  2. I worked in electronics research and development (fighter avionics actually lol) for about 7 years. Software integration and debug was always that long span of time between getting the hardware built and going to production lol We had a version of the voice warning box for the F-15 where Betty kept saying Bing-En Burn Through. Drove us nuts until we found that semi-colon that had no place being where it was lol

  5. Alright guys (and gals!), the site is up and running. No lessons available yet, but some reading can be done, it will explain how the LET lessons will work, how they are built, how you can purchase it, etc. There are some other cool features also, and the forum is available. Here's the address: http://LeadingEdgeTraining.us And don't forget to scroll down on the frontpage, it seems it's easy to get caught up on the screenshots... :). Thanks for everyone's patience, this is a major milestone on our way to providing the best DCS training available anywhere!

  13. I did further reading as per GG's explanations, and I have to apologize - I was very wrong about this. My error was toward descriptions regarding Strela 2 usage that were given to me long time ago, where I was told that guidance equipment is trying to align the guidance head (which is trying to align itself toward the target) with missile body, not to keep it a t a constant angle. Meaning, it cannot intercept, only dogchase. I assumed that this is a general method for all IR MANPAD missiles, and that PN was used for radar guided missiles only. I was trying to contact the person(s) that told me that info, but no luck. Also, I was not able to find a manual (from Yugoslav Army). Either lost or given away to someone. Terribly, terribly sorry. Very, very grateful for clarification and understanding. Again :)

  17. I was a bit lazy to translate the whole post where that picture is taken from. I'll try now as well as I can. Correct me if I misunderstood something. I hope it makes sense. It's a not totally clear to me in Russian either. "The maneuver is called Ромашка = Chamomile. The group does a left climbing turn to 3500 m. The leader of first pair dives and on attack course calls "On attack 360" (attack course) on radio. Immediately the second one goes into a dive. The first one launches and calls "Launch" on radio". The second calls "On attack 255" and the third one goes into a dive etc... The leader of the group finishes the "Chamomile" after the wingman of the second pair. The advantage is that there is constantly one aircraft on the attack course. The disadvantages - this maneuver requires excellent teamwork, following the exact parameters and constantly knowing where the rest 3 aircraft of the group are. This is one of the many maneuvers used on training sorties." http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=831115&postcount=2081 Also check out from Chechnya. Some are raw footage of single sorties and others are collections from various engagements with music.
