@John_X. Umm... I don't want to be rude, but why don't you show us your 3d models you made with highly accurate 3D shape. If you can do this then I will respect what you are saying as a skilled 3d modeler. However, until you present us (The community) with such evidence, I must respond to what you say with some distaste and disgust. As many have put it before me, community modders do this in their free time as a hobby. You may want to consider, Just for a sec, that they don't have to do what they do, and, they make these mods for YOU! The walmis F-15 was the first real model made by a community modder! You could almost say Walmis was a pioneer in this area (Not my words, but I don't remember who said this) and he started a trend of 3d modeling. "That Mig-29" you mention is Tomcatz's. You may recall that he has done countless mods (Including that lockon4ever mod I'm eagerly waiting to be completed in all seasons). I don't know which euro-fighter you mention, but, again, it represents many hours of work. As does the F-22 model. Please phrase your criticism in a more constructive manner. No one is forcing you to use the mods, but that doesn't mean you should just publicly declare hard work crap. Of course, If you can do better, feel free to show us your work. ;)4 points

Risking an immature back and forth argument, I will respond to your points. 1) I look forward to your mod, but I have seen no pictures, so I have no way to judge 2) When you make comments as I have seen you do already, it's no small wonder why people don't take you seriously. If you have to criticize, make it constructive and provide references for them to improve. I have seen none of that. 3) I saw those words, but that's not how I interpreted it. I saw it more as a "You suck, stop making mods!" kind of attitude. I'm sorry I miss-understood. </sarcasm> 4) funny you should mention I'm talking shit... I'm just posting in this thread to check the attitude of a single individual. I have done my share of lockon mods, movies, etc. Perhaps you would like to check my youtube profile http://www.youtube.com/jedilink25. I have some river mods I've done, as well so this and a few other skins for my squad. So I think I have a few credentials, and to be honest, a better attitude. I may not be able to Model in 3d yet, but that doesn't mean I can't appreciate the work that goes into these mods. Выражаю огромную благодарность товарищам Рустаму, Albacore, DS, dragony, Беркуту и DarkWandererу за помощь в озвучке. Кампания построена так, что её можно проиграть откатываясь назад по стадиям. Но с определённой (положительной) стадии откат уже невозможен по соображениям целостности сюжета. Кампания не является учебником по тактике, поэтому претензии что «вертолёты так не летают а танки так не плавают» не принимаются. Предупреждение! Все события, персонажи, границы государств и сами государства выдуманы. Территория выбиралась только исключительно из соображений максимальной пригодности к условиям миссий. Желающие поспорить о политике могут спорить в другом месте. Замечание по поводу контроля успеха миссий. Почти во всех миссиях для успеха обязательно приземлиться на указанной площадке. Но есть пару миссий, где очки начисляются по количеству и качеству уничтоженной техники, контролировать прогресс можно волшебной кнопкой «Э». Приятных полётов!1 point

Ok, it´s time to show my pit. I am building my pit for many months and have done some changes to the cockpit. :pilotfly: My cockpit is supposed to represent not a 1:1 copy of a Ka-50, but I try to get near to. This design is so structured, that i can use by network partys. The timber is now nearing completion, so I can start with the panel building. I use to fly a modded Cougar, works very well and makes a lot of fun. :joystick: Excuse my bad english, I hope they understand what I write. Ok and here the pictures: Regards, Shark651 point

@john X: you model 3d for living. hmm, to be honest, if you model for living, then you should know that for example the mig29 from tomcatz is not so bad like you call it. remember this bird only has 15k polyies. damagemodell included. and we talked over the bird too, but tomcatz is right when he says:" at some point there must be a line where to finish". and he is right. i could have made out of the f15c model a 500.000 polyies. but i cannot not, because it will not be usable anymore in the program. so take the playability in account to that, then you know what i ended up with and unfortunatly not with a 1 = 1 model, which is impossible. i have like 3 very very good blueprints here of the eagle and about 2800 pictures of that bird. so after all this research i would have easily been able to go for a 1 = 1 model, but what for? for FPS of 1 ? for sure not. i still have to use LOD models cause the bird has alot of polyies but this is how the cocky crumbles. right now i have fames at about 38fps when i have 4 eagles flying in formation and look at them from six. this is the same when there is a single. so i think it has to do with the nozzles, because i have alot of parts at each nozzle. but i think it is worth it. what i want to say actually. i do not run arround like a pitbull and tell people that thiers mods are crap, unless i see that they are not made by thier own but they say it is. then i really start to freak out :-) especially when i have evidence for that, but i guess every 3d artist can identify with my additude :-) so please, john x, try to calm down. thier is no need for so much hate. this moddercommunity is so small and we do not need fights in this community. so please please, calm down and think about your words one more time if they were reasonable. to be honest, i do not like tomcatz mig29 either, but i have seen the development and all the other mods he has started and finished, esspecially his carrier, i like it alot, but i would never ever use such hard words to tell him, this or that is not right. i just tell him that in a gentle way, cause he might have not seen it, cause when you look at a model for many many days, i do not see mistakes maybe, which i had too. so change your additute please. nobody wants to harm you, but you obviously do. and if my mod will be good or not, thats not up to my hands. the community has to decide, not me. i allways think, it could be better there and there, but i have to stop myself very often. same with skins. in lomac you do not see the beauty of the cockpit, but in renderpictures, so i ask myself, why am i pulling it that much? i hope you will understand cheers lets have a beer or 2 !1 point

The issue described is from the slight force dead zone, which allows the stick to lean forward against the force feedback "spring". The stick centers perfectly, but when you let go, the optical dead man switch turns off game force and substitutes the default centering. There is some looseness, to avoid high power usage of the motors at rest. We are looking at tweaking the driver to have the stick rest at center. Its not a difficult fix. We are also working with sim developers to improve the in-game looseness of forces. There hasn't been a good reason to put in extra effort on force feedback until G940. We find that the developers are eager to incorporate better feedback now that the work will be rewarded.1 point

3d modelling has nothing to do with setting arguments, tomcatz. its true , i dont know a thing about arguments, but i know all about 3d modelling because its one of the things i do for living. i didnt criticise you for some bad arguments tomcatz, i did it for bad shape modelling. not even for the tehnique you use, i criticised the shape you created, criticise that Azrayed can do too, even he doesnt model. the second thing. i bet you wont find even 1 little mistake in my 3d model. the reason i didnt release the mod until now is because i saw the real plane and i realised that my plane doesnt look like the real one.so i remodeled it. in 1 week the shape will be ready. third, it has about 22000 polys , not 50000. fourth, dont be so shocked, just watch your plane and compare it with the original one and im sure you will agree me. fifth, i dont give a dUCK about what you and brumtx think about me. dUCK yourselfs! i just wanted to help you evolve a little bit, because your model sucks. if you are shocked to encounter criticism, dUCK off.i wont help u anymore.stay in your mediocrity.1 point

Проблема понятна - непонятно, как ты этого добился :) Для начала: проверь, нет ли в системе клавиатурных перехватчиков и мапперов (NEwView, PuntoSwitcher и так далее). Проверяй внимательно и тщательно - они могут "маскироваться". Например. переводчики могут иметь функцию перехвата клавиш. Далее. Убери временно из каталогов ..\Config\Input\Aircrafts\ka-50\joystick (\keyboard, \mouse) все файлы, кроме default.lua (то есть, этим ты убьешь все пользовательские настройки инпута). Подключи один Cyborg и попробуй назначения с модификатором. Еще вопрос - а не может ли быть так, что у тебя назначения делаются для игрового режима, а летаешь в реал? Или наоборот.1 point

Have you ever noticed the people doing the complaining about Mods are the people NOT making mods ?....... Until we actually get to SEE some of John X mosds then all I see are hollow promises. And as for " EF 2000 has a wrong modelled nose and i told him a while ago to correct it and i didnt see any changes ". Maybe asking instead of being " told " may work better ........politeness costs nothing. Hi john_X I was a little bit shocked after your last comments. So I`m not pretty sure, if it is right to tell you some things `course you are a modeler too and I think you know how hard this work can be. Think my Mig isn`t okay- Well- I used original NVA-planes about the 9/12. If you don`t like it- not my problem! -Think it`s a little bit to easy to make critics to other great mods while you are not able to finish your own project! -You had a lot of critics about a wrong nose, false look and stoff like that while you are not able to set one ****ing argument at your model! And we don`t talking about a damage model, lights, Tailnumbers or some other operations like this! In this way you show the white flag just like this: i dont have the time to work at this project anymore. all i have for now is the 3d model with an unfinished romanian texture...i can finish the damage model but after that i cant do anything more so, i need a person who knows how to make the animations and all the rest of the settings, basicly to create the mod having assured the finished 3d model... -On the left hand you fill your thread full of questions about : "How to make these? How to make that?" And on the right hand site your attack the same people you asked before. Do you realize, what a bullshit it is, isn`t it? -Noone thrust you to download any mod to any time. You don`t have to pay for anything and you are definitivly not in the position to make comments like that! -Send me your Max-file and I will show you some mistakes you did- Thats an very simple job! -BTW - You can`t use a 50.000Poly model for online sessions. So you create a lag- machine! The only thing you did was to fill these thread with bloody comments- Nothing more. Borchi did an great job. He have enough experience to finish these projekt as well. Walmis F-15 still look's better than the Stock Eagle model~ (for me at least~) I guess it's a good reason to use it. Though, it could have been improved and optimized. Walmis' Eagle currently is the largest FPS eater 3D model .. or maybe 2nd to the Frogfoot T Also, some parts of the model surface "re-uses" textures from other parts of the plane. I've seen it when i did the Lucky Star Skin. But i still use it anyways. :) As for Borchi's Eagle, I wish it wouldn't eat much FPS, better yet increase the FPS like the 3GO Flanker. Anyways, I'd still appreciate the modders no matter how "good" or "bad" their mods/models can be. Those are freebie cookies after all =D1 point

Hey, breeze ! One can make critisism on 3D models, and not be able to model anything himself. This is my "job" in the AdA mod team ;) john_X, I agree that for "trained eyes", it's sometimes hard. On the other hand, as said before, all mods are - at the moment - free. And modders had to find their ways into the LO specifics (cheers, Walmis !) But blue prints aren't always that accurate. In fact, Mirage 2000 blue prints available on the Internet are really inaccurate. That can explain some mishaps... ++ Az'1 point

1) i will soon release a mod and you will see THE DIFFERENCE.until then search for the iar-93/soko j-22 orao and see the clear shape... 2) i can tell you have nothing in common with the aviation if you dont see how many shape mistakes have all those modes. and its not that they dont know the technique of modelling, its because they dont respect the blueprints. a good eye can see how wrong its the f-15 nose modelled. also that EF 2000 has a wrong modelled nose and i told him a while ago to correct it and i didnt see any changes. that mig29 is worse than the original one from the game so the mod is useless...and the f-22 has an unrealistic profile, check the blueprints or any photo.... 3) this is what i said: "have to tell you guys that if you decide to make a mod , PLEASE do it right". i think you missed that word. and my post is constructive.. 4) why dont you show us what can you do in lomac development? cause all i see you can do is talking shit...1 point

Yes, I'm pleasantly supprised that it doesn't require more bandwidth. I remember as I spoke to 159th SG or Fudd early on, they suggested that I plan for 1mbps per client for optimum performance. Not that they had studied it too much at that point - but they had some good experience using that hosting service they use, getting some 10 or 100mbps (actually I dont remember) for their server. :) Kudos to ED for that part of the MP services :thumbup:1 point
