  1. Past hour
  2. AFAIK you cannot create different folders with different music, but you could write a little batch file or something to swap out the music for whatever you want. The location is: \Program Files\DCS World OpenBeta\Mods\aircraft\F14\Sounds\Walkman (obviously, your install path may be slightly different, but it's not in the savedgames area). As long as your replacement songs have the same names and format, it will play them, but you will have to replace them again on every update. I keep mine in a separate folder, and every time there's an update, I run a batch file that resets various customizations including the songs. After pointing it to the directory I store my music in, the command I use is: copy song*.ogg "C:\Program Files\DCS World OpenBeta\Mods\aircraft\F14\Sounds\Walkman\" >nul
  3. If the plane has no power, you need to open the canopy, so the ground crew that does the work, can hear you.
  4. I've been writing for a while that a DCS launcher should have a simple thing – a file manager. Something like ORBX invented a long time ago, but not only that, like Steam, GOG etc. You simply specify the path where you want your installation. For example, DCS is on drive C, terrain on drive D, and modules on drive E. I personally have a dedicated drive for DCS that's 4Tb, but many of my friends have stopped buying new maps because they don't have the space on their drives and don't want to delete old maps to install new ones. Furthermore, each patch actually means more space. DCS is hungry and uses up space quickly. I think 2TB is currently too little and will probably last for about a year and a half, but it's also not good to have a drive that's completely full, especially with an NvMe system, with a maximum of 80%.
  5. New result: with low blower I've reched 344 KTS
  6. Mine is doing the same thing! I even removed mods from Saved Games and dropped them back in one by one. All worked until I dropped the Super Hornet into Saved Games. Now freezes at ng.5.
  7. Just purchased the F14 I followed some videos on the quick start where they connect ground and air from the menu, I did that and Jester responds "Connecting Ground Power" but he never comes back and say "All set" no response from Jester, so the ground power remains off. Not sure what I did wrong.
  8. Version 2.0 of this Mod has been released:
  9. New test result: 335 KTS TAS at 20 000 ft. Weather: 15°C QNH 29.92 75% fuel, no ammo 54" MP 2700 RPM High blow It is very important to properly manage the engine cowl flaps which makes really huge drag.
  10. All the basic stuff was checked. It's not that it's not turned on or not installed.
  11. Mind you, aircraft external models and textures will always be downloaded whether you own these modules or not, because they have to be usable on your computer as AI units, or other players' units in MP. But it's the terrain modules that have always had the biggest disc footprint in DCS.
  12. Just something I noticed after the last update
  13. I hope some manager from ED could update that statement about 3rd party files shared with ED so future customers should make better informed decisions when buying things at ED store.
  14. It was one thing when it was VEAO's Hawk, but now it's 4 aircraft and their solution (at the present) is keep a legacy version installed. I cannot underline how absurd that is when we're looking at 200+ gig installs. This is an absolutely untenable position for ED to give us. Granted, there's a lot that can change in this timeframe since we're talking quite a bit of time in the future, but it's still there. ED will have to bite the bullet, some how, if it wants to maintain positive customer will. It needs to also reconsider how it on boards third parties. This requirement to make game files available seems awfully wishy-washy. Is that the case for ALL third parties or was Razbam afforded special treatment because of how long they've been here? Quite a few uncomfortable questions need to be answered.
  15. I saw a post in the Corsair forum that some were getting a CTD when trapping on the Essex carrier. I went into a MP server and trapped on an Essex carrier with the F4U. Result - CTD. I then went into a MP seer that had F18s and trapped on a supercarrier. Result - CTD. In both servers I did not use the Comms menu.
  16. NineLine говорит, что соглашение пока не подписано. И что в том случае, когда в 3.0 модули Razbam отвалятся, версия 2.9 будет официально доступна для игроков. Посмотрим, может, получат код всё же. Пока официального подтверждения о подписании нет.
  17. My answer is the same for pretty much all modules, the mission editor. The ME isn't that difficult to use in my opinion but it does take some time to learn. ME missions also don't have to be predictable even if you're the one who made them. There are many ways to add elements of surprise or random events into missions. There are also a few automated mission creation tools outside of DCS if you really don't want to use the ME. Briefing Room being one example. I have never used these tools though so I'm not familiar with them.
  18. In MP CTD now happens whenever comms is not employed when landing on a carrier. Just tried the Corsair on DCSNZA MP server and the F18 on another MP server. Both time my system CTD when I trapped. Suspect it is a ED issue not one limited to F4U.
  19. I am pretty sure that gear was up.... I will try again
  20. Witchcraft! Burn him on the stake! Fast Forward until the very end and then take it out and flip it!
  21. Удаляйте тему, продано.
  22. Geez...crazy town!! I have no faith mine (Super 57PPD) will come this summer...I'm thinking fall.
  23. Эх, конечно, я бы предпочёл что бы Ф-15Е к ЕД отошёл. Но нет фарта, судя по всему.
  24. If the INS goes to IFA RDR when the knob is placed in IFA, there is no GPS available (or line of sight to the satellites is blocked), and the aircraft is attempting to perform an in-flight alignment.
  25. Make sure that 1) you have the JHMCS equipped and not the NVG. You can only take either or. 2) You have not pressed and held DMS down. This toggles the JHMCS on/off.
