starting slowly, this pit is complicated, because i didn't had any answer from ed developers about the templates. i spend hours seaching each litle peace of texture in the origin files. but now, all the hud is new, the front area is also completely rebuild. it will take ages but the result will be great, for sure.:smartass: cheers.1 point

hi all you now when motors go down what you must do '' To prevent RPM decay, the pilot must promptly lower the collective pitch control to reduce drag and incline the total aerodynamic force vector forward so it is near the axis of rotation. Remember in some helicopters you can go from normal operating rotor RPM to an unrecoverable blade stall condition in Under 10 Seconds.'' Why in DCS BS this is not correct ??? question is : 1.what happen when in autorotation RPM go below minimum unrecoverable RPM ? 2.is rotor stop running to zero and we continue to fall like brick or rotor still have some RPM but still fall like brick ? if has why me can't recover RPM to ''safe'' RPM? 3.i ask this questions because in DCS Black Shark you can always recover RPM in autorotaion. even i try some test and i realize DCS dont do job right in this simulation or i get wrong and i apologize in beginning :( -i try vertical autorotation with collective all way UP from 1000m altitude and in this situation helicopter continue autorotation (RPM go to 40% of rotor and then stabilize on 50%) and vertical speed of decent was about 10-12 m/s and with landing gears down helicopter land only with damage of gear (i didnt touch no control at all :) in real life if i do this my RPM will go to zero or what ??? -another test was when i shot down motors collective was in middle position and helicopter continue in autorotaion with speed 100km/h and 60% rotor RPM. i didnt put down collective like in real situation all pilot WILL. and i use half way of collective to make clear land on runway :) this is very strange to me :( -third test i shot down motors and i put collective all way UP and helicopter get in autorotation and stabilize on 70km/h with 50% rotor RPM. i take down landing gear and dont touch anything then. helicopter still fly in this autorotaion with 10m/s vertical decent and make crash landing with small damage EVERY time :) again very strange to me :( -forth test was shot down motors and i put collective all way DOWN and helicopter get in autorotation and stabilize on 210km/h with 50% rotor RPM. i take down landing gear and dont touch anything then. helicopter still fly in this autorotaion with 16-18m/s vertical decent and make crash landing with small damage EVERY time but pilot always alive :) again i dont understand this ????? -so pilot is no needed to fly in autorotaion in DCS because helicopter always land alone with no problem and pilot go home alive ? if someone touch commands heli crash :) I love DCS BS but i need to see real FM model and behavior of helicopter and when i try some test in this SIMULATOR to make the same test in real life. For all this years only YOU made the first GOOD helicopter simulator! All other just try in this. For this i hope all who now helicopters aerodynamic , all REAL and VIRTUAL pilots and ED DCS will answer we on this question because i and all others pilots really need answer on this. It is possible or just bag in game or bad programing and what will happen in real life if i do all this? THNKS for making my life better . . .1 point

This third-party WIP model is being supported by ED and we hope to be able to include it officially in DCS Warthog as an AI aircraft, but it will depend on time available. A few bugs still left on stats: I never shot down anyone with the sidewinder. After crashing due to excessive G's I was granted a death By R-77. I was never hit by one.1 point

Well AIM-120C is an ARH missile theres a factor right there; + adaptive warhead, inertial with GPS enhanced mid course corrections, stealth attacks etc etc, VS much old SARH missile, what did you expect? Did you just contradict yourself in the same sentence? Your looking for facts but want wagers? We were talking about proximity detonation effectiveness, but thats ok I can speak of this too: Long range shots give lots of warnings and plenty time to notch and theres a big gaping kinetic escape window for the target. DUH They will loose track not because the missile guidance ECCM or warheads sucks but because the target has broken the lock on which it is dependent on. Quite obvious facts. It explains the differences. whats the surprise here? Using the R-27 for long range shots is highest risk tactic. You need to be alot closer than that to maximize PK but people just will refuse to realize this and complain their plane or missile of choice sucks the most. Have you noticed Cases graph wheres there's a general trend for missiles to kill better the shortest their range is?1 point

No. The linked map was zoomed so it shows entire Georgia. So you can visualize exactly what FAQ says and nothing more: I wouldn't take 'surrounding it' as 1000 km offset :) To give you a rough idea... (the area which might be added is shaded red) BTW, have anyone noticed that Georgia is practically missing from Google maps? There are only main cities. That's incorrect. The Super Hornet is informally referred to as the "Rhino" to distinguish it from earlier model "legacy" Hornets and prevents confusion in radio calls. This aids safe flight operations, since the catapult and arresting systems must be set differently for the heavier Super Hornet. So the Rhino nickname is not exclusive to the Foxtrot version of the Super Hornet but all versions of the Super Hornet.1 point

Ну так или иначе получается, что на скоростях 400-600, на которых Су-25 в основном крутит установившийся вираж, у него действительно есть превосходство над МиГ-29 с большим запасом топлива. + У Су-25 экономичность гораздо больше, чем у форсажирующего МиГа, даже если у Мига будет полный запас топлива, у Грача можно 1 тонну топлива сбавить, будет немалая прибавка. P.S. По продолжению данного спора у меня всё больше складывается мнение, что впрос "кто победит" - это скорее вопрос "веры". Нет практически никаких однозначных фактов (даже графики не могут раскрыть общую картину), даже мнения реальных лётчиков расходятся, так что каждый думает так, как считает нужным. Единственное, что могло бы однозначно поставить точку в данном споре - реальный бой Грача и МиГа, но ведь он был в Липецке, тем не менее, точку в споре это не поставило:doh:. P.P.S. Что немного задевает - почему за Грача проголосовало так мало человек! Это не справедливо!:) Совести у вас нет!:D1 point

So: "stats aside [...] but numbers show[...]" Holly Bias Batman!!! you being very selective along with falcon towards whats realistic and whats not, or whatever has been said and shown as evidence in this thread in such a way it seems only yourselves are the victims here. You are arguing over crumbs in a survey SIM where realism needs to be polished in many aspects as compared to a study SIM, from sensors, to missiles, or unavoidable network issues influencing proximity hits. If you had a realistic AMRAAM in game you would be crying alot more as AMRAAM should be the most lethal. Consider yourselves lucky. I think you need to come to terms with these facts.1 point

Зерол я никогда этого не отрицал и каждый оф вылет себе это твержу... а боты в ЛО2 ещё хуже нос в нос... я их на пол круге уже сбиваю что на штурме что на истрибителе...к тому же это не то что тренерует это только расслабляет.. вот и думаю а в онлайне меня на таком же пол круге так же. но всё же лучше тренироваться мне в ло1.12 там они гораааздо умнее в пушечном бою... вот я и хочу потренироваться в онлайне с вами а не в офе:) я понимаю можно играть сколько угодно и сбивать их миллионами но толку не будет.. бот не человек и не думаюет.. к таму же искусственный интелект в ГС2 подкачал на истрибителях.1 point

Кот летает в ЛО пару лет. При всем уважении, если ты его убьешь из 20 вылетов больше чем 5 раз я съем свой джой. Просто дело в том что эти 2 года - онлайн. Можно 10 лет летать офлайн и даже больше, но выйдя онлайн ты будешь удивляться тому что делают пилоты онлайн, это просто две разные вещи.1 point

Да... надо ей еще увеличить стартовую скорость в полтора раза, и раза в 2 дистанцию взрывателя и разброс осколков. Тогда может она до 50 процентов дотянет. ИМХО если считать статистику попадания ракет по статистике публичных серверов, то готов посоприть эффективность ракет ЛО1 была не хуже. Кому интересно могу рассказать почему.1 point

Хочу подчеркнуть что в данном случае использовалась информация по кол-ву попаданий (когда ракета повредила самолет противника) и кол-ву фатальных поражений (когда самолет противника был уничтожен). Yes, I am working on such a page. Though it isn't finished yet, here's a picture that says more than a thousand words: Shown here are the percentages of the weapons that killed (blue), hit (green) or missed (red) their target. At the right the number of weapons fired is shown. This data is compiled from the 3153 missiles that were fired on the 51st server since August 1st, 2010, leading to some 570 kills. The important number here is the ratio of kills/hits, which gives you the frequency of a missile killing its target. The higher this ratio the better the missile is. It also is not polluted by players emptying a full complement of missiles into thin air. You'll see that for the missiles that are discussed here the ratios are not that different. AIM-120B is highest at 66.0% (still small number statistics though), while the C is lowest at 58.6%. The ER is in the middle with 61.9%. Based on the numbers I would argue that no player will notice this difference.1 point

Ищите настройиках в модеме-роутере в LAN DHCP - отрубить можно. На сервре - обязательно назначить статический айпи (как и на своих компах, чтобы разные были, а шлюзом адрес модема-роутера с указанием ДНС). В полях NAT писать тот айпи. Правила можно разделить - написать оба но 1 TCP другое UDP, может Any не канает. Вообще - если модем не бридж, а сам получает все, то нахрен роутер, все прописывается в модеме. Если модем бридж - то уже прописки в роутере. Если роутер с русским PPTP то прписки в нем. DHCP вообще модно и не отклбчать - основное условие - сервер иметь должен постоянный айпи и шлюзами смотреть на роутер и иметь ip ДНС1 point

Ну при цепочке комп-роутер-модем нужно в роутере соответственно писать порты 10308 и ип адрес компа, а в модеме снова порты 10308 и ип адрес роутера. Почему не работает непонятно, но когда искал в гугле картинки для иллюстрации пробоса порта на твоей модели роутера там встречалось что у кого-то не работает.1 point

Pitbuilding Update - 02. september 2010 - Right Main Switch Panel Tonight I did some work on the Right Main Switch Panel.. Mainly because now that the Front Pedestal, and HOCAS is nearing completion (pics and video coming soon), I want to have some switches to flick on and off while I set up the IOCards. As you see I haven't decided on weather to just have the text backlighted, or if I should also mount the switches on a plate about 3-4mm behind the front plate, and let some light shine through arround the switches as well? .... yup..! It's fiddely and time consuming work.. Just a mock-up to see where the backlight cut-outs should be.. The switch covers will have a small magnet glued at the rear of them. This magnet will then trigger a reed switch telling the simulator that I have opened the switch cover. I know it may sound like a bit much, and that I can program the IOcard software to send both commands when I flick the switch. But I want it to work just right.. And it's really not that much extra work..:cry: The four way, and three way switches however.. I can't say I look forwards to another round of building those.. LMAO..1 point

I just wanted to point out a small inaccuracy with the shape of the rear blade antenna under the tail. On the A+ and C models the antenna was replaced for use with the AN/ARC-210 secure voice radio, even though not every aircraft has the radio installed. This antenna is a bit longer lengthwise (oh, and gray). You'll notice this in any photo of the C model. Hopefully, it's not too late to make a small change to the model. If so, oh well, I can live with it. After all, I'm going to be living in the cockpit. Otherwise the sim looks quite spectacular so far. Keep up the good work.1 point

Jeezuz what the hell man? Go to an airbase and listen to the sounds?? What is your problem besides trying to start a fight. Your posts on this matter are without any respect at all and seem to lack a general understanding of the complexity of the issue. The sound engine is not perfect, ED knows this, they're bright individuals. To insult the testers like you did in an earlier post and to continue with this is just lame. The science of sound is VERY EFFING complicated, so yeah we know what an airbase sounds like, but I've never seen the sounds of an airbase replicated inside a game. As far as REX, please...weather in a combat sim is interesting but it's by no means the crowning achievment. If you had NO weather in FSX...you would loose a good portion of what makes it interesting. There are no targets in FSX, no combat mission objectives in FSX. This thread really needs to stop comparing FSX to BS or LOCKON. They were built completely different from the ground up. These debates are fun when the logic is present and it's a battle of the witts. Oversimplicfications and calling out the flaws in a very complicated simulation isn't debating. Logic doesn't need defending, do a little research or grow your understanding on certain things before posting, because the mods and testers are defending common sense and actuality while some are arguing fiction and bull s*it.1 point

Yea that sim looks very neat, a little bit like the best of DCS and FSX combined, at the highest setting without any FPS issues. Definitely something you want to have in your garage :joystick: :D About the rotor stall, it was a very good lesson. It is very good to make that mistake in a simulator and not in reality ;) My conclusion about DCS Blackshark & real flying: BS helped me a lot flying this mi-8 sim well and I'm sure it is also a good training for any other helicopter, but I don't think you can fly any other helicopter without any mistakes as every aircraft has their own user manual.1 point
