What's the deal with missing crew for all the new ground units
twistking replied to twistking's topic in DCS Core Wish List
Better to have crew with stiff and wonky animations than having no crew at all. Even having no animations at all would beat the current ghost crew situation...- 20 replies

... Amuse-bouche. A little surprise for you. This isn't just a video—it's the result of painstaking work recreating architectural heritage, transforming the map from a collection of landscapes into a living, breathing world of history. France under your wing!

Hello, before my motherboard crashed, I had installed and fixed my Quest 3. Now, how do I put it back in place? Thanks for the help.

@Ironhand I fully agree with you! What ED has created with the MIG-29A Fulcrum is simply put amazing! The 3D laser scanned and photogrammetry cockpit is absolutely brilliant in VR, the sounds from the engines is bloody fantastic (best in DCS without any doubt), easily the most fun flight model (the MIG even beats the old king of the throne: Mirage-2000), a radar that is actually realistic, even the wheel tyres has deformation modeled, very good PC performence even on maps like Cold War Germany I could go on forever .

My concern after the Enigma video is that the dynamic campaign is going to be nowhere close to expectations. It has been in the works for half a decade. People like me have invested thousands into modules under the pretense that this is all going somewhere. If the dynamic campaign does not launch with industry leading leading AI, full logistics support, support for all maps, SP + MP, support for all modules and eras, many robust updates and fixed to multiplayer, good performance, slick interface... I mean, what I just said is the basic 101 requirements. My fear is that this is "unrealistic" and people are going to be disappointed vs BMS, a free mod for a very old game. It sounds like there is just not serious investment into the game side of this. "Development takes time" I am ok with, I understand this is a niche. But ED needs to be transparent here. The dynamic campaign has been in works for longer than most games, including games by small indie studios. I think an expectation that DCS is "close" to become a masterfully, fully fledged combat flight sim GAME exists and is reasonable. But... recent releases have been comically underwhelming. Comical, if it weren't so frustrating. The Mission save feature, seriously? I understand this is an old engine and will be more complicated to implement, but people have been asking for saved games for what, close to a decade? And what do we get, a half baked save state feature that can barely handle any complexity or cockpit states that feels more like a hack? We have been waiting years, and I can't just save the game in a Reflected campaign at will, with ease, no fuss? Or the Quick Action Generator, which can't even match the free briefing room? None of this is confidence inspiring as to what we are getting with dynamic campaign. If the enigma video is to believed, we are going to end up with a half baked dynamic campaign that wouldn't live up to 2 years of dev time let alone 6+ years. I agree that ED needs to hire a game manager and have a team that is solely dedicated to the development of DCS as a GAME, where the engineering team can operate independently and produce full fidelity modules for the ecosystem. The irony is the DCS side probably WOULD be more profitable if they actually did this, but there is a chicken-egg dynamic here. If the game side actually got the attention it deserved it would open up a lot more interest in module sales.

I configure my Virpil dual throttle as sliders and add a -10 curve to match physical detent with in-game AB detent, but with every restart DCS reverts to the old settings. Axis inversion remains though. This seems to be related to the same issue in the MiG-29

C-130J First Impressions by Growling Sidewinder
Someone replied to ThorBrasil's topic in DCS: C-130J
The range of taws in this screenshot is 80nm. So, there is definitely some yellow/red in front of him, but its very small and close to the plane. If the range was set to a smaller value, you'd see it much more clearly. -
Throttle settings not saved 29 only
Volator replied to Tshark's topic in Controller Questions and Bugs
I just found out that the F-5E (FF) is also affected by this... I configured my Virpil dual throttles as sliders in-game and added a -10 curve to make the physical detent match the in-game AB detend, but whenever I restart DCS, these settings are gone. -
Declassified Polish N019ЕА. I suggest to not spread misinformation about N019 using anything from Saphir and Ametist radars. N019 is built too differently overall, it's digital. There is sync, problem is finding how radar PRF to sync signal are related and with what timings.

cannot reproduce and missing track file F-15C Windshield is white
eekz replied to eekz's topic in F-15C for DCS World
It doesn't depend on other graphics settings aside of cockpit reflections. The visibility of this white texture depends on sunlight angle. The sun should be behind. -

I see. I do not own a leap motion device, nor do I know what changes would be required to deliver a good experience. However, I will: a) buy one, and b) investigate further.

Is RSBN car compatible with RETURN mode?
Raven (Elysian Angel) replied to Michael-Fr's topic in DCS: MiG-29A Fulcrum
Works perfectly on my end: I implemented it in one of my own missions yesterday. -
The CH-3 retained the water landing capabilities of the Sea King and, funnily enough, was more stable than the Sea King on the water due to the larger sponsons located further aft on the fuselage. I wouldn't say no to a CH-3E Jolly Green either, but I also don't expect ED to make one due to its relative obscurity and correspondingly perceived lower potential earnings from a CH-3 module.

Maybe there is some other modd maker that has created cold war assets, have you searched in: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/filter/type-is-skin/apply/

Недоработок к сожалению ещё много, а ЖЁЛТЫЙ цвет индикации вместо ЗЕЛЁНОГО на ИП52 ни кого не смущает?

Hi fighters Today we invite you on a virtual tour of the streets of Paris, which we had the pleasure of creating for DCS: Normandy 2.0. These pieces of living history will make your flights over the French capital truly unique. Moulin Rouge A legendary cabaret, a symbol of Parisian nightlife and cancan. A striking landmark in the Pigalle district. You've seen it in films, heard it in songs, and now you can stop by during breaks between flights. Or maybe it's your mission target – during the war, performances were held here for German officers. Palis Garnier (Grand Opera) One of the most famous opera houses in the world. Its gigantic stage and underground lake inspired Gaston Leroux's novel "The Phantom of the Opera." During the war, its cellars housed works of art from the Louvre. Palis Galliera A neo-Renaissance palace, today home to the Fashion Museum of the City of Paris. Pont de Bercy A bridge reminiscent of a Roman aqueduct, built in the late 19th century. An important transportation link in Paris. Passerelle Léopold-Sédar-Senghor. An elegant pedestrian bridge over the Seine, a favorite place for strolls. Originally called the "Solferino Bridge." Père-Lachaise Crematorium on the grounds of the famous cemetery of the same name. It was the first crematorium built in France (1889). Its chimney, stylized as a bell tower, was a unique architectural feature. Stade olympique Yves-du-Manoir (also known as Colombes) is a rugby, track, and association football stadium in Colombes, near Paris. From the 1930s to the 1970s, it was one of the main stadiums in France.

Is RSBN car compatible with RETURN mode?
Michael-Fr replied to Michael-Fr's topic in DCS: MiG-29A Fulcrum
Indeed, but I am trying to apply this to airfields that do not have them, by implementing the beacon tutorial : -
I think what he meant was that with the stabilator roll function disabled at high AoA with LEFs extended, all that’s left for roll with the stick is +/- 5 degrees of aileron. Which, like he mentioned, gives you practically zero roll at high AoA. You need to manually use rudder at that point to get some roll And I agree with OP, it seems that the aileron rudder interconnect is either not modeled or modeled incorrectly. If you go into external view, you can see the rudder automatically move at high AoA, but you need to zoom way in because it’s extremely difficult to notice. It looks like they move 1-2 degrees max. And they move against the direction of the stick, not with the direction of the stick like you would think they would to help roll the aircraft

NS430 doesn't exist IRL, what we have in DCS is a copy of Garmin 430. It's used in many civilian different aircraft, but it might not take the brunt of a fighter jet.

Second this notion the BF-109 K4 is a challenging and gratifying plane to master and needs some work especially something I read somewhere on some DCS URL about landing gear bounce realism/physics improvements?
