  1. Past hour
  2. Because ED hasn't modelled it for the Mi-8. The Mi-24 being much newer received this effect, just like the new Ka-50 update. One small rocket doesn't sound right though, you got a short track of it?
  3. I like it!!! A lot. Looks nice and clear with neater darker consoles, great work will definitely be using it if released for download.
  4. Adding to this topic. We did a few tests on a small private multiplayer server. Caucasus near empty mission. Perhaps not 100% scientific test, but with very low latency the host paused the server and then the clients then pushed F2 and F10 to compare data. We also shared screenshots. What we found is that desync mostly is proportionate to range & speed between clients and objects. For example: Two aircrafts flying in close formation. Nearly perfect sync between clients. We then increased the distance between aircrafts, the desync of altitude and position grew. Over long distances the differences was very notable on each client. With long range weapons the data difference was extremely noticeable. Harpoon, AIM-54 Phoenix, SLAM etc. Ground decals (craters) was not exactly synced but close enough. Iron bombs also seemed pretty good (at least when clients is flying in the same area). My best guess is that we're always dealing with some form of desync. Close formation flying is very accurate in terms of data between clients but the rest is so-so. And I get it, it creates an illusion of that we're seeing the same thing and the most critical aspect is synced up. If this is a design choice (performance etc) I don't know. But this is easily tested and can be replicated over and over.
  5. URGENT REQUEST Guys, please put this into Bug Reports. There are several problems with the WW2 planes and the more it's reported (officially) the more likely it is that something will (eventually) get done about it.
  6. Can u see my control logs? I pressed many times to lock but no functions. And when it try to lock, blinking, cant lock.check the elevation,it correct.
  7. If you have the screw pattern of the chair then you can compare it to the screw pattern of the chair mount yourself.
  8. Same here. Missiles sometimes, but sometimes just announcing but not firing.
  9. Have you looked at Current Hills mods? They are free and very high quality https://www.currenthill.com/
  10. https://youtu.be/fDjElbv3TNM?t=36 The video has poor resolution, but is interesting to me because shortly after the beginning of the takeoff run the pilot pulls the stick fully aft. 7.5 sec after the beginning of the takeoff run the nose wheel lifts; 3 sec later the aircraft lifts off. In the real flight manual the takeoff speed with full AB is given as 230-250 Km/h. An elementary calculation shows that in the video at nose wheel liftoff the speed is easily north of 150 Km/h, and that’s a very conservative estimation. An element clearly visible – during rotation the stick is quickly brought to a position close to neutral (stabilator close to neutral) then just 1.5 sec after nose wheel liftoff the “second stick pull” is clearly observed – meaning the speed has exceeded 200 Km/h, the axial air intakes have opened producing a nose-down pitch moment so a stick pull is necessary to maintain pitch angle. This strongly suggest a nose wheel liftoff speed in the 170-180 Km/h range. The fact that is a two seater doesn’t matter. The two seater has an empty weigth 85 Kg less than a 9-12 single seater, that’s completely negligible. In track “takeoff MiG-29-2” I try to recreate the takeoff from the video. The nose wheel lifts at a comical speed: 80Km/h. Then despite the small speed the aircraft has so much ”desire” to rotate that, to avoid scraping the nozzles on the runway I have to actually push the stick to not allow the pitch rate to increase too much. I even reach a FULL PUSH and I still overshoot slightly my target pitch angle of 10deg. From the beginning of the takeoff run until the nose wheel lifts there’s just 4 seconds … So here is the most direct comparison: at 123 Km/h I am almost at the end of rotation with stick FULLY PUSHED, while the real aircraft with full aft stick only lifts off nose wheel at more than 150 Km/h, and during rotation there is definitely no stick push observed … If you believe that in simulator that’s just a very specific weirdness that only manifests if the stick is pulled fully aft at takeoff, then you’re wrong. In track “takeoff MiG-29-1” at the beginning of the takeoff run I pull the stick just about 1/3 of its total travel. The nose wheel lifts at about 120 Km/h, still much slower than the speed at which the nose wheel lifts off in the real aircraft with stick fully aft! In conclusion, in simulator it is possible to lift the nose wheel at completely unrealistic speeds. takeoff MiG-29-2.trk takeoff MiG-29-1.trk
  11. Had this from time to time. I start a mission (self made only) and play it alone or with a friend without any issues (Track IR, 1 screen, powerfull intel firing a 3090 ti - 120 GB RAM ... so its not the pc). So wie flew the mission without any (ANY) problems. Not a single stutter or anything else. Turned off the pc, went to bed, work, came home, feeded the child, started the pc, connected with a friend, flew the mission. Not possible. Freezed like every 2-3 minutes (like he is buffering something like crazy). Screen stands still, but sound goes on, if midair even my motion rig tells me that the plane is goind in the wrong direction, on the second try i even crashed into a house and blew up, while my monitor was relaxing....). Nothing changed, nothing done...and i would bet money, that today everything is fine again untill next time.... Any ideas?
  12. Great post, I haven't noticed this, but will look out for it..
  13. https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/shop/modules/ns430_mig-29a/ Or do you mean that they should warn the users that it's not capable of using GPS?
  14. I understand you, IPD values are a separate discussion, I've been using 3D since the days of old monitors and the first versions of e-dimensional glasses... but I was just trying to report a detected model error here. I tested what affects the shift in VR and it is the IPD setting. The visor basically behaves like a helmet-mounted sight, where we have the option to choose which eye I want to see it on in the settings. This is not possible with the visor and it is set to the right eye by default. Anyone with VR can replicate. I was hoping that ED would take a look at this... No, I don't use any modifications... As a solution to the problem, I would see adding to the "special" tabs in the settings for the MiG-29A the same option as the helmet sight. Right eye, left, both...
  15. He gave you an answer. You just didn't like it
  16. While I acknowledge that tweaking something like this (realistic engagement success rates from AI) is probably very difficult to model (properly/realisticly) - I also think that is something DCS needs improvement on desperately. Not only are AI ground units way too accurate, they also lack an element of randomness/variety. You can almost predict, how long it will take until they will eventually take you out. (Maybe that would be a band-aid until a proper solution - adding a factor of random chance to every "aiming/intercept" calculation for AI)
  17. For a moment, I'm going to ignore the fact that you've ignored my repeated requests as to what manual was referenced in the development of this aircraft, and focus on this particular thing. It would have been appreciative to know in advance that the cost of this module, could include the cost of the NS430, of which I feel is a failure on ED's part as I was not aware I would be having to pay any additional money to try to make this aircraft relevant in modern environments. I feel this is a major shortfall in marketing and consumer transparency and should be placed in the description of the module itself so people can see that if they wan X they're going to have to pay for Y.
  18. Hi, please ensure you have both NS430 options enabled, the base version and the MiG-29A https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/shop/modules/ns430/ and https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/shop/modules/ns430_mig-29a/
  19. Can you share what you have done to get the Blk 50 working? DCS crashes when ever I try to spawn in to the cockpit of both the 50 and 52 but lets me spawn in to the F-16I just fine.
  20. DCS: F-14A Zone 5 Campaign by Reflected Simulations Startup sequence further bullet proofed DCS: F-14B Speed & Angels Campaign by Reflected Simulations Startup sequence further bullet proofed DCS: F-4E Red Flag 81-2 by Reflected Simulations Safety trigger added to compensate for the new AI takeoff spacing
  21. Hey I have the NS430 enabled for the MiG-29A but it's not appearing in game, why is that?
  22. Minor external view omission: No hand watch on pilot body in external view.
  23. .....but why can a MI-8 fire all its rockets without that effect ?! (while hovering) It takes only ONE small rocket to kill BOTH engines on the Hind. The intakes are in top - so how ? I see others like the Apache doing the same. is the effect on hinds engines "a little overdone " ?
  24. Today
  25. Minor pronunciation bug: In the startup/taxi/take off training mission (english version), in the INS synchro part where we need to press J and 9 at the same time, the instructor reads "J" as "G".
  26. Use Combined Joint Task Forces Red/Blue then: those factions have everything.
