British were well aware of issues and limitations on the SPO15-RADAR-JAMMER interference and bunch of other stuff well before the fall of the USSR. They really knew the opponent once you read the whole section, how the spo15 looked and showed, radar worked etc. You can use it, it was released by them. Though I dont have the complete document To quote the 1987 F3 tactical manual. Someone on Redditt mentioned it may be linked with the vertical resolution of the Quest 3 display, so it may well be fine in other headsets. I know due to astigmatism in my own eyes I have to have the Quest 3 lenses totally perpendicular to my eyeball alignment to get good crisp focus straight ahead, so its a particular issue for me which means the view a little above and a little below the centr line is not so well focused. Im not sure you could pick up the VR headset position in a track view? If I knew how to record in VR I could post a short clip. I can try to replicate it with a coouple of screenshots ...

Maybe we’ll see the overall capabilities some CCAs after they enter service in a few years. But only god knows whether or not we will exactly how CCAs integrate with the F35s avionics and PVI within the next decade.

www.songofthenibelungs.airgoons.com Discord invite: https://discord.gg/4Sx5RGdD The Song of the Nibelungs is the next Wargame project from Air Goons, starting in October! Focusing on central and northern Germany in 1986, the war becomes decidedly not Cold. An exercise conducted by NATO causes suspicion among Warsaw Pact leaders, which in turn makes NATO decision makers believe they need to initiate their war plans. A series of confusions leads to NATO forces attacking at Fulda Gap, and the war begins. For DCS specifically you got: F-4 F-16 F-14 (as tornado) A-4 (as AlphaJet) F-15 F-104 Mod Mirage 2000 Mirage F1 F-18 Harrier A-10 Viggen. That's right, Sweden joined NATO and now somehow are leading the charge to East Germany. Alt history can be wack. We got commanders, pilots, players, generals, truckers, and just spectators. We welcome everyone who can abide by rules, and we don't require any formal signup or commitment. For modpacks, we use some custom liveries, and low digit SAM mod, F-104, A-4. Helicopters might have a role but there is an organizational challenge to incorporating them.

correct as-is DCS MiG-29A Flight performance and air drag seems weird
Кош replied to HoMeBoY's topic in DCS: MiG-29A Fulcrum
It's soldered to the same cable as second button. Pilot in Ru forums said you can normally use either button but for consistency of procedures everybody agreed to use button 2 both for takeoff and landing. The block is re-used from MiG-23 where takeoff and landing settings were indeed different. -

Yes. In main menu select TRAINING and then the first training mission that is listed. There will be only 2. You can't keep MiG-29A straight in flight like you can do with F-16CM when joystick is released. Only autopilot. Trimming in flight is almost constant and you must never take your hand off the joystick. MiG-29 is not fly-by-wire. It is raw, wild beast. So whatever you do with trimming, plane will still bank a tinny little. Or pitch. You counter this with joystick inputs.

What are everyone's control settings?
Raven (Elysian Angel) replied to guitarxe's topic in DCS: AH-64D
10cm 100 0 But it depends 100% on your own setup and your own preferences. Use whatever works for you -
are you talking about the training mission for cold&dark? If so, the bank thing is stillt present as you will alter the trim. Hey @Jef Costello, the folder with the default.lua file is located here Your Harddrive\ DCS World OpenBeta\Mods\aircraft\MiG-29-Fulcrum\Input\MiG-29-Fulcrum\keyboard and you'll find the trim sensitivity in the following lines aileron trim: Line 111&112 pitch trim: Line 109&110

I don't think so. You can use mission planner before the start. Most realistic is of course the briefing info which should tell/show your starting position and how to move on.

Alrighty then. Would *I* love such a feature? Yes! Would *I* treat such a feature as more than a gimmick? Yes! One of the drawbacks of the way we enter the cockpit now after clicking “Fly” on the briefing screen, is that you have no idea where are are parked in relation to the active runway. Sure, you can open the F10 map and find out that way, but with all the issues that has (overexposure upon re-entering the cockpit, VRAM usage) I’d rather not do that unless I *really* have to. Perhaps this walk around will help in that regard

Если ты спокойно и аргументированно опишешь баг или недоработку, есть вероятность исправления. Ну и кто-нибудь из форумчан, что-то может подсказать.

TDC target akquisition dysfunctional
LeCuvier replied to ejbhimself's topic in Controller Questions and Bugs
I have observed this too, although it doesn't happen every time now. When it happens, I can lock the target with the "Undesignate/NWS/ACM" button. @NineLine : Interestingly, there is this line in the most recent change log: "Fixed: Odd target designation/undesignation behavior due to MSI." If "MSI" refers to the graphics card, I have to state that my graphics card is NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080. So MSI might not be the (only) culprit, and the bug is at least not completely fixed. Edit: I hadn't realized that MSI integrates NVIDIA chipsets. My graphics card is a MSI GeForce GTX 1080 GAMING X 8G Edit: This might be useful: Before the last update, I had to use the "Undesignate/NWS/ACM" button all the time to designate the target. Since the update, the "TDC Depress" works about half the time. -
If done properly, this can be a useful, nice to have feature. However, it has to be well defined, meaning a few things have to be taken into consideration first: 1. Are pilots real entities outside the jets that can be interacted with or killed? 2. Will it require changing the startup animation of most AI jets in the game to include pilots climbing into the cockpit? 3. Some pilots get assistance climbing into the jet and strapping in, will this be added too? 4. What's the initial position of the pilot after spawning? If you think about connecting the briefing room feature and making people walk to the jets, consider the distance to the jet might be large in airbases that are not an aircraft carrier. It's a "game" feature more than a "sim" feature (for this to be a sim feature multiple additions are required to make the walkaround meaningful) , so it has to be built with gameplay in mind.

If I recall correctly I opened the file with a text editor and removed stuff that was no longer used (something about helios I used before) or something that was not supposed to be there!

Can you roll back to Caucasus before the update? Unplayable in VR...
draconus replied to dmatt76's topic in DCS: Caucasus
The map has been updated so obviously there can be some performance difference. Either adjust your settings and move on or be specific if you think there's some problem. Save a short track with Su-25T where you find the most performance hit and upload here. Edit: DCS updates are optional, so yes, you can roll back for SP. -
Alphasim has released many of their old models source files. I guess there was also the Starlifter in that pack. I can´t find a side where those are up still. But I have em on a hdd backup. If you like, I can search & send the model files to you.
