  1. Past hour
  2. Rafale sounds very interesting. I'm curious to see how it develops in DCS.
  3. Hi, sagt mal kann es sein das Rakuzard nun (auch) als SchleckiLP in youtube unterwegs ist? Habe eben ein Video angesehen & stimmlich würde ich behaupten das er es ist...
  4. There is engine relight switch, but not yet implemented. It is for emergencies anyways as engines should re start on their own if all things work properly.
  5. https://air-cosmos.com/article/avions-de-combat-rafale-en-serbie-les-details-d-un-contrat-geostrategique-69261?fbclid=IwY2xjawFAWQFleHRuA2FlbQIxMQABHRrjQaZAJBr4R4j32N_H2Kxy6GMMHCOPCkXf6Tzjyv5rQvbzX6nmVYEdeg_aem_RYJMnGfMi5Dlj4_QJA5Z5A Elbit supposedly is developing a plug in to allow R27ER and R77 usage on the Rafale.
  6. Unfortunately, afaik yes, no radio feature implemented. False marketing - that's why I've never bought it. It'd give a functional western radio for FC or redfor aircraft.
  7. Hello, this video details every single spec about the radar and IRST air to air modes. You’ll learn all there is to know, scan times lock times, which mode is better at what, which vertical scan covers more space, notch speeds getting rid of notch speeds and other filters, coverage of each mode, many tips and other little related things. What isn’t implemented but will be. Everything! I apologize for all the numbers, I just hope it helps some people out there! Next is COOP mode once it is more complete!
  8. Yes, I just released a video on all the sensor mode specs if you are interested. Zone select switch on top left panel, but for IRST it already slews the entire azimuth in center, so left/right only makes it scan that half of the original scan zone. I can get F-14/15 from 15-30 km, F-18 less, F-16 no more then 18 km or so. In Mil power atleast.
  9. As far as I’m aware they kept the (v)1 as the planned (v)10 upgrade never happened. I can’t rule out that with the usaf jets getting apg-83 that spare (v)5 aren’t being given to older jets (Greece is doing something similar with its old v(9))
  10. I’m not saying it’s a good thing. I’m saying that MiG-29 is chock full of inexplicable design decisions and things that don’t make sense. Apparently an RWR that didn’t work well with radar atleast a lot of the time? Same RWR only shows a notch within WVR ranges? An IRST vertical scan that only goes 16 degrees up when it could have gone 30 degrees up despite being the fastest scanning mode? Coop mode forces MPRF/pursuit mode for some reason locking IRST out from picking up any HPRF/head on mode lock? Oh, it’s fine that you don’t have enough down elevator to counter the pitch up at low altitude and heavy payload at high speed. Yeah, let’s make LEF only have two positions so you have a stark transition between up and down? Yeah, let’s use a complex bifurcated louvered intake that reduces fuel space instead of the intake grids Sukhoi was using at the same time? Yeah. Let’s make them put radar to EKV/dummy to use COOP only in IRST modes, even though the system is already fully capable of turning radar on and off in ILLUM. Yeah, let’s have the radar scan a 50 x 11 degree area when range finding instead of just the target location. Even though it already only return range when looking at target. We used InSb sensitive IRST crystals in MiG-23, lets use worse PbSe crystals for the IRST this time! You know what, let’s put some of the symbology including the entire right HUD border only on the HDD! And we won’t have it show target location within 8 km like MiG-23! It won’t show target location at all unless in gun mode! Let’s basically do nothing but digitize MiG-23 HUD why add anything new! No target speed or altitude even though the plane knows it! Yeah autopilot could fly plane under Lazur guidance for MiG-23, let’s remove it for MiG-29! Well even use smaller flares then MiG-23! Make HUD show IFF in coop when radar is leading? Nope, only in Radar mode! it is so full of “they could’ve easily made that so much better!” And “why the hell did they do that?” And “Jesus why did they make it this way?” Design decisions, that it not being to lock a target in gun mode hardly passes as a blip on my common sense radar so to speak. Im sure they were like “a smart pilot will enable coop so both sensors lock, and it will stay locked” and went about their day.
  11. Hello, Do you know the procedure for restarting an engine after a power loss in flight? Sincerely, Michael
  12. Me and the boys made a video tonight. It was good hunting today.
  13. Correct. Like before 2020 it was definitely a recommended practice for those reasons if you dig a little around here in the forum.
  14. Thanks for your reply! Yes, that mission is a part of the Gamblers campaign by Baltic Dragon, and that's the only place I can reproduce this awkward behaviour atm. That's why you can't view it, I guess (didn't know track files from DLC campaigns required activation ). And yes, I agree, it's acts as if I'm too excited with the RDR cursor. I'll try what you just told me and check the keybinds.
  15. This has nothing to do with this topic. This isn't about having difficulty locking a target - it's about the inability to lock a target up when the gun safety is off (held or toggled). It's self-evident. If anyone can explain why it is actually a good thing for the Mig-29 pilot, during guns combat, to have to constantly flip the safety catch back & forth just to re-lock a target, I'll listen.
  16. The link comes up as expired or wrong.
  17. Not sure what those sources are, may be from years ago, but definitely do not run as admin. It can cause issues reading/writing files, and is frequently the cause of mass stuttering and pauses when used with Winwing MFDs. Yeah I think years ago it was spread that this was the way to run DCS as it gave higher priority / power management to the game thread and helped with performance. Don’t know if that was just bs but it isn’t needed and shouldn’t be done now.
  18. Thank you all for your opinion. I will hope that the situation will improve and the manufacturer will fix everything. For now I will uninstall this beautiful plane..
  19. Indeed, I like Gvad's videos but his latest one about MiG-29 smelled very off to me
  20. I figured out one problem it was a conflicted mod. I fixed that but man without that repo available things that should be straight forward even your own documentation crash or cause all sorts of bugs when trying to implement something as trivial as speed call outs. Constant stack traces disables functionality. It shouldn't be this difficult for jester to repeat a value from a gauge or source like IAS. I do want to thank you for you help in walking me through the possible issues at least we got mods loading! That's progress.
  21. Wooooo ... impressive! So far, i haven't been able to try it ( the cobra ), but I like how docile it is and how it manouvres ... Eh, I'm still trying ... so far nothing, even plying with the gain ... But I'll keep trying. the left right is not on the hotas though, right ? Is the little switch in the top left panel right ?
  23. Great video, glad someone put Gvad’s claims to the test!
  24. Today
  25. No: the radar losing lock (too) easily is discussed here:
