  2. What's a "short track?" I can see tracks in my Saved Games\DCS\Tracks\Multiplayer folder but they're all the entire match, not just the incident. How do I trim them down?
  3. Thank you we appreciate the support.
  4. My post was more about being realistic about the hardware requirements for high-end headsets, since “the best VR experience” can mean many things. Personally I’d consider higher framerate on a lower-resolution headset a better VR experience than 20-30 fps with a headset that gives you better visuals. I didn’t mean to suggest the G2 specifically, but ‘a’ headset with similar resolutions because I know the type of system that is needed to run it. So my suggestion would be to not aim too high, but you said you have a budget you want to respect so that’s a good guideline. I wouldn’t be comfortable with a used VR headset either. At the very least it would have to come with a brand new headband since that absorbs quite a lot of sweat. You get where I’m going with this
  6. You'll have to try it. Some things may have changed by updates. Any reason why you don't want to update the DCS-BIOS?
  7. Thanks for your efforts this is awesome can you please add a gunsight Thanks for this.
  8. I don't want to go into every exact detail but I have been fortunate to gain real world flight time in four warbirds since 2013. Twice, under unusual insurance conditions, I have flown real F4U-Ds (once in 2022 for 1.3 hours and once in 2024 for 1.5 hours {Obviously, I am not the owner of said Corsair.}). I can easily and definitively say that the F4U-D as it presents in DCS as of Sept of 2025 is not very close with respect to the flight model for a real F4U-D. Major differences include: 1 - The real F4U-D is nowhere, ... and nohow, ... as twitchy as the Magnitude 3 version. All the axes are more stable but most notably, pitch. 2 - While you do have to trim regularly in a real F4U-D, it is not the Tamagotchi situation that presently occurs with the DCS version. 3 - The well known left wing drop is not as bad in the real F4U-D. 3 - I can easily say that the real F4U-D is much faster, ... and subjectively much faster feeling, ... than the DCS version. (It's a f ........ throaty beast, ... and not just subjectively.) 4 - The 13 foot prop is much louder and throatier than the affair in DCS. 5 - While careful attention to engine management is crucial to success in the real F4U-D, the unusual engine seizures and characteristics currently of the DCS version are not correct. Now, I don't mean to drop a turd in the punchbowl and then run for the exits but I am not even a participating member of this forum (by my own choice). I just had not seen any comments from real warbird pilots and wanted to make a contribution. Lastly, I want to say that I am appreciative of Magnitude and time they have spent on this model. I know things will be fine tuned in the months and years ahead. Thanks for your work Magnitude!
  9. Hopefully just me being stupid, but I couldn't see any bindings or something to click on with the mouse to open the doors for the pilot and co-pilot. Am I missing something obvious?
  10. I would hang onto what you've got now and keep saving up. Nothing in going to really give you much improvement. You will have much better success saving for a while and picking up a used unit later on when they become more available and you have more to spend. A used BSB2 9 months from now might be interesting for you.... perhaps
  12. Ramping up recruitment again after summer break.
  13. That sounds strange. I flew an approach for RWY28 in the F16, and even though the GP isn't as steep as it should be (it's 3,7° IRL, but DCS defaults to 3°), there is still plenty of terrain clearence:

    DCS МИГ-29A

  16. Obviously after a repair the aircraft should be brand new, so if it doesn't behave like it should it doesn't sound correct. But now it would be good to know what actually went wrong, so we can figure out if it was actually a bug or something else that went wrong. So, can you replicate it? Do you have a short track?
  17. Today
  19. I have a quick question, maybe someone here can help me. On what texture is the glass from the intake lights mapped on the F-16D Blk 52 NS?
  20. "Если бы поставили"... подразумевает что их там нет...
  21. А на МиГ 29 такие платы не ставились ?
  22. JJK

    Quest3 VD

Quest3 keeps losing connection. The Q3 goes black, and the screen freezes. Only on the Afghan map, Persian Gulf and Caucasus is OK. A few updates ago I had no problem with it. Everything is up to date including BIOS. RTX 4070, enough RAM. VD
  23. wanted to add to this also, joined a server selected f1 EE; selecting canon/rockets switch, salvo switch up, rockets to inert and then master arm on, caused all my rockets to fire without trigger press. Happened not long after takeoff/respawn. Tryed to record this as i was able to repeat twice, amd adrenaline stream/recording caused the game to crash on save unable to record sorry. I have a feeling this is something to do with controls not syncing at respawn.
  24. Being a good Canadian, I always have duct tape on hand. I'll just cover them up and take the tape off when I actually need them.
  25. Mainly Phantom, Hornet and Huey. Own a few more modules I would love to fly. However... if a day had few more hours...
  26. I damaged one wheel on landing but I was able to make it to the parking area intact. I shut down, made sure the engines were completely stopped and then used the F8 menu to ask for repair. Got an affirmative reply from the Chief. Waited, countdown started, repair sequence ran. Chief comes back with "repairs complete." I restart the aircraft and get moving. Now the A-10 pulls heavily to the right, much more than it normally does. I know that the A-10 normally drifts when rolling on the ground becasue of the offset front gear but this is much worse than that. SO anyways, after "repair" I need to hold the rudder to about ten degrees continuously just to keep it on the taxiway or I will end up in the grass. Is this working-as-intended or is this a bug?
