Just last night, I was flying around and just moving from waypoint to waypoint and I started scanning around the cockpit and looking outside the glass to the world below and suddenly realised what an awesome game this is. Don't worry, Ol Le'Roy has not gone mad, but I have been playing this Sim on and of now for months but never really (for the use of a better word) "stopped to smell the roses":doh: and I thought I would just share my thoughts with you fellow pilots (virtual). For the 1st time in many hours of game play, I actually just sat back and enjoyed the ride and may I add, I decided to fly real low about 100ft and wow, it is not only beautiful grahpically (did I spell that right?) it is very fast. All in all, for me personally this is by far the most polished Sim to date.:pilotfly: I can only imagine how the next game will be if it is looking at jet aircraft, awesome, I suspect. Any virtual groups out there using this Sim that I could join?:thumbup: Cheers

Got it to work. Switch the trigger type from "once" to "continuous action" (and remove the "message" unless you want to be spammed by messages :))

Well done. A big thumbs up on giving up smoking, excellent. You should let ED know they found a way for smokers to quit. As I work for ATODS here in Oz, I am always happy to hear someone has given up one substance or another. 10 out of 10 mate.:thumbup:

Not bad, look like it lacks a lot of AA but thats maybe because of FRAPS/youtube compresion. Could be a little sharper, like your taxiing and flying...j/k!

Indeed, been waiting for DCS:BS since I first touched Longbow. The DCS series is literally a dream come true for me, and I hope there may be many more additions and sincerely wish ED the best of luck in all their endeavors. :thumbup:

Yep, if its mapped in Maya, it will save the mapping to 3dsmax in the obj format, so that should be fine. Though, If the whole aircraft is one object, you can run into some problems. I noticed this a few days ago when I tried to export a obj file. When I imported into max, the whole model was 1 object, and since it had quite a few polys on it, FC2 didnt handle it and rendered it wrong. So I devided the model into more pieces and it was fixed. So my conclusion is that there is a poly limit per object in FC2. This limit is below 80k polys somewhere, so there shouldnt be any problems for any modesl out there. Just to clarify, this "limmitation" is per object in your model and not the total poly count. Also I havent tested this thoroughly so I may be wrong.

In order to change how big the chat log is (while the chat box is not active) you need to edit the following file chat-log.res located in /FUI/Resources/Multiplayer/ \dialog \begin \tag{-1} \coord{0, 18, 1023, [color=Red]60[/color]} \musthavecursor{0} \acceptmouse{0} \topmost \layer{900} \end \multicolumnlistbox \begin \tag{2} \coord{20, 0, 1003, [color=Red]60[/color]} \defaultitem{Multiplayer/def_list_box_item.res} \columnswidth{200, 803} \rowsnum{10} \readonly{1} \visiblescrollbar{0} \end You need to edit the \coord{x, y, w, h} lines. The last parameter is responsible for height, each line of text is 20px as such setting this parameter to 60 (highlighted in RED) will only leave 3 lines of text max while the chat window is CLOSED. To edit how the chat window appears when it is open you need to edit chat-say.res, but it is a little more complex as there are way more coordinates to mess with. Interesting. I never noticed this theard before. :D For serval years, i also researched the JASDF. Cool. I could also claim there are epics fails everywhere at work, but unless I explain what I'm talking about, there's not going to be anyone believing me is there? I would be labeled as a troublemaker. Perhaps the things you see as "epic fails" do have a rational explanation? So whyt not elaborate a little bit? :)

In that case, yes ejection would be the only sensible choice, and the same would go for most aircraft. In the case of a total or nose only failure, or main gear failure and nose could be retracted or likewise for a single main a belly landing would be the usual course of action. If at all possible a landing is obviously to preferred mainly as ejection itself is a dangerous option and usual results in at least minor injuries, and of course saving the aircraft in order to determine the cause of the fault and prevent it occurring again on other aircraft. It'll be interesting to see what the problem was in this case, if you see anything announced please let us know as I doubt it'll appear on any English websites or news sources.

I would recommend Fraps. It's a screen capturing program and I believe there is a free trial which allows you to record 30 seconds per clip. So, just record a few and edit them together. Done deal :)

I've only been playing it a short time, but I'm amazed - and I think I'm probably ED's target market. I am NOT a simmer - I bought a joystick and track IR specifically for this game. The game mode made me pick it up and enjoy it...the advanced fidelity has kept me intrigued. DCS made me a simmer, and I think that's probably the best thing that can be said.

Use of the search function might actually get you responses to all of said issues, since they are all known, and allow you to read an explanation by the programmers detailing why these things are very hard to fix. But in short: Replace the entire terrain engine. If you want that to be done before anything else, I anticipate your unhappiness when ED goes bankrupt because 95% of their programmers were sitting idle since they were waiting for the guys qualified with working on the terrain engine to re-do it from scratch. ;) There is something called "reality", and in reality people have to prioritize. And if you ask around a bit and have some experience of the computer software industry you'll note that these products are actually relatively free of bugs. But that's eye of the beholder stuff. :)

верно! а если подбить вертолет и он сам размажется об землю - значит его убило СТРОЕНИЕ ... подбил противника, он убил меня, потом сам упал - Убило строение применив Р-27Р летит штурмовик подбитый ПВО, добиваю ракетой - СТРОЕНИЕ убил ... применив Р-27Р если лететь на пмв и через секунду после смерти врезатся в землю частенько победа присуждается строению... и вообще в нормальном обычном воздушном бою нередкость когда победа присуждается СТРОЕНИЮ.
