I don't think the marketing effect this sim may have is really a primary objective of Kamov. The developers who make Steel Beasts are very similar to ED, in that they began creating simulators on contract with various governments to help train their crews (so these countries already have the equipment being simulated, no need to market to them).
Since they already have experience (like ED) in the public market, it makes sense to keep that revenue stream open and simply convert the technologies over for commercial use. Now they keep their fan base of flight sim fans, can dual-develop products, and create the most realistic sims available. This approach is excellent news for all of us sim fans, as anyone who has played and enjoyed Steel Beasts ProPE can tell you, it gives you the most authentic, no-frills experience available (as long as you're into that sort of thing.).
Maybe it isn't DX10 compliant and there aren't 3 million flyable cockpits with advanced phasic lighting and ultra-pretty clouds (but i must say this sim DOES look BEAUTIFUL) but that one aircraft they do simulate will feel ALIVE. You can probably tell by now I have alot of hope for this product ;)
