I solve the problem changing the entry CloudAspectThreshold from 0.03 to 1.0 in GameDir\Config\graphics.cfg I don't know what exactly that parameter does but clouds don't change my fps performance any more. I just mention it in case someone else has the same problem.2 points

Заглянул на днях к коллеге, лётчик 1-го класса на Ми-24, лётчик опытный.Уже неделю "сражается" на Ка-50 и первые 4 дня ковырялся как и я, в ужасе от того, что ничего хорошего не выходит. Но к субботе..., летает как по рельсам, ПТУР загоняет в окна и доволен как слон. Нужно терпение и время, зато наградой будет интересная динамика полета и многообразие боевого применения, скучать:lol: не придется.(Признаюсь, вначале на джойстик:joystick: орал...) :pilotfly:2 points

ServMan v.2.1.4 alpha is intended to get you started using Servman for your FC2 servers. (Updated 2. April 2010) This version is NOT compatible with DCS:BS. Since FC2 is just released there are some issue you need to be aware of: - Multiple kill messages from the original FC2 - Maddog missiles / multikill / shooter dies too early may cause unwanted TeamKills or Friendly Fire incidents. With that in mind - be sure that you monitor how often your server kicks people for friendly fire incidents. Also, keep in mind that after a default of 3 TK/FF players may get banned. For this reason alone you may need to adjust the parameters in the serverconfig.lua. Note: in 2.1.4 alpha you may see duplicate "player killed/died" messages - see attached images. I've left ServMan to try to tell which weapon the player was killed with - resulting in duplicates. FC2 often presents "Building" as part of that message. They should be gone after the first FC2 patch, I really hope. Resolved in 2.1.4 alpha - Kick+Ban in all variants works as expected. - UNKNOWN PLAYER messages is gone. (No, it wasn't - needs more fixing) - Fixed a minor problem with first mission in the mission list being repeated twice when mission-rotation was active. Improvements in 2.1.4 alpha - TEAM-chat messages is prefixed to all recievers with "#TEAMMSG: " If you see "#TEAMMSG panzer is a dork" from a BLUE - then RED cant see it and you know it's intended for your team only. Note: When *you* type a TEAMMSG you wont see "#TEAMMSG" on your screen. - /missions now indicates which mission that is loaded and active. Look for ->1<- around the mission ID. - Chat-loggin. Look for the "ServMan-Chatlog-<datetime>.log". It will now log everything you see in the chat on the server. Kills, deaths, damages, kicks etc. - Server-logging. Look for the "ServMan-Serverlog-<datetime>.log" New "loglevel" variable for logging detail level, see "serverconfig.lua" for details. Valid levels are 0 to 3. Note: The format in the file may change in the future. For you who look for a file to parse for your statsweb - do not despair. ECM ranging using TMA is something that can occur over a period of time, at long distances the estimation will be huge. This mod gives an instantaneous range. So in effect rather than being a simulation of the real thing its an arcade addon with unrealistic values and advantages.1 point

Hi Mustang, I don´t have that problem, so there´s no way that I can know for sure that it´s working. But I just downloaded the mod for 1.12 and AFAIK you need to copy: Bazar/Effects/EffectTexturesTGA.cdds to Bazar/Efects Terrain/Surface/High/Coastline*.cdds (all 4 files) to Bazar/Terrain/Surface Don´t copy EnglishCockpit.cdds And now you just need to "tell" the FC20 that you want to load those CDDS before the ones that came with the sim, so open your Config/graphics.cfg with the notepad and look for this line: TextureCollections Just below highFolder = ".\\Bazar\\TempTextures\\";, you need to add these lines: So it will look like: Don´t forget to backup any files that you replace!!!!! Or how wrong others feel about some people not accepting things. The technical points of how the planes and data-links work are actually moot. These things are transmitted at game speed; ED did some work to sync up what you see and what is exported from own-ship, on the behest of - guess who - Yoda. Fact of the matter is that in-game radars are far more capable than real radars in some cases, and far less in some others, but an export doesn't change this (in FC1 you could 'see' a contact on leavu before it was painted on your screen). @Grimes: Yes, I understand what you are saying. But the fact that such a thing might be detrimental to your server's popularity isn't going to stop me from wanting to use this nor from using it. It is your server and your choice. And if I could write an installer like that, you bet I would.1 point

What we want is Equal Playing Ground for multiplayer and don't want individuals using what ever they feel or think is better or more realistic or just for the fun of it. It is one thing to have texture mods as they don't affect gameplay and are only of esthetic nature, it is another to use these for example these radar enhancements (even if they might be realistic) as they are not meant or provided by the game itself.1 point

Hmm... it's a pretty good effort, but still there are 2D elements, don't you agree? So you cannot say it's a full 3D cockpit. Perhaps it's too difficult to do... But I must agree it's better than nothing... Well, "googling" shows DCS modules may take a while until they are released. You might wanna "google" yourself and check out since when full 3D cockpits are being used and then you might understand what I meant when I posted this thread. I´ll give you some clues: FS2004, IL-2... So, if what is shown in your youtube link is the best they can do, then I say again, it's very disappointing. Come on... after all this years in the business?! I could put you lots of examples here of what is being made nowadays, but I'm sure you already know them and I don't intend to insinuate you don't do your homework, just like you did to me :smilewink: Well GGTharos, that kind of comment doesn't fit you good as a moderator and as an ED tester. You should keep an open mind in order to improve the products you test for ED. Take in better consideration the opinions of the people who gives you money for your products. And as a moderator, you should try to cultivate a good mood here instead of putting... lets say, at least, not so polite comments. cool so FC2 is more realistic then but the only other thing I was really dreading is how are the flight models? I know it doesn't compare to BS but how does it compare lets say a mid-range sim like FSX? the fact that you find Blackshark easier is encouraging I still can't control it mid-combat as I lose control but then again I haven't practiced too much...still stuck on Deployment where you head into a valley full of enemies that you need to take out and there are 2 hinds there as well.1 point

Еще раз: управление полем зрения Шквала в вертолете имеет две позиции: Узкое (23х) и Широкое (7х). Переключение поля зрения на вертолете производится переключателем УПЗ-ШПЗ. Поэтому ось для этого мы делать не будем. Если тебе хочется именно ось - используй сторонние средства, как это сделать ты сам знаешь.1 point

@wiwa23, please remember that putting things to "0" may not have the effect as you think. You must work with valid (reasonable) numbers. And indeed, some settings and effects are different from DCS:BS A FC2 tweak guide will be made, though you can find quite some good tips on the forum aswell.1 point

The tactics i use when i get an alarming sound and a SAM-Site symbol on my RWR is : 1. Get your plane as deep as possible over ground and use your automatic countermeasures. 2. Use the contours of the scenery to brake the Radar contact as long as possible. 3. If you cannot hide any longer behind hills etc. keep on flying deep ! 4. Never fly straight ahead ! 5. Just keep on using Chaffs and Flares and fly zick zack course until you are close enough to shoot a Maverick on that SAM Site. 6. While doing that, watch the area carefully for any Missile launches ( smoke trail of the missile start is visible from a distance ) to locate the position of the target visually. To make it "a very little bit" easier to identfy the targets, take the AGM-65D (Infrared Variant) in your loadout instead of the Kamera ( K-Variant ) With the D-Variant you can zoom closer on the TV screen and get a better heat signature of the targets for Visual ID. :pilotfly:Who said that it would be easy to survive as an A-10 Pilot ? :joystick: In real conflicts the AGM-88 HARM ( High-Speed-Anti-Radiation-Missile) is used by other aircraft ( for example Tornado´s ) to neutralize the long range SAM sites, which are capable to fly very fast and long ranges. They home on Radar signals and thats why they hit SAM Sites and other Radar Sites effectively. Newer variants of the HARM can even locate the target even when they turn off the Radar site while the missile is on its way, by flying GPS routes to last known source of Radar contact. I am not sure, if the A-10C ( newest version ) is capable to take some HARM rockets in its loadout and fire them against Radar Sites and SAM Sites. Anyone else can help here ? So generally it is NOT your job to kill Long Range SAMs as an A-10A Pilot.. Now go and tell your Commanding Officer that you dont want to fly that mission :music_whistling: :smartass:1 point

Arent they only used for long distance flights when Airplanes fly from Home Bases (Home Country) to foreign country military conflict areas ? Both, the A-10A and A-10C are optimized for CAS ( for the beginner Pilots : Close Air Support ) Missions , and i am sure that 2 external Fuel tanks would not be an optimal loadout for that type of missions. They are not a choosable option in a real military conflict mission.1 point

Судя по всему проблема в НЕзапоминании места цели при маневрах, и последующих попытках "высмотреть" точечного противника. Тогда и происходит сбитие. КАК ДЕЙСТВОВАТЬ. 1.ПОка неподавлено ПВО, для летчика Су-25 с высот 2000..3000 вовсе не обязательно высматривать и целиться в отдельную машину. 2. При первом поиске ищите объект, привязываясь к крупным ориентирам. 3. Если объект подвижен, то в горной местности он на 95% будет перемещаться по дороге, следовательно искать осматривая дороги. 4. Постарайтесь запомнить взаиморасположение КРУПНЫХ ориентиров и объекта действия (групповой цели). А после разворота, еще не видя конкретных целей, направьте самолет в то место, которое вы запомнили. Пока вы направите самолет, сможете устойчиво лететь на боевом курсе, выполните все необходимые операции с оборудованием, как раз и подойдет дальность распознования точечных целей и открытия огня ( с пикирования - D=~2500м). Затем, применяя РЭБ индив.защ. (ЛТЦ), открывайте огонь. 5. Если по данным разведки у противника имеется ПВО типа ПЗРК "Игла" ("Стингер") или того хуже "Авенжер" начинайте ЕЩЕ дальше (с 4000..3500м), с пикирования стреляя НАР "в то место", и не пытаясь поражать цели после распознания. 6. ПОражать отдельные машины с индивидуальным прицеливанием в каждую рекомендую только после подавление ПВО. PS Возможно настройки драйвера видеокарты без должного сглаживания? PS-2 Не в качестве обиды, а в качестве актуализации желания личной выучки :): проффес. летчик-штурмовик (майор, командир звена) прошел миссии этой кампании почти все с первого раза.1 point

Тов. Чиж надеюсь вы не обидетесь, но мы все таки нашли как редактировать размер чата. В: Как поменять размер чат-лога (когда окно чата закрыто) в онлайне? О: Нужно отредактировать файл chat-log.res в папке /FUI/Resources/Multiplayer/ \dialog \begin \tag{-1} \coord{0, 18, 1023, [color=Red]60[/color]} \musthavecursor{0} \acceptmouse{0} \topmost \layer{900} \end \multicolumnlistbox \begin \tag{2} \coord{20, 0, 1003, [color=Red]60[/color]} \defaultitem{Multiplayer/def_list_box_item.res} \columnswidth{200, 803} \rowsnum{10} \readonly{1} \visiblescrollbar{0} \end Нужно отредактировать линии с '\coord{x, y, w, h}'. Последний парметр определяет высоту заданного поля. По подсчетам каждая линия текста занимает 20 пикселей из за этого если поставить сюда 60 (в коде отоброженно красным) то будет выводится максимум три линии текста. Чтоб редактировать как выглядит чат окно когда оно открыто можно играться с файлом: chat-say.res там не много больше элементов из за кнопок и чекбоксов. цвет световых маркеров определяет режиссёр в редакторе :) ни один джедай не сядет в Ф-15 кроме как в образовательных целях. И воюют в Ф-15 не джедаи, а имперские штурмовики. Ситхи же летают на F-35 и F-22 и не каждый джедай может их обнаружить.1 point

Да, спасибо, теперь все работает. Действительно увидев "Паузу" в одном списке настроек подумал что она для всех. Очень неудобно отдельно каждому самолету присваивать одни и те-же кнопки. Особенно, программируя джойстик.1 point

Here's a tip I discovered that will help terrain builders using landsat/satellite imagery in general to build maps: While it may be tempting to crank up the saturation and contrast on some satellite images, it generally doesn't produce good looking results. This is because the DCS/LOMAC engine uses the satellite imagery as a color mask, and actually uses the Noise_1.bmp file for the actual terrain surface. This is how my terrain looked at low altitude before. I decreased the brightness and contrast by 50/100 in photoshop and it looked much better in terms of blending:1 point
