I hear it. I assumed it's supposed to be the JFS shutting down. You can hear it in videos of real F-16's starting up, but it's faster, higher pitched "pew" sound, but what I'm hearing in DCS is a lower pitch and longer sound. In this video from in-cockpit, you can hear it right about 0:59: This one from outside, you hear (and see a black puff) around the 2:12: For comparison I just recorded a startup in DCS from inside the cockpit and outside. I've never started the jet from outside before, and (to me) it's much more noticeable from outside. Inside I hear it begin right at 0:33. While watching it back I also notice it happens right as the FLCS PMG and TO FLCS lights go out, and it's 2 seconds later when the JFS switch cuts off: Outsie I hear the sound begin between 0:38 and 0:39:

Also not sure if this is beneficial for PCL; at the moment i just use the quality setting along with XRNeckSafer.

+1. Guarantee a majority of players don't know there's manuals let along the process of accessing the manual.

Sorry to Resurrect an old thread, but thought someone might benefit from what I ultimately bought to provide a landing gear lever. This is the Total Controls, Multi-Function Button Box. Not only does it have a gear lever, but also a hook lever for carrier aircraft. Plus all the other programmable buttons, knobs and switches. Works great.

On a Pimax Super. Tried re-installing both. Only fix was rolling Pimax Play back.

I'm 90% sure I'll get the C-130J first. It's scheduled for October if things go well. Battlefield 6 is also scheduled for October 10th. Of course, all in 2025.

Re the glimpse of gameplay - the dev mentioned above that there will be video's incoming, so you'll get the same with this it would seem. As for the preorder being strange - I don't think so. The pre-order is a choice. The dev maybe could have chosen not to do it (I don't know the contract obligations with ED) - and not given an option and just had it available to buy at release. Well - we still have that option now to us anyway - we just have the additional choice of whether we want to buy it early for an additional discount. Personally - I'm not a huge person of pre-purchasing myself - but I'll never knock someone for making it a choice that I can ignore so it gives options for others who have a different mindset or priorities to me.

We won't change what each other thinks, no matter how hard we try, unless we all meet up for a pint at a local bar.

I feel like this would be simple, its been done for all the other helos so it should basically be plug and done. The toggle would disable trim from affecting the pedals. Any update? Its weird this hasnt been fixed yet since its hpw the real helo works, so tight now you cant simulate how it actually works.

That's counter to the training, which has you dip the nose slightly right as you get over the deck, and then flare for a three-point trap.

How about some air drop ground marker panels as objects? And while we're at it a flashing IR strobe for a night drop zone would be a great and useful object too.

The top strap on the Super doesn’t have much adjustment for the angle; it’s different from the OG’s.

Thanks for this. How does the upscaling work with DCS? Is it even needed since we have DLSS? In regards to the Quadviews - I've been waiting for this for some time to be native to Pimax. Does this work with the Crystal Light as a Fixed region in the center? And if so - is there a way to adjust the view left/right/up/down? (Either by app, or editing a config fiel)? At present from the video, it seems like you can only set % vertical and horizontal. For fixed users - it would be helpful if we could offset that as well - especially up/down.

No choice for me. My DCS modules last me their lifetime. FPS games I get bored and put aside after a much shorter period. Plus - I have been waiting for this for some time! Can't wait to see how much it adds to what DCS can already do from a dynamic MP environment, not to mention what it will mean for the DCE - which IIRC was hinted to be released later this year as well?

In game how I want to assign a Key binding to Increase/Decrease Radio freq. Testing shows that the R1 Freq up/Down only changes the Decimal portion of the freq. What keybinding is used to change the leading digits ? ..... so far I cant do it. The only way seems to be by typing in the required freq.

From the info, looks like 2 initially, with a 3rd planned after initial release. Presumably Pilot, Co-pilot, loadmaster. No. I would say they under-promised and over-delivered. They've said "by the end of 2025" many times. Reading between the lines on what they've posted over time, I've always assumed it was going to be sooner than that and they were making sure they didn't miss a date.

You're right, it's not a legal gray area. They said "ALL FUTURE 3rd PARTY AGREEMENTS". F-15 (and likely the others) were by all reports already underway by that point, so they weren't "future agreements". They may not have been officially announced, but that doesn't mean they weren't signed.

I totally agree. There is a DCS: Debden Eagles Campaign - Mission 3 video from Wolfpack345 on YouTube. This video is a year old and the mission is working fine on it.
