  2. I have the same question. ED, can you provide feedback on this?
  3. I also noticed this with Litening previously but I didn't report it as I thought with Sniper they would revise and test everything anyway so that should be corrected. It's a strange topic, compare Wags video Part 1 and 2 for ATP. In the first one , the cooridantes are going crazy but in the second one they are very steady.
  4. I'm curious if the newer (encrypted) sound engine can allow for sound changes based on oil/intercooler flap positions. The older system (pre-encryption) didn't allow for much finesse with tuning sound variables.
  5. Yeah I tested the both pod too. And the Litening is far superior then the Sniper ATP. Thats unrealistic of course but thats how it is at the moment. Especially when slewing the pod the Litning has always the super sharp and clear view even with most digital zoom. Dont get me wrong: I like the implementation of the sniper very much, the reality isnt that easy and I like how it is modeled - as real as it gets! But Im afraid that nobody will take the Sniper ATP as long as the Litning is that unrealisticly modeled and that far superior. The Litning Pod needs to be refined in my opinon!
  6. Done. This feature was a long asked question from the community. Mod makers are licking their fingers after it. But it comes with a cost. It opens up options that can be critical for the users of DCS World, so ED had to do something. Sure, there are better ways of doing it. But the enhanced security was indeed needed. It is 2 lines you add to your autoexec.cfg, so I am pretty sure one can survive that. And no, I am not going into detail what potential this call has, for reasons.
  7. The most complicated part will be switching between Radar and IRST lock. It’s pretty complex all the different ways it can be done.
  8. I remember how at some point ED implemented the TGP needing a full restart (manually chin station power off/on) after rearming on ground (since its counted as a new TGP). Now the AAQ-33 isn't affected by this. Landing with a working ATP and then rearming doesn't affect the AAQ-33 at all. It simply continues to operate just fine. I have no idea if this is intended to work differently for the ATP now (well thanks if it is, so we don't have to endure the ATP's 12 minutes initialization after each rearming) but in case ED has simply forgotten to apply the same logic as with the AAQ-28, I just wanted to give notice
  9. I bought a 5090, but sold my 4090 for a lot of money, after almost 3 years of use. The performance increase in VR is definitely noticeable, worth the upgrade.
  10. Designates the fitting of a BMW801S series engine. That designation was done away with as it was just decided to replate the aircraft as an FW-190A9. Yes, it could come with GM-1 but that has NOTHING to do with its use in the BMW801D2. The BMW801Q series would have GM-1 fittings and was approved to use it. May 1944:

  12. In my humble opinion, I think removing the fluttering effect on both the wings and the antenna mast altogether and using the whistle effect starting at 300 kts (and only when the oil/intercooler flaps aren't fully closed) instead of 200 kts would really go a long way in increasing the fidelity. I thank you for your consideration - I really do love this module and want to see it be the best it can be. Thanks a bunch, GT. I really do try to support what I say and really do want to see this awesome module be all it can be.
  13. I have to ask... How much of this is normal in aviation and how much is unique to DCS and/or its F-15C due to the simplified avionics?
  14. Where exactly does this mod get installed, the read me contains no directions as to where to install the mod.......
  15. I'm liking the new dampers, they were fiddly to install but I like the feel of them with the medium springs and aero blades. One nice surprise is I didn't have to remap buttons for all my modules which I was not looking forward to, I don't use TARGET and in DCS I was able to just load my saved warthog stick profiles for each module into the new Ava device and the warthog button mappings loaded right in.
  16. Certainly not. IIRC the timeline for delivery from the factory fully equipped was July 1944. Did it take six months to produce a couple of hundred sets of tubing and a pull cable? Probably not. As for the GM-1 kits, those are much more complicated however they had far fewer to make. GM-1 is pretty complicated stuff to use. It pretty much requires filling the tank and in using it in a very short period of time. It does not sit and leaks out. You can see that being tested in several of the flight test report where they note the aircraft was allowed to sit untouched for the engineers allotted time to test the system loss. Is more than just a tank.

  18. Okay, how do you download this thing, I got a receipt in my email, hit the Massun92 thing and it takes me back to the original post wanting me to buy it again. Talk about the run around....
  19. Dropped LGBs don't track moving targets in point track. Impact is around the area the target has been put into point track. Not sure the laser is active at all. I did see this issue with auto lase and manual lase. Stationary targets in area track/INR have no issues when attacked with laser guidance. Even manually slewing of the laser spot across the ground is changing bomb trajectory as expected. Issues only arise in point track. Trackfile shows GBU-12 attack on moving tank. Tank is getting point tracked. Laser is auto-lasing 15 seconds before impact. GBU-12 doesn't show any sign of steering attempts. A-G is on CMBT. TGP code and bomb code are default 1688. 20. The the highlighted portion of the document is talking about GM-1 at 80gr/sec instead of 150gr/sec? Cutting your consumption rate in half would be worth it if the performance holds. You are confusing details with the big picture. GM-1 was not widespread in its use. It was approved and it was used. It was approved at the time the document briefly covering the increased performance available at that time was released. Rechiln is the RLM's approval authority for all technical aircraft changes. That is why the KTB entry is so important. It is the equivalent of the FAA's Master Airworthiness List: https://drs.faa.gov/browse/ADFRAWD/doctypeDetails
  21. Yeah, I totally agree with the statement that Lightning is much superior to the new Sniper pod, I compared it and even with XR I can't have a clear and close image like with Lightning Narrow/9x. I think it needs more refinement and that in the future it will be what it claims to be state of the art
  22. Very nice changes! It's nice that we have it explained so thoroughly, it's good practice for the future .
  23. I'm not sure why some are having problems with the Corsair turning during taxi.... If I'm not careful I do donuts turning onto the runway. I usually have to lock the tail wheel to taxi straight, other wise I'm all over the place. I had problems with the weapons selection screen not being able to right click and choose my ordnance. I reinstalled and that fixed my problem. I'm not saying this will fix anyone elses problem, but it's something to look at. I have to admit I'm a bit disappointed that the Fuel tank selector rotary along with the magnetos was not fully implemented with GUI rotary movements instead of the + or -, And the rudder trim needs toned down as well, small movements on my trim box is like kicking the rudder pedal hard. But it flies much better now with some of the drag problems fixed, it would get so slow it just wallowed in the air with ordnance slung on it, formation flying was out of the question. Looking forward to when it's as much fun to fly as the Jug is now.

  26. The LITENING TGP we have right now has unrealistically good lossless digital zoom which it should not have. The ATP implementation, however, does have the digital zoom limitations. Otherwise, I feel like the ATP is pretty easy to use, but the HOTAS commands are not the exact same as the LITENING's and I would suggest reading the manual chapter on the ATP to become fully acquainted with the system and how it works.
