Once we get all the info we can all make a rational choice about if "we" think its worth it. I certanly look forward to clips and demo's that showcase what this mod does and will not hesitate to invest in it if I like it.. edit: oh and it wont surprise me this time if I get more negative rep for supporting a payware openly on the forum edit2: Diveplane, Will your sound mod be available in an enhanced format for those of us running a "buttkicker"? you may want to look again. the blades have some dust on them, but it is NOT clogged with dust. I clean my computers monthly with canned air. I'm not wiping down the individual fan blades for fear of damaging something. Please don't post something negative if you don't look twice first. If you expand the pictures you'll see very clear gaps between each blade. I don't BS people. These are used, they work great, but they are used. I take care of my gear. Thanks2 points

I really do hope this doesn't turn into a ranting flaming cesspool of disgrace like the previous posts on this matter... Having that said, I seriously don't understand the negativism when a user decides to release his work, which cost him hours and hours of effort and dedication, by getting money for it. It's his work, it's his time. By no means he needs to release it for free. If you don't like, simply don't buy it. When you purchased a DCS sim, by no means did you get coupons that granted you free mods and extra content, so I can't figure the ranting that usually arises when people decide they want to sell their work. If lots of people have the desire to offer up their selves for free, it's their problem and their problem alone. I, for example, am subtitling a 2 hour and 47 minute-long Noam Chomsky documentary into my native language for a great friend of mine. It's a gift I want to give this person. The work alone will take around 2 months, maybe more, and it could be easily sold for around 5,000 dollars. It's my decision to give it as a gift, for the things this person has already done to me, but that does not mean my work is available for free in the market. My honest opinion is, if your work is good enough, and it's charged at a reasonable price, people will pay for it, otherwise it'll be lost in oblivion. Well, peter, I've looked at that mixer about 50 thousand times and Black Shark wasn't even showing up, but your post got me curious about it. I had to open the mixer, launch the game, launch a mission, go back to the mixer control panel and that caused Black Shark to show up on the mixer and I instantly got sound. Didn't even have to move the slider. Pretty weird, but whatever works, right. Thanks for your help, Peter. You are an invaluable source of information and a true asset to this community.1 point

Интеллектуальные возможности Синие тоже сразу не получили... Или вы собирайтесь дать нашлемку + AIM-9X Ф-15ому в ГС3? - потому что думаю что все кто читает этот форум и летает в мультплеере знает какая убервафля является ракета 120Б и С в ГС2, я бы сказал на ровне с убервафлей Р-27ЭТ из ГС1. Можно вести целые дебаты по поводу уровня интеллектуальности систем ОЛС + РЛС + Нашлемки + Р-73 на самолётах отсталых варваров Красных 80х. Пассивные ракеты тоже имеют некоторые преимущества над Активными и то что сейчас происходит в игре это больше ваш взгляд, так как не раз уже обсуждали что были приняты решения которые далеки от реальности но из за ограничений движка их пришлось делать. Введение дистанционных взрывателей и их баги в сетевом коде этому пример.1 point

Сетевым миссиоделам, которые будут делать миссии с ограничением ресурсов, на заметку: Обнаружил в википедии статистику по производству АИМ-120 с 87-го по 2010-й. Для ВВС США было произведено около 8000 ракет. В составе ВВС США сейчас числится 2158 истребителей (включая национальную гвардию и резерв). Итого 3,7 АИМ-120 всех модификаций на самолёт. Модификации С и D составляют из этого числа меньшую часть. Если бы маневренность сегодня ничего не значила, в самолётах 5-го поколения ставку сделали бы на скорость и высотность, и истребителем 5-го поколения был бы не Раптор с УВТ, а самолёт вроде A-12/SR-71.1 point

X-Pilot, как это не странно, но дым самый большой тормоз в этом симуляторе. Вспомним, какие были шикарные дымы и огонь от пушки Кабана в первых бетта версиях, но фпс просто умирал.1 point

Доброго времени суток! Поздравляю всех вирпилов и любителей авиации с наступающим 23.02.12!!! К этому празднику я подготовил небольшей клип. Жаль что ютуб подпортил качество, в данный момент делаю клип с моделями СУшек 3GO а так же Combatace. Всем приятного просмотра и попутного ветра! ;)1 point

That's true. I'm very new here but after flying and using the A10 i really was impressed about the detail you put into this machine and the overall game. I haven't followed every improvement on A-10 but i really hope you make a dynamic campaign similar to Falcon 4.0. I still play FreeFalcon and BMS. Those are modded versions of Falcon 4.0 and the work on them is impressive. Imho the simulated aircraft would come even more to life if you have a fully dynamic capaign. It's one side of the coin to fully simulate an aircraft and the other to also use it under "near" real life conditions over an area where situations can change permanently and where you have countless units on both sides. The interessting thing about the dynamic campaign from Falcon was that you couldn't be everywhere at the same time, you had limited resources in the air and you had fight for survival if enemy squadrons crossed your path. There was no hand holding like in most linear games. I also never seen any other game besides falcon where you had mission to transfer your squadron to a frontline base. Also in no game up til now i had the feeling that i'm in the middle of a big war. And i have the impression that your wonderfull simulated aircraft could show their full beauty and potential in a dynamic ever changing campaign. As a proposal it would be really fantasic to have different flavoured theaters like WWII era and Modern Day era. Wouldn't it be funny to fly an A-10 or F16 in a WWII scenario or the Mustang in modern day combat? If you could choose what aircraft to fly and choose it's armament in such environment...that would be really be a dream come true. Or atleast the first game after over a decade to have fully simulated aircraft and dynamic campaigns....priceless ;)1 point

Главное, что бы ландшафт хоть немного соответствовал. На картах, не хватает рек, морских портов, в том месте, где они действительно должны быть. На местах, где в действительности находятся жилые постройки и проходили бои, сплошные нефтебазы и подъёмные краны. Другой кости не нашли разрабы, которой можно было бы пиплу рот заткнуть? Вместо улиц реки какие то текут. Корабли стоят в десятках километров от портовых стоянок. А для возможностей миссиоделов, вообще позабыли. Что бы поставить объект на своё место, нужно раз двадцать ткнуть на кнопку "полёт", что бы посмотреть, правильно ли установлен юнит. Ни холмов, ни высот не обозначено. Как для детского сада мозайка.Физику самолётов смоделировали и на этом силы иссякли. В ушах зазвенел звон монет! И ещё, касаемо дымов.... Когда у нас горел БМП на перекрёстке, его видно было из Н. Афона. А это, по меньшей мере 22 км. В симуляторе же, не успеешь в вираж войти и дымок как от потушенной спички. На перекрёстке у нас, бензовоз с вертолёта накрыли(видимо по ошибке). Два дня горел. Так чёрного дыму, до небес было..... Горели заправки, автопарки, свалки и т.д. Вот где для штурмовиков ориентир был!!! А в симе что? Только от объекта отошёл на 3-5 км и тонкая струйка дыма. Тонкая, как струйка у отошедшего в мир иной!1 point

I dont think the missions are too hard. Its just hard to find out what it is thats exactly expected when you do a mission. You cant get around the triggers because when you make the margins bigger somebody can pass by doing any random maneuver. It might help if you make the orders more detailed (e.g. with the efato approach you could say something like make an safe apporoach from the sea), it would also help if you would include more detailed diagrams or a link to the source of the procedure information so that people can also have a feeling that they are doing the exact right thing. These are just some ideas to make it less stressful for people to pass. It is very time consuming to have to restart etc the plane every time if you have to find out by trial and error. I hope this will help you in making future missions, atm I am enjoying your missions very much but find them a bit too frustrating at times. I will definitely buy future missions If they are a little less frustrating. Good luck1 point

The airshow I mentioned was held at a civilian airport with a 10,900ft runway but no barrier. Wright-Patterson AFB which is 5 miles away has a 12,600ft runway with BAK-12's on each end. Most DoD assets would participate (i.e. land at Dayton) despite the lack of a barrier. The F-117, on the other hand, would only land if a temporary/mobile barrier was installed. Thus, the airshow always had WPAFB come out and install a barrier. If I recall correctly, the only aircraft that specifically REQUIRED a barrier to be installed was the F-117.1 point

Thanks Pittbull for putting together your results! @Gunnergolly This is not my config tool !! The culprit lies in your "destRect line of [Head1] Have a look at this again: This is your line that causes that the exports appear at the x0/y0 coordinate of Head1: destRect=0,0,1154,1080 but it must look like this to shift it to the right, where you want it to appear: destRect=767,0,1154,1080. But this doesn't will help to higher your FPS much. By only "cutting out" and teleport this part of the overall DCS render your card still will have to render te 1920x2130 beforehand ! You have to optimize first your DCS render to reduce the workload for the card - just because you are not "seeing" this black render at your monitor - it is still in the backbuffer of your GPU !! Have a look at this to realize what your card have to do - before SoftTH moves this part for the second monitor: Have a look at your current render: So you first have to edit your "MonitorSetup".lua and options.lua to get rid of this big chunk of unused render-area. This is how a optimized DCS-render would look in your case: And Than you have to rewrite a SoftTHconfig. I know that creating this new "MonitorSetup".lua can be tricky. Tip: Have a pencil and paper near you and use a painting-program with a pixel-ruler >>> - because you need a Desktop-area of 2754x1050 to check the edits - so first arrange your monitors side by side and start DCS windowed to be able to see what you are doing. So it's not a trial and error any more! Once all is in place - like on the picture above - than utilize SoftTh. I hope I pushed you now into the right direction and I wish you a happy editing! And keep in mind >>> SoftTH is donation-ware! ;) I suggest 1$ for each frame you gained using SoftTH instead of running DCS windowed. (Much,much cheaper than buying a new GPU!)1 point

Hello, Mauser55. Thank you for thoose kind words...I think i have found the poroblem with my computer. It seems that some outdated drivers in my operating system was causing the problem. After updating thoose everything is working again...Lets hope it stays that way. If the problem does not return i will have mission 3 and updated versions of mission 1 and 2 (reported bugs fixed and some other improvments made) uploaded here during the weekend or sometime next week.1 point
