Thanks for posting your settings. If this really solve the problem, then that's good. I have tried today to get rid of the veil/square - whatever we can call it today. I noticed one thing, sharpening seemed to make it worse. So, I turned off sharpening in DCS settings, and that helped quite a bit. Now I almost have to look for it. I still have sharpening i Tallymouse quadview tool - without it the picture quality takes a hit. Not in the cockpit as much but outside when looking at the landscape. I see you also have Anisotrophic filtering at x4. I have at 16. Maybe that's makes a difference? Anyway, here are my settings that makes the problem less visible.

Good day to all. I don't know if this is the right place to write about the problem I encountered. While playing the campaign F-16C Last Out: Weasels over Syria II I noticed that the FPS doesn't go above 30-40 frames, and the video card load doesn't exceed 20-30%, the processor 50%. And in one of the missions (9) while approaching the coast of Israel, the FPS starts to drop. At waypoint 6 over Israel in flight, during descent, the FPS drops to 12-18 frames, on the monitor it looks like a slideshow, and the video card load is 2-15%, the processor 50%, in general, flying near the ground becomes impossible. But as soon as you pause the mission, the picture becomes soft and smooth, the FPS rises to 200 frames, the load on the video card (GTX 1070) is 80%, on the processor 60-70. It is not clear why this happens, it is a bug in the mission file, or the Syria map, or the DCS in general. If anyone has encountered this and knows a solution, please help. Почему так происходит, не понятно, это баг файла миссии, или карты Сирии, или в целом ДЦС. Если кто то сталкивался с этим и знает решение, прошу помочь.

Sure the LITENING has overall better video quality, primarily because it lacks digital zoom modelling. However Multi-Track on the ATP is pretty useful in A2G missions. Personally the digital zoom modelling hasn't affected me much in how i operate A2G missions because of the XR processing. But many people do dislike how you can't just constantly slew the ATP around and have crystal clear imagery, which i understand.

I'd rather have a MiG-19S, seeing as it's probably not coming from RAZBAM. Many systems are similar between the -17 and the -19.

I was about to open a thread for this very same question. ATM the ATGP/Sniper is far less capable/useful than the good old franken-Litening: Image quality is so bad that is quite difficult to find targets (and the ATGP is supposed to help you find targets). Still have to undertand what is the logic behind having picture-in-picture mode with TV over CCD instead of the opposite, which to me seems to be much more useful. I had great expectations on the ATGP but looks like it is a downgrade respect to the Litening...

How does XRFrametools record your latency data? I only see frametime for GPU and CPU, but this isn't latency. Latency is the time how long the already finished rendered frame takes to reach your display panel. The stuff that is shown in VD's frame info display. XRFrametools would need to have an app running on your HMD to measure that data. -
I would double-check the install and setup as I downloaded the beta, and the Corsair gives long, sustained feedback on wing fold and flap movement for me. How do the sound module test tones feel? Also probably worth testing on a more mature module of any type. UShake6 should *not* be giving off tame vibrations unless we manually tame it or something’s wrong.

Сейчас попробовал ещё раз пройти 9 миссию. И снова ни чего не получилось. В начале всё было хорошо, на авиабазе 40 ФПС, загрузка видеокарты 20-30%, загрузка процессора 50%, и так до момента подлёта к точке 6. При подлёте к побережью ФПС начинает падать, в точке 6 падает до 12-18 кадров, но на экране слайдшоу, загрузка видеокарты при этом 2-15%, процессор 50%, в общем у земли полёт становится невозможным. Но как только ставишь на паузу, картинка становится мягкой и плавной, ФПС вырастает до 200 кадров, нагрузка на видеокарту (ГТХ 1070) 80%, на процессор 60-70. В общем я не знаю и не могу понять в чём проблема. Очень жаль, но пока видимо придётся отложить прохождение это замечательной компании. Напишу про этот баг в теме карты Сирии. This was my favourite "tourist" aircraft before the OV-10A arrived. One noob question: I am still learning carrier landing, on and off for some time, my only concern is, since the Goshawk does not have full radio, how would I do a CASE 1 super carrier landing? -
Early in the war, not only did the Japanese have seriously good pilots, but the Zero handily outperformed the US fighters in a dogfight. The almighty US Navy Aviation turned out to be quite beatable after all. What the Japanese failed at was planning for the long haul. They failed to significantly improve the Zero and to ensure a supply of trained pilots. Of course, the US was always going to simply outlast Japan, simply as a matter of size, but their lack of innovation (mostly thanks to believing they were inherently so superior they didn't need to) made it much worse.

Ah you should have just asked We do exactly that I took 14 thousand or so F10 screenshots (with a bit of overlap for the top bar and map/topology options top right ) using python mss and a socket to lua export to use LoSetCameraPosition to move out position to get consistency Then stitched them all together into 5k grids (since the full image is 292,400 by 167,810 pixels and deffo don't have ram for that Then another python script to quantize that into 20m or so sectors and just did rgb comparison if tree + forest background Multi threaded that into a byte array for parallelization After that did multiple fill/infill passes to capture where a sector was surrounded by forest on day 2 or 3 blocks around it took was upgraded to forest and similar for deselecting Then another pass for edge detection on all the areas so we could distinguish between forest, deep forest and road or so Since the data I care about fits in 2 bits (nothing, forest, deep forest), I packed the results into a simple byteareay with 4 sectors per byte to save a ton of space After that it's just a conversion DCS xz to array offset and read the required bits That allows us to also visualize the output for validation A very low resolution version for visualisation https://strategic-dcs.com/storage/caucasus_overlay.jpg -

Having seen your video and picked up on your enthusiasm for the T-45 I’ve downloaded, installed, configured it with my fav Red Arrows livery and had a go! As you suggest, it seems to be a great two seat trainer with carrier capabilities. So far… my only disappointment is that there is NO ability to generate COLOURED SMOKE for formation flying??? Hopefully to be added to the upcoming V1.2 ????

Ciao FalcoBlu, piccola precisazione, come detto ho letto molto velocemente la tua prima risposta e quindi avevo percepito forse un po’ di “malumore” per non aver avuto risposte ma come detto forse mi stavo sbagliando, anche perché rientrato non ho trovato più quel post ma quello che era comunque indubbiamente criptico. Non sono entrato, e non entro, in queste questioni con il tuo “simpatico signore”. Tra parentesi avevo attenzionato il tuo post di richiesta perché ero quasi intenzionato a venderti il mio ottimo collettivo di WinWing dato che stavo chiudendo per una replica dell’Apache ma che purtroppo non è andata come speravo e fortunatamente mi sono tenuto stretto quello di WinWing.

Ah, got you now. I was just thinking aloud, I'm not sure the Aussie guys would share the work done, and then Specter may not be interested. BUT If such thing ever happens, I think I would even kick start it in order to see it in DCS.
