I agree it's not great and needs to be changed. If you want something that works for the time being, you can edit the texture file in C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\Mods\aircraft\CH-47F\Cockpit\IndicationTextures\Indication-MFD-CH-47F-2.tga (free Paint.net works if you don't have anything else). Delete the offending boxes (most in the upper right corner). Example file below if you want to try It's not pretty but its readable in VR. The clutter doesn't bother me enough but happy to help if you want to mod it. Indication-MFD-CH-47F-2.tga

@sirrah, I found a similar solution. I made my own animated image by using several PNG frames from a video. I used about 100 frames. Set each frame to start 0.1 sec (60 frames/sec) and presto. This facility is crude but adequate... It works but it bloats the MIZ file. I believe an animated GIF or PNG file would be a more civilized approach.

Since DCS does not simulate bad maintenance or equipment issues, I guess this should not be a problem in DCS.

No? It is clear from talking to many people that radar overspill onto the RWR was not “normal” but an issue. And DCS does not simulate bad maintenance or equipment issues. And if F-14/15/18 firing sparrow is truly indistinguishable, it is quite a difference that Western RWR can magically detect it. After all, can they detect pseudo faked CW waveform of N-019?

Nice stuff man ! It really pays off to go high and fast at launch, the missile retains a lot of energy ! Yes, i only seem to get that in a boresight shot. One could get lucky and get a target in front of the missile, but it's an unlikely situation. At any rate, here is my follow-up video:

The only time the HSI will follow the A/C for me is if I keep repeatedly pressing the EGI1 button on the CDU, and even then it only "catches" up the that location of the button press, it doesn't follow the A/C. Makes navigating tough. It only spins if I change heading. Sometimes it will jump back to the original startup airfield if I fly too far away. My game is crashing, but still working at background can click switches etc. When I close the crash window, the game closes. I had no problems yesterday on the same server and with the same jet(phantom). dcs.log-20250908-132003.zip

@Dangerzone the line about Hot Plug are not necessary anymore. It works perfect with the buttons in the system tab. You can enable or disable Hot Plug in the game on the fly. With the lines in the autoexec.cfg you are unable to use those buttons, which could cause problems, because most people are unable to remember what they have written in the autoexec.cfg after a few weeks. Or is there a reason to make it the autoexec way? -

All is based on either manual or some other RL info but sounds to me like this RWR is too "nerfed" for the OP. I suggest to wait and test before judging.

Thanks! And this pretty much sums up my experience too. Except that I don't use motion platform and really haven't had any tracking issues. And the extra headstrap solution - I gave up mounting it. Too difficult for my fingers. And also during mounting, before I gave up, I found out what you experienced too, that it's too close to/or would touch - the face gasket. I understand that you have found a solution, but my fingers and my patience can't take it... What were Pimax thinking while making this solution? I also have followed Tallymouse's video, except for that I didn't care to make DCS launchable from the Pimax Play Menus. I just use the DCS launcher. Also, I never made the even higher resolution shadows thingie that Tallymouse did. I use 72hz too. 90hz is too much, I'd rather have a few more details and some headroom and have everything buttery smooth without any stuttering. I believe that you not only have to re-install Tallymouse Quadviews companion app after Pimax update, but also Mbucchias Quadviews solution? The Mura effect, I agree with you on this too. Because while flying and looking outside out on the sky (where it would be visible) I have to de-focus my eyes to make it appear. And therefore, for me, it is not a problem. I accept that some might have gotten headsets with more mura than mine, but if anyone is complaining about a mura effect that only is visible when you focus on something else than what you are actually looking at - then I don't get it. One would simply be making issues just to make issues. No headset is perfect, but the Crystal Super is as close as it can get for me now. Fantastic clarity and colors. Very good FOV. Good head tracking. I am waiting for some equipment for my F-16 "cockpit" these days, so until I get that in the mail, I am trying the the Super in other games (which is something I have not done before!). Now it is Skyrim VR with some graphic and user interface mods too. And it is fantastic! And coming from an OG Crystal I think it so nice to spend hours and hours in a game without worrying about the batteries.

Great... After Necksafer worked initially, I now had problems (not needing Necksafer so desperately anymore after a wider FOV). I will try deactivating Eye Tracking in DCS to see if it resolves the current problem.

Converting from DX11 to Vulkan is a huge amount of work. I'm waiting for it from the first newsletter in 2017. In my opinion, with a good implementation of Vulkan, we could say goodbye to the stutters. I very hope to see it before Christmas 25
