I don't consider myself a newbie to flight sims, it's been my choice of game type ever since Falcon 3.0. Even though DCS A10C is arguably the best flight sim ever produced and even though theres a wealth of information to read on the forums and via other media, I still think that there should be more help for new comers. I'd like to see more hints and on screen help for those that need it, which can be turned off easily from within options: 1. When ATC says you are cleared to Taxi to runway XX, a FSX style dotted line would help guide them to the right position. I have seen so many near misses and collisions because people are taking off from the wrong end of the runway. 2. When landing, some kind of inflight 'hologram' project at the correct side of the runway, indicating the correct end to land on. EF2000 had this ability and it was great. This can be switched off in options obviously. Or alternatively, ATC reminding the player that they are approaching from the wrong direction. At the moment they dont seem to care. 3. More choice over labels. Perhaps the following combinations: Friendly Aircraft Only, Friendly Ground Units Only, Enemy Aircraft Only, Enemy Ground Units Only, Wingmen Only, All. 4. When using the Auto Start up procedure, automatically move the view to the area that is being 'switched on' and highlight the switches so the user can learn. 5. A Tutor mode/First Person View. A player can allow another player to view his/her cockpit if they are having problems so to help guide them through procedures. I appreciate the sim is quite complex and theres a lot to learn, but I still think we could do more to help the newcomer.

So you know where the pins go but did you check the Battery Indicator pin to see if it was exposed? No matter what if the battery pin is exposed (some have been modified to just an indicator) the seat is hot, pins installed or not. Glad a crew chief was present, Security Forces is not authorized to go up to a jet and open it up, they aren't qualified. All they are qualified to do is sit in a car (or truck) and watch them to make sure no one steals them. I'm sure you know this but remember a live jet is not a toy. A lot can (and will) go wrong, people are hurt on the line every day, people who have worked it for years. And good luck starting the jet...did you have external air and power applied? Not in the hanger you didn't (that and a crew chief, a good one always) wouldn't let a civilian in the pit with those items hooked up and running. Sorry if I sound like an a*s but I don't take actions on the flight line lightly, seen to many people, experienced people, brain dumb and get majorly injured. And if you got hurt it would be on the cop and crew chief not you. Their careers would be over. Honestly they shouldn’t have let you sit in the jet. Even maintainers aren’t authorized (technically) to sit in the pit until they’ve gone through EGRESS training.

If you want to get your abris in english, then... 1. Open \Ka-50\Scripts\Aircrafts\_Common\Cockpit\localizer.lua with notepad++ 2. Edit the first line: country = "EN" if LockOn_Options.cockpit_language == "russian" then country = "EN" 3. Save & close. Then, select russian cockpit and you have your ABRIS in english. +1 :) Nice pictures. 400mm = immpressive range. But why they're so low resolution? Some photos aren't good enough mainly because of the low res. Could you upload bigger ones (ground pictures) please?
