laptop that came with 16 GB. Earlier this year I went to 32 GB and if definitely made a difference for me with stutters. I think is was just the reduced cashing that helped it smooth things out. I plan to upgrade my rig in the next couple years but this certainly got me over the hump for now, so I say it is worth it. -
hi, unfortunately no release. cheers sinzov

Wingmen used to have more realistic start up times. I'd like to go back for immersion purposes, however it doesn't increase fuel use. AI planes use 0 fuel when stationary on the ground, even with engines running. I haven't tested this in quite a few DCS versions so you can double check with a fuel trigger if there is any doubt.
-
32 GB is certainly an improvement and 16GB without a doubt a bottleneck for DCS. Ultimately only you can decide how close or far an overall upgrade would be. If you are ok with the current peak performance, an update to 32GB will probably smooth out some of the drops.

Since I bought the FF mig 29, I've brought the L39 and Mi24 out the hanger for the first time in years. Fully enjoying re-learning all the eastern ways of flying over the germany map.

I wonder, Reflected, if you were willing to convert this campaign to the Dora. As another paid version of the campaign, of course. I just can't justify buying the Fw 190 A-8 only for your campaign. Its performance against the other warbirds (all late-war except the Spitfire) is simply too bad.

AI Fail to attack target behaviour
MK-82_1_EACH replied to MK-82_1_EACH's topic in Bugs and Problems
Like I said I noticed this on day one. Just glad other people are seeing this behavior. My speculation is some conflict with launching the weapon as the AI appear to go stupid on the 1st pass but re-attempt the pass but never drop or launch any ordnance.
