Although the game will be available for download from the 1C web site, it will not be available to western consumers. Details of DCS: Black Shark includes: Digital Combat Simulator: Black Shark • DCS: Black Shark is a simulation of the Russian Ka-50 attack helicopter and is the first simulation module of the Digital Combat Simulator series by The Fighter Collection and Eagle Dynamics. • DCS: Black Shark can be played as the most realistic combat helicopter simulation ever created for the PC with authentic flight dynamics and systems modeling. Black Shark may also be played as a console-style arcade game for the casual gamer. • A detailed and accurate 330,000 sq km depiction of the western Caucasus region serves as the battlefield and includes a broad array of eastern and western air, land and sea units. • Each air, land and sea unit is accurately modeled to include detailed models, weapon systems, movement dynamics and artificial intelligence. Each bullet, rocket, shell or bomb fired is modeled in detail for accurate performance. • Powerful and easy to use Mission and Campaign Editors are provided to allow creation of user-created missions and campaigns. Non-linear campaigns are provided with unlimited replayability. • Multiplayer game play is provided to include both cooperative play using the Ka-50 data link and head-to-head. Multiplayer supports up to 16 players. • A set of detailed training missions, single missions and a campaign are included. In addition to the Russian version, a single western version (DVD and download) including support for English, French, German and Spanish is currently in development. Much localization work still remains and there will be a 90-day period between when the western version is completed and submitted to the various Age Rating Authorities as required by law (ESRB for USA, PEGI for Europe (less Germany) and USK for Germany), then presented to distributers and when the game will be available for purchase. Although the game will be completed in 2008, it may not be available for purchase until early 2009. Between now and the release of the western version, we will be releasing free content for DCS: Black Shark to include: the PDF DCS User Manual (165 pages), the PDF Ka-50 Simulation Flight Manual (400 pages), and an English-only interactive demo. A printed, spiral-bound, extended 550 page Ka-50 flight manual will also be available for sale. Both the retail and digital download versions of DCS: Black Shark will be using the latest version of StarForce. The DVD version will require activation to prevent piracy. The download version will have 10 activations. This decision was made only after three years of testing using well over 100 beta testers over a wide array of hardware and installed software. During these three years of intensive testing, not a single tester encountered a StarForce-related problem. We feel StarForce provides a safe and effective means of combating software piracy. No disrespect intended, but that's easy for you to say, being a tester and all ;) Me - Contrary to what my common sense tells me - I'm in all probability gonna buy the Russian version and valiantly plough my way through the producers' notes, babelfish and a lotta help from Russian Buddies and see if I can at least just start her up.......yes - such is the level of my anticipation that I am willing to go to such lengths......and in the absence of an English manual in the foreseeable future, do what's gotta be done :)

Yes, I do think I will buy the Russian version. I guess it will as usual be impossible to resist buying it. Whether my wife will learn Russian to or file for divorce, is still an open question :D

appearance of jets in DCS depends from commercial success/fail of BlackShark - so if you don't buy it - you make it less successful and get less chances to get jets...

OMG the Russians get to fly their own Ka-50 before the westerners...HOW COULD YOU ;P Congrats on getting this done finally! I anxiously await the Engish version and the spiral bound manual. Besides I'm sure a few bugs will rear their ugly heads as they always do and we are bound to get a slightly more polished version by the time it hits the store shelves here. On the flip side this gives you a chance to schedule a vacation day for the release date.It alsogives the married guys 3 months time to dream up the excuses they're going to need for their wives about why they are up til 2AM every night...or prepare your divorce papers...either way :)

На счет цены скажу что, Igorek +100, 800р более чем адекватная цена, за КАЧЕСТВЕННО выполненную работу я и большую красненькую бумажку с тремя нолями отдал бы (щас меня будут бить вирпилы:music_whistling:), а что в СМФС Х может стоить 1500р я не понимаю, вот... Пора...Иногда возникают и у меня.НО ! больше волнуют не собственные симптомы.С ними , я,как врач и тренер ,и у себя , и у подопечных , разберусь.Не волнуюсь и за здоровье населения сайта(за исключением BLасK(?) and VUDU)Волнуют симптомы в обществе , которые касаются и нас лично , и нашей общей увлеченностью.Я имею в виду LO и в перспективе ЧА.Не будучи особо великим знатоком в перспективах развития современных игровых технологий ,могу с той или иной долей уверенности констатировать , что количество игр на ПК резко уменьшается относительно игр на приставках.Читал и не однократно.Общество мельчает.Т.е. , разработчики и мы являемся "последними из могикан".У многих после этого вырвется : ШОН МОГИТХАН . Действительность такова , господа и дамы.. Посему , предлагаю постепенное отвыкание от продуктов ИД и переход на игры (даже симуляторы!)с одной кнопкой.Лучшая альтернатива - утки...Тьфу , домино !...Перепутал ,....А разработчикам , не тратя время даром ,переходить , как говаривал Великий Комбинатор ,в управдомы.В сисадмины микрософта,т.е...Подтверждением ,(т.е. , неблагоприятным прогностическим признаком ) моим словам служит время(т.е. деньги) на разработку столь "нужного" продукта для населения. P.S.Посему , заходить на данный сайт я теперь буду не чаще раза в пол года, лениво узнавая, мол "Не выпустили-ли игру...не помню как называется, но перевод с американского названия предыдущей игры явно был неудачным.

I saw on TV where they made a mistake hundreds of years ago translating that part of the Bible and 666 is not the number of the beast, it is actually 616. So X-man is already safe by 50 points :)
