По поводу угона :) А как Вы заставите системы ПВО не выполнять по нему пусков? Как Вы заставите угонщика сесть? Ему не пофиг ли убиться в смертельной схватке с "своими" же? Выглядит бредовов... Нужна хотя бы собственная система расчёта очков...

А насчёт перехода на линукс - решение неоднозначное, наверное, если бы не ЛО, перелез бы на него совсем, для моих задач и хотений там всё есть. И, чем дальше эволюция, тем меньше появляется необходимость у неискушённых пользователей править всё ручками, лазия в консоль... Сам, после долгих поисков, остановился на Ubuntu - на мой взгляд, лучший дистр как для начинающих, так и для продвинутых пользователей. В крайней версии имеется интеграция с компизом, после которого Виста с Аерой кажутся детским лепетом :)

Hey Groove... from what I experienced over the weekend when I installed Vista 64 bit and 32 bit, the v-sync did not work in LockOn. I tried Catalyst 8.3 as well 8.2 both no go... AA and AF did work but not v-sync, and it looks terrible. Other things I could not get to work is my switches because the USB controller I have right now is not suported in Vista. Lluckily I found controller from the same guy with updated chip that is suported in Vista... when I replace it switches will work in Vista as well, leaving my only worry this v-sync. Oh and also, I don't know why but sounds are very crap in LockOn under Vista. Some engine/distortion sounds are on all the time even with engines off when you are on the ground.

As far as i know VSync is always ON under Vista. Will check later on my own PC though...

Hell Yeah I'd agree with you there. Exploits - It's there for all to consider and use and/or abuse as the Individual deems fit. Sure - there are numerous numbers of Abhorrent Flaws in LockOn as highlighted Countless times in Numerous Threads to date - all you need to do is follow the Locked Threads and Body Count......... Point Is - We are ALL affected by the same Flaws.........It is up to the Individual concerned to tailor his Flight acoordingly, be it having regard to a particular action which he may deem an exploit, but others not, and visa versa....... The above is Highlighted by the fact that certain servers allow certain practices, whilst others do not. Now there i in my opinion absolutely nothing wrong with this practice - each to their own! The best thing to do is to ensure that all are aware of the Weaknesses of the Simulation and then, dependant on your propensity, choose the scenario which best suites your needs. A practice which should be discouraged in my opinion is the tendancy to go on a 'Witch-Hunt' every time a 'Nefarious' practice raises it's head........ We are all Bound by the Inherent Constraints of the Simulation - what we can do is Choose HOW we play the Game. And until the eventual release of a Patch, or modification of the Source Code by a talented individual, choosing how we play the Game and more Importantly, with Whom we take to the Virtual Skies will just have to suffice :)

:) Any time a missile is seaking a target it puts its self into a lead persute. All missiles need to move in order to intecept a target. Its best that you start your moves at the get go, always stay one step ahead of the bandits moves. Bleeding a missiles energy is not that hard to do, remember Missiles have a limited amount of fuel and slowing them down is easy to do. But with slowing them down remember to not become into a posistion where your closer to a bandit. :joystick:

Question. for us pit builders, will we be able to use potinometers throue a IO card to adjust the hud dim/bright? Can we asine the pot. to a certin dile in the cocpit? And how many axes will be suported in game?

It's most likely a labelling error on the website - as Gys points out, the Mk3 version of the Tornado was an interceptor. And if Gys says he modelled the GR4, I'd be inclined to believe him ;) Both the Jaguar and the Harrier came in GR3 variants, so the designation isn't unheard of . . . but wrong for this aircraft.

On shots GR4 and IDS version of the Tornado. We did not do GR3.

Guys, two question about Panavia Tornado. Which are the differences between GR3 and GR4 version? And why you are modeled GR3 (seen in the last shots) and not the GR4 (that are in service on RAF)? Thanks in advance! :smilewink: Bye Phant

Hi, I was wondering or it is possible to make a scriptfile .lua to show text up in game... For example you got a program where you can typ text in and when you press enter it will be send and showed on the server... So you can show a message of the day or show information about currently how many planes flying and stuff like that... Greetz

I think I have found the clue... I resetted my old graphic settings through Modman, and as wrote Ironhand in a previous post, I was able to see the target from about 16.5 km. I think the problem came due to the installation of Thomas Weiss FPS Tweak (which is absolutely excellent !). In the Graphics.cfg, the values ObjectFogMultiplier and Fogparam1 where set to 0.8, resp 16. I changed these two value to the normal settings again (0.6 - 12) and now I can see the targets from much farther. :D

S! I made a testflight today and shamandgg recorded the flight. But in his options the external view was disabled. How can I change it back to allow the external view while viewing the track? I can get into the options when I load the track file in the map view but i cannot re-activate the external view button. Heeeelp Christian
