  1. Доброго времени суток, любители авиа симуляторов и те, кто хоть что-то понимают в скриптах Lock On'а! Представляю Вашему вниманию следующую интересную информацию! Не далее как 15 минут назад (Ну а пока писал это тему - час назад), копавшись в папке Scripts\Database\Planes и подвешивая "вихри"на F-16A, обнаружил такой занимательный файлик - F-111F.lua Как выяснилось это ЛА с прописанными основными параметрами и даже подвесками вооружения. Ну хоть бери, да лети!!! Но, не тут то было - самолета в игре НЕТ (не то, что бы совсем, но не у одной из держав его в арсенале нема)... В db_weapons.lua можно наткнуться на даже не понятную то ли ракету, то ли АБСП BLU-107 Дюранталь, созданная специально для 111 (Спасибо WikiLea... Wikipedia): Не понятно, также почему этот самолет так и не был выпущен в массовое пользование создателями игры (то ли времени не хватило, то ли средств) Ну, и, собственно, к чему я это все! Так как максимум, что я умею создавать в лок оне, так это нелепые подвески вооружения, то попрошу Вас провести дальнейшее расследование, выяснить возможно ли вставить этот самолет в игру и по возможности совершить корыстное деяние, поставив на ноги этот обделенный вниманием разработчиков ЛА и выложить его на lockon.ru для общего пользования. Так же в этой теме мы можем собирать информацию по F-111F, про то как он не попал в игру и о его возможных братьях по несчастью и множества других факторов в военной авиации не вошедших в наш любимый симулятор (например вооружение на С-130, возможность сброса десанта или возможность по сети играть вдвоем на одном двухместном самолете) И КОНЕЧНО ЖЕ я понимаю, что все это сверх меры заоблачная фантастика, но, признайте, разве Вам самим в глубине души не хочется сделать из нашего всеми любимого авиа симулятора конфетку и добавить в него пару таких недостающих штрихов? Особенно когда дело наполовину сделано... точнее НЕ сделано ) Спасибо за внимание! Удачи )

  3. Personally, I see plenty of use for NOE flight. Anything bigger than an SA8 warrants it, if you ask me. Now, if SEAD has (or is in the process of) killing all those, then sure, keep high... but not too high. You need to be able to make it back down into the weeds in a hurry if a MiG or unexpected SA11 shows up. I find angels 15 is about as high as I want to go; any more than that and the missile will reach me before I reach the dirt. ...Which, of course, will still result in me reaching the dirt, just in a significantly more incindiary manner than desired. Personally, I have more issues with the SA6 and SA11 than anything else, and staying low is the way to go with them. You'll never out-altitude them, you'll never outrun them, and you'll never out-maneuver them. Even SA3 is pretty nasty in those regards, albeit much more vulnerable to countermeasures. So, you acquire them from outside their range, load them as a markpoint, and make your ingress masked by terrain, popping up only long enough to shoot. Mavericks are good, but prone to being shot down by more advanced SAM like SA15 or SA11. Guns work remarkably well. If it's in REAL rough terrain, Mk82 AIRs or CBUs work. I avoid the WCMD as the engagement takes too long and is harder to manage for snapshot engagements. Bombs wouldn't be my first choice, and I wouldn't try them against an SA15, but against an SA3, 6, or 11, if you take them by surprise with a real close-in pop-up out of terrain, they won't be able to traverse and fire fast enough. I actually vastly prefer the AIRs over the slicks for most targets just because you can deliver them with a much lower pop-up, much shorter run-in, and a lot less exposure to whatever radar-guided nasties might be in the area. As to MANPADS... well, I'd rather face a (relatively speaking) low-performance, low-speed, and puny (contact fuzed) warhead than a mach 3+, high performance, energy-to-spare, proximity fuzed SA11. Honestly, I've never had trouble evading SA18. I'm not sure why they keep popping up on the forums portrayed as such a scary, inevadable terminator of the skies. They almost never hit me, and when they do, almost never do truly serious damage. AAA? Well, unless you're dumb enough to fly straight (or unlucky enough to find yourself in the middle of a 4+ ZSU flak trap) they're not that scary. After all, the gun has to predict where you'll be several seconds from the time of firing. Once that bullet leaves the muzzle, it's going where it's going. Just don't be there when it gets there! But SA3, 6, or 11? The ONLY time I've survived those bastards is when I hid cowering behind a mountain. You just can't escape them any other way. *edit* Regarding finding targets from NOE being difficult in the A-10? Seriously? It's probably THE easiest airframe to do so from; that's part of why it was designed to fly slow. As long as you have a JTAC giving you a target grid to get you pointed in the right direction with a grid- or even better, with smoke- finding targets from NOE is EASY. Just fly your 30 degree offset approach to the pop-up point using the JTAC grid AS your target, and acquire the individual pinpoint target visually in the pop-up. You'll have 5-8 seconds between initiating your pop-up and rolling in; if the JTAC gave you a half competent grid and/ or mark, that's more than enough. *edit 2* also remember, A-10 tactics developed for fighting insurgents who have no anti-air weapons with a higher ceiling than a 23mm do not equal tactics for fighting a first-rate army with proper air defense. Likewise, A-10 tactics that worked in southern Iraq, where the most prominent terrain features are 20 meters tall do not equal tactics developed for fighting in western europe, where there are plenty of mountains, hills, and valleys. Next time you're whizzing about Georgia, note the mountains. They make great missile shields =D

  5. Greetings, I made the video below showing how to get the DCS A-10 on and ready to fight with an ambridged start up procedure. I figured with all the new people coming in a simple wy to manually start and prepare the aircraft for fighting would be a good video series to make. Video is on youtube at the link below.   8. Да, особенно радует когда МиГ-23 на предельном угле атаки на скорости 600, да ещё и набирает её... Жаль только что с Ф-18 тоже самое, на серверах, где он стоит как-то не по себе встретиться будет с такой машиной в БВБ.

  10. For better wiser I suggest you download the mod again because it been updated but do it a few Hrs after this message because one more bug has appeared and I'm solving it now.

  11. РП если нужен, можно реализовать как отдельный слот. Миссиокреатор(во слово получилось) например, создаёт наравне с самолётами за определённую сторону такой вид оружия как РП, в полномочия которого входит видение карты с самолётами и наземкой своей стороны(в опциях установка его полномочий). И круто совсем, если бы можно было за РП ставить бота или игрока(клиента)

  15. О РЭБ. Если подобные костыли возможны. Реализовать вокруг помехопостановщика сферу скажем диаметром метров 30, при входе в которую любой другой ЛА также переходит в "режим" включенной помехи, т.е исчезает, но помеховый строб от него не отображается. Тогда станет возможным организовывать групповое прикрытие не оснащенных СПП ЛА, и сокрытие реальной численности группы. И прикрутить отображение обновления строба помех на прицеле по мере обзора, а ни как сейчас 100 раз в секунду.

  17. Cool. I'm making a mission now ... Got 8 Hogs on coldstart (you will need to know how to start it up) and 4 in air for those nuggets really new to the sim. Will keep the difficulty low (no JTAC) until everyone gets up to speed in the Hog, so if you are new don't be afraid of looking like an egg, au! just jump on in and people will show you the ropes (although you should be able to do takeoff and landings and know the basic cockpit layout). Will make mission fairly straightforward for now. An adaptation of my Kodori Gorge mission for VNAO (based on a mixture of events from 1991 and 2008 Georgian/Abkhazian civil war). Threats are not too hard but there is some mountain flying for those that like it - although you can also linger in the stratosphere and drop PGM (yawn) too :) Will post a link to the mission briefing in this thread, so you have time to do basic flight planning (if you enjoy it like me), although no planning is required (just follow the waypoints). What time is convenient for you fellas? Probably need 30 mins to get everyone squared away with comms and mission briefed. Then 30-70 mins flight time (depending on how many target groups to slam), time for fragging stuff, and a little time for debriefing. I guess around 2 hours for those that can stick around for the whole kaboodle. Default loadouts are mostly Mavericks, Mk-82 and rockets (easier for nuggets). You can of course change loadout for precision guided munitions (PGM) if you are landed or on coldstart. So, shall we say: * briefing at 2011-06-02 19:00 +12 [NZDT] => 2011-06-02 07:00 Z in UTC, and * takeoff time (T+0) at 2011-06-02 19:30 +12 NZDT This timing is designed so you don't miss the news, but you get going while your missus is distracted watching Shortland Street :) nb. This will be an open mission, but preference will be given to players from NZ and Australia - I reserve the right to ask players further away to leave if we have no slots left for locals (unlikely, but it could happen). No pings over 300 ms unless the server is pretty empty.

  20. Hi, I am no expert but I think I know where your problem lies. You have your second monitor on the left, which is fine for windows. It is not, however, fine for DCS. The program insists that the upper left corner of your main display be 0,0. Therefore, as far as the sim is concerned, nothing exists to the left. I actually have the same setup (even the screen size and res). I wanted my second screen on the left as well but...you know... I moved it to the bottom in Windows. Now the left side of each monitor is at x=0 and the top left corner of my 22" is at 0,1440. I have my MFDs shoved into the top left and right corners of my 22". The downside is getting used to having it there in Windows all the time or moving it each time you want to fire up DCS. I leave mine there but the Taskbar is a pain in the ass to grab and I don't like it on the side so I live with it. Here is what is in my lua file. Edit: This is in DCS A-10 so hopefully the same holds true for BS.

  21. EEEK! The MFCD panel is growing up. Got home one day and my little desktop panel seems to have grown a bit! :smilewink: Something was added to it on all four sides of the basic rectangle shape. Decided I needed flood lighting for the Keypad & new AHCP switch panel, so decided I might as well make a reasonable copy of the instrument panel glare shield. The green LED flood lighting is brighter than it shows in the picture, used a flash for this picture. The LED lighting does a good job at lighting the keypad and the ACHP panel, it can also be dimmed to taste. Just got done hooking up the AHCP switch panel thru a BU0836 that I use for the rudder axes, thought I might as well use the buttons functions on that board too. Almost regretted doing it that way, built a button matrix breakout board and it started out as the "The Matrix from HELL" !!! All sorted now. My breakout board was fine, it was the matrix challenged virgin (referring to the lack of button matrix experience) that was the cause of most of the problem. :doh: All switches work on the glare shield, Fire handles, Fire Bottle, Stores Jettison. At the left is the LDG Gear lever which will also be functional (no need to pull it out to cycle LDG Gear, felt it would be too much work and pulling on the LDG Gear handle might risk pulling the panel off the desktop). The Anti-Skid and LDG/Taxi Light switch will be added to the left wing panel above the LDG Gear handle. More later. :pilotfly:

  22. If they do FC3 or add another flyable, I'll be happy either way. This is only going to make them more money in the long run. DCS is great, but it takes a while to make one aircraft. Making patches for FC is going to keep a lot of people interested.

  23. Mister T, To access the "Load Profile" or "Save Profile" buttons you must select a setting under the particular control input. For example, I have a Hotas Wartog, so in the control options screen I will see the Hotas joystick and Hotas throttle. If I wish to save the Hotas Joystick profile I click in any box under the Joystick column then click "Save Profile"....I hope that makes it a little clearer?

It ain't perfect but you can make do, as in the VNAO mod: http://www.virtualnavairops.com/forum/vultures-row-general-discussion/2578-how-do-i-join-vnao.html Sure, it has its limitations, but so do all the FC2 aircraft (which are not up to the extremely high standards of DCS). He's a US Navy trainee aviator and currently flies the T-45 Goshawk for real. He has been selected to fly the Hornet so with transition to that soon. He's livin' the dream :) pps: If ED do make a FC3 I'll personally be willing to pay for it. This is such a great game and the combined arms aspects (FC2 works with Ka-50, and hopefully one day with A-10C is a great strength of the series).

  27. Если симулятор, содержащий один самолёт, бдет стоить больше 10 евро, я его покупать не буду. Мне достаточно того, что я имею за цену не более 10 евро за диск. Это все Мелкомягкие симуляторы с 90-х годов, это все ЛуукОны, это ЧА, и все Илы, включая БоБ за 9.56 евро. Цена, которая ныне заявлена, практически превышает все мои лицензии вместе взятые. И за что мне платить? Если те, хто продают продукт DCS не скорректируют свою ценовую политику, то вряд ли кто либо в СНГ купит их продукт. Как бэ господам девелоперам надо подумать.

  28. This is very true and everyone in their car does the same thing; since you're focused at a depth level that is not where the windshield is, imperfections in the glass get muted from your view. It takes a lot of imperfections (such as quite a bit of rain) before you need to do something to overcome the imperfections from obscuring your vision (forcing your focus level to be at windshield depth). You poor souls who are still stuck with 2D monitors lose this, and imperfections in the glass are as in-your-face no matter whether you're looking directly at it, or at the tank a mile away where AT MOST the scratch in the glass would impair the vision to the tank for ONE eyeball, not both, and since it's not the point of focus, the picture your brain is given will barely be able to perceive the fault.

  29. В Steam, за $60. В СНГ игра видимо не выйдет никогда, Eagle Dynamics забили на родной рынок. Я их понимаю, таких доходов как с продаж в США в СНГ никогда не будет. Смысл тогда мучатся с локализацией? Пипл и так схавает, будет летать со словариками. Для меня лично английский не проблема, это даже лучше - большее погружение в атмосферу. Но $60 для рядового гражданина РФ это много. На такие деньги можно две недели икрой питаться :D Будет стоить хотя-бы $20, нормальная цена для игры AAA, - обязательно куплю. $60 за игру, это даже по меркам США, слегка многовато. Впрочем я думаю цену на международном рынке устанавливает не Eagle Dynamics, а их партнеры/владельцы - The Fighter Collection, или как там они называются.
