We can agree on that. But this was from W10 to W11, so I can understand why. Hopefully they have backups. Sent from my SM-A536B using Tapatalk

I think its a great campaign, but having to buy it bothers me quite a bit when I see golf courses and beach front resorts and modern day vehicles and Humvees. Really ruins it for me. If it were a free campaign then who cares. But for my very hard earned money, I expect quite a bit more effort. Just lazy work.

Except making a FC3 version of an aircraft from scratch is 80% the work of making a full fidelity model. So there's very little time to gained by that. ED spend years upgrading a handful of AI 3d models. Just saying "make an FC model" is no solution at all.

Hoping that Biggin Hill at least gets a windsock at last. Not too much to wish for. -
Ну активная пауза ИМХО это чит почти уровня God Mode. У нас же симулятор. Простая то пауза, понятно, у всех есть дела, всем надо бывает запаузить игру.

Hi, Although these are not the only missiles suffering from the too high drag at low AoA syndrome which is quite common among DCS missiles, I've made a short track regarding the SEAD missiles KH-58 and KH-25. Although the KH-25 by some miracle glides at a very low speed towards the target, although unrealistically slow and manages to hit it doesn't mean that "IT'S OK, IT REACHED IT'S TARGET". Being far from having a closer to realistic drag vs AoA tables doesn't just cut a lot from the missile's real possible flight max range (if unlimited by passive radar signal strength), but also looks odd to see how it decelerates like it has some small parachute behind. The same goes with the KH-58 which actually falls short of the target due to exaggerated low AoA drag almost 10kms away from the target after being fired with LAUNCH AUTHORIZED confirmed and also that LA range is much shorter than it should normally be. I know that the aerodynamics problems subjects are a piss-off for some, but there are some passionate guys strictly on that subject and they can tell when something is quite off and truly put some passion into it. I hope the devs will find a day to try reducing the drag coefficients vs AoA on most missiles (the differences between a missile and another are not so great as most people who don't know might think) to levels seen on AIM-120s and IRIS-Ts would already be a great step towards more realistic drag vs AoA even if the particular numbers are not found. Simply by putting the same tables on the other missiles already brings them closer to realism, the max speed, range and deceleration mostly depending on engine/motor burn data and fins area, which are more accurate to get than an exact drag coef. KH-58 and KH-25MPU (not the only ones though) have too much drag at low AOA.trk

I would rather wait nicely if they need to take their time to make a solid release with a playable and enjoyable module. However as I also mentioned in anothe post I would highly appreciate if they could made an early release of the manual so we have time to start reading and get familiar with such systems and operational methodology This aircraft have some systems and operating methodology that would require us to read the manual in detail to understand its operation. So I would rather wait while reading the manual awaiting the the module gets ready for release.

yes, sadly you are probably right … Windows is so bad, that many users believe the best way to solve issues is reinstalling the thing rather than looking for the root cause

investigating Grafic Bug when in Hangar at dawn
YoYo replied to Eisprinzessin's topic in Bugs and Problems
Good catch! Looks like a bug but for scenery developer (the best way is to check the few others module from inside here). I have start MiGs from the hangar many times and it was always ok. -
I never noticed this, maybe mods conflict? I see this picture is from Grim reapers video, give the link and which seconds? Btw. They used a lot of mods.

I guess I need correct my word R-530IR and Magic 1 don't use "normal glasses window", but Lead Germanate Lead Germanate is worse than Magnesium fluoride(used on Sidewinders, Falcons, late Magic1 and Magic 2) and Single crystal alumina/sapphire on Israeli Python 3 but fine, Lead Germanate can do side-aspect attack both R-530IR and Magic 1 use coooled InSb seeker not cooled PbS however Matra introduced a single-cell Detector on Magic 1, to improve resolution(but reduce useable aspect), so Magic 1 become an rear-aspect InSb missile Part of the reason why the R550 missile performed poorly in air combat was also due to the primitive InSb seeker InSb cannot handle infrared waves below 2 microns The infrared wavelength near the afterburner is often around 1.5 microns The seeker cannot bring the missile closer to the enemy aircraft The French also do not have a continuous rod warhead that time missile will explode too early

The patch is being delayed, but maybe it's not about the C-130 at all, but rather changes to the MiG-29, I suspect, and it's probably also due to the beta ED team's limited time testing the C-130. I was hoping the patch would arrive this week, which it didnt. There are still 10 days left so fingers crossed.

Hi, I've been playing around a bit against radar SAMs and what I found after the latest updates is that if you add an advanced waypoint action to these SAM groups to AVOID SEAD missiles by setting "Evasion of ARM = ON" and the RADAR SAM that is targeted by a SEAD missile turns off, the SEAD missile goes haywire towards the sky or starts going ballistic into the ground, instead of trying to hit the ground within a given precision near the last known location/coordinates of that targeted radar. Doesn't "IN & PAS RDR" attributes of a SEAD missile mean that it can track a radar either passively (normal mode) or by inertial navigation which basically means calculating the last known coordinates of the target? Or what does IN mean then? I searched a bit regarding the AGM-88 HARM and indeed the newer models also have a GPS correction (for better last coordinates accuracy), but the inertial guidance doesn't do the same thing with somewhat reduced coordinates precision? Also, the targeted radars that turn off to evade ARM are never turning back on. They get so scared? The only radar that turns back on to search is the one which moves/relocates to another position after it turns off and from where it stops it turns back on, like for example the Roland EWR that I've tested before this track. Maybe there is a bug which requires the radar to mandatory switch position before turning back on and if it doesn't change position, it will forever remain OFF or there's a bug by which mobile radars don't start moving to a new position and thus it never turns back on. I've attached a track. Thanks! SEAD missiles IN (inertial) mode not simulated and AI SAM radars that turn off and not move afterwards, won't turn back on.trk

Airfield and air traffic
Raven (Elysian Angel) replied to rokomah's topic in Static/AI Mods for DCS World
Personal preference: I find many F-16 IA missions to be particularly suited for training with various modules, if you swap out the F-16 with something else. For example: there is a “defensive systems” IA mission in NTTR where you can activate various air defence units via F10 commands, so I found it to be quite useful to fly that as a MiG-29 so you can learn how the SPO-15 reacts to being engaged by particular SAMs. -

I really would like to get manouvring kills being awarded. When an an opponent looses control and crashes in a dogfight that should count as well as a kill. It’s quite frustrating when he flies into the ground while heavy manouvring and you are just left without any credits.

What a campaign,man....

Overall got 16 Kills in the eagle -
nullJust Finished The Georgian War, and I have to Say,this Might be A must fly Campaign is you have the Eagle in your DCS library The Missions feel well thought out and integrated,it feels like you're in a Warzone,Not just a Shoot and Fly like the Bear trap Campaign Included in the FC3 Eagle,And the Learning curve is a Nice touch. Voice acting is great if not better than in Hollywood movies, You are not just Tom cruise in an Eagle instead an actual Player in a Warzone. The Long flights are Not at all boring,as you have your Obnoxious wingman to poke you and ask you questions. There's a Vibrant cast of Men on the ground and air. other than the Russian Bandits, you have Georgian Frogfoots ,Hinds and Hips, fellow Eagles, Globemasters, Magic and even Abhkazian L-39s and Fishbeds. I wish Baltic Dragon continued to make campaigns....
