I've flown on HL for a good few years and im quite happy to say I thoroughly enjoy it, sure you get the odd loud mouth idiot who'll try and ruin it for everyone because they got shot down and can't keep they're ego in check. These people seem to convince themselves that Lockon's little quirks are infact because of evil cheaters, but what makes this worse is their ranting spreads like a disease so other casual LOMAC players fall into this trap of scrutiny and conviction without actually paying attention to whats really happenening. I can't for the life of me think why a missile missing a bandit makes someone so angry, and people leaving LOMAC because of this just brings a vision of some spoilt child. If I stressed and ground my teeth over every missile that misses for me, not just at range but as little as 5kms away i'd be getting locked up in the nuthouse, bald and toothless. If there are guys out there with cheats to avoid missiles they're not working too well. When it comes to cheating I can say there has been almost nothing i've seen which I haven't later worked out where I went wrong or what happened. I think this is the crux for some people they think they are invincible, that their tactics will not let them down, but fail to realise that getting yourself in the s###, up close, there is only going to be at most one guy coming out the other end. Im all for trying to weed out whats cheating and what isn't but first lets agree what is the real issue. ---------------- Also regarding why squads don't fly too often on HL, it has nothing to do with supposed cheating it is more to do with the AirQuake thats served up, an unco-ordinated mess of maddogging at close ranged bases. The 504, 3Sqn and 51st have tried to address this issue with mission changes in their servers but sadly the majority of casual players like AirQuake. A lot of squads have befriended the 51st and started flying regularly on HL because of this change.

"There is UN", well, yeah. But they'll only act in small issues. It serves to be remembered that the UN is not a democratically elected body and dictatorships have equal say. Buuut... that can easily derail into a political discussion, which we shall not have. Basically though, the point is that if there is a conflict between either the US and Russia or the US and the PRC you cannot rely on the UN, because both those nations have veto power. So the US would still need to secure a capability to deal with them on it's own, should they decide that they need to intervene in something. But the whole point with building weapons we don't need now actually has a point. An example from swedish history: in 1936 a new defence decision passed parliament since we realized that whoa... Germany is now ruled by nationalsocialists... The decision in there was basically to build up an army to allow us to defend ourselves. Well, it wasn't until 1945 that the provisions set in the 1936 decision was actually filled, and as most people know the show was already over by then, and it was only through a mix of acquiescing to german demands for logistics utilization, threats of blowing our mines and a lot of discount selling of ore and ball bearings that sweden managed to stay out. Militarily it would have been a walkover, literally. (Also, one of the german motivations for invading Norway was to secure Narvik so that swedish ore could not be sold to the Allies.) A crisis can develop a lot faster than you can produce the means for handling the crisis, wherefore you have to ensure that you have the means beforehand. Now, whether that actually translates into a need for X amount of F-22's I don't know, but it should be noted that as long as the F-22 production and the resources for it stays in the US it's not like the country is "losing" all that much on them. 1 billion spent that stays in the economy can even have benefits even if it is the economic equivalent of a welfare check. Also, a case can be made for the ability of one F-22 to replace several F-15's in service, meaning that you might actually save money depending on their maintenance costs.

I wouldn't be surpised to see this happen given missile sensitivity to chaff. I wouldn't call this a sign of foul play in the least, unless there were additional suspicious things. And this is exactly what I mean about shouting 'cheat' without knowing what's going on. I believe what I said is that the moment you spot something suspicious is the beginning of investigation - in short, if you're going to shout cheat, you better KNOW it's a cheat. And you just gave me an example above where you'd call someone a cheat where quite possibly it wouldn't be.

Автору темы - если колеблешься между конкретными моделями - пиши модели, если есть конкретная сумма денег больше которой отдавать не хочется и прайсы магазинов где собираешься брать - пиши. Тогда будут конкретные доводы, цифры, обзоры, советы. А рвать горло в споре фанатов это вертеть круг без точила.

Let me be clear. Tacviews do not always portray what actually happen. But that does not mean ALL tacviews show errors. Most of the time, tacviews are accurate. So if you can show several tacviews with same behavior/suspicion, it is more likely to be true.

As far as I know, all distributon media has the same system - that is, StarForce ProActive with 8 Activations and 10 Deactivations. The exception is the original russian DVD version. I haven't checked D2D specifically, but I would expect it holds true for that. Check your Quicklaunch manual document in your installation folder or Start Menu folder.

Жил был симулятор Flanker, который в ходе эволюции перерос в LockOn Современная Боевая Авиация. Потом потребовали вирпилы LockOn-а реализму побольше, призадумались разработчики и решили забабахать новый самолет, с доселе невиданным реализмом физической модели и авионикой, и сделали LockOn Горячие Скалы и Су-25Т. Понравилось вирпилам, но они чуток попривыкли и захотели еще больше реализму. Разработчики тоже были не прочь переплюнуть сами себя и решили сделать вертолет. Какой вертолет? Знамо какой - одноместный боевой, тобишь Ка-50. Делали вертолет (изначально для Lock On) долго и упорно, параллельно пользуясь славой знатных симуляторщиков сделали А-10С для Американских вояк. И вроде как случилась какая-то нескладушка с прежним издателем - Убисофтом. Достоменно вирпильское комьюнити не в курсе, но по факту с одной стороны - ЕД потеряли право использовать и развивать серию ЛокОн. С другой стороны изменений связанных с Ка-50 накопилось уже несказанно много, все это помножилось на ограничения графического движка. И было принято решение начать новую серию DCS - первым и пока единственным симулятором в этой линейке стал Ка-50. Судя по высказываниям продюсера ЕД - уважаемого Wags-а, с ЛокОном уже потихоньку утрясли неувязочки, плюс вояки США дали добро на создание сима А-10С второго в линейке DCS. Yes! I have seen it happen. Flares will continually get dumped after you are supposed to have run out using shift+q. I would have to see if I can find the details, but we had a player once with this issue. He explained to me that he had reinstalled LO trying to get rid of the issue and then we determined that shift+q was to blame. Not sure of the exact steps to repeat the bug but I'll see if I can duplicate it. I think all the comments here by the 51st members and GG are really good especially in regard to LRM. So many people with accusations of cheating when they simply don't understand exactly what LRM does. Especially the fact that it disallows any scripts from being run except those specified in LRM itself. The fact is, many people think someone is cheating when really they just don't understand what is going on, so cheating comes up. After helping to run the 169th server for a couple of years, the repeated false accusations of cheating was actually doing more harm then the amount of people actually cheating!
