"Перевод": Чтобы вам было понятно, в записи, которую я опубликовал в ветке "мастерство воздушного боя", мне удалось перехитрить ИИ, начав бой с меньшей энергией (скорость была 200 миль в час когда сходились) из-за выключения двигателя в начале задания, спикировав ниже и встав в вираж, чтобы уровнять энергии. После непродолжительного маневрирования на виражах, ИИ, в итоге, решил перевести бой на вертикали, имея небольшое приемущество, но мне удалось уравновесить его аккуратным контролем перегрузки в нижней и верхней точках. А именно: снижайте перегрузку на начальных 45 градусах после прохождения нижней точки после пикирования, позволяя таким образом нарастить скорость, разгружая крыло, о чём, судя по всему, ИИ не подозревает. Та же хитрость в верхней точке, вместо того, чтобы доворачивать на врага дёргая ручку. Смысл этогого -- преследование противника с отставанием и одновременный незначительный набор скорости. В итоге, вы получаете достаточно энергии, чтобы держать его под прицелом. Из дуэльного задания Wags'а, с "обалденными" (таки поправил прим. тов.) навыками ИИ. Я не проверил состояние топлива. Дело в том, что ИИ возможно победить, хотя, я-таки соглашусь, с их невероятной способностью сохранять энергию. Если вес боеприпасов смоделирован неправильно, это, определённо, объясняет многое, но чтобы победить, совершенно необязательно иметь равные шансы. Сохраняйте энергию, и пользуйтесь ей как и когда только возможно. Если вы проигрываете, или уже проиграли позицию, не бойтесь решительных маневров, чтобы выровнять ситуацию. Так же, удерживание оборотов винта на уровне 3000 об./мин. не всегда является лучшим решением. Если приборная скорость большая, вы получите большее ускорение и эффективность в стремительном пике, уменьшив обороты пропеллера. Устанавливайте 3000 об./мин. начиная набор высоты, уменьшайте их до 2700 (или подходящих в данный момент) находясь в пике. Также, есть и другие техники, которые могут помочь в бою на вертикалях, особенно выход из плоскости. Не следует возвращаться к бою на виражах, потому что тогда вы просто отдаёте ИИ бесплатную энергию, но МОЖНО выйти из плоскости другим способом. Представьте вертикальный вираж разворота ИИ сверху-вниз, а затем представьте свой, путь которого бы пересекался с вражеским. Выход из плоскости, в этом случае, -- это вращение плоскости вашего маневра вокруг вертикальной оси (по или против часовой стрелки если смотреть сверху-вниз). Как только вы окажетесь вне плоскости маневра противника, можно взять ручку на себя или отдать её от себя таким образом, чтобы изменить момент времени вашего прибытия в верхнюю точку вертикального манёвра относительно такового противника. И вы сможете, в конце концов, заставить его пролететь через ось вашего оружия. Если аккуратно анализировать геометрию боя, можно обнаружить много забавного.   3. Sorry guys, I'll start first by saying if this post offends anyone then apologies, but it's something I feel I need to say. Quite frankly I'm shocked by some of the posts that are being directed at Ed on here. These Guys and Gals have been working hard, to bring us a fantastic Sim world. Not only have they given time and effort to provide us with one of the best helicopter sims we have ever seen on a home pc. They then turned Round and gave us the best sim I've ever see, the wonderful A10 Warthog. Now not only are they spending time and effort to produce us yet another amazing aircraft, yet to be announced, but we do know it's coming. But not only that, they have also given us a stunning P51 and turned round and made a true effort, to finally bring us one complete world, to allow us to fly all the different aircraft together. Not to mention, the ground units they also producing while all this is going on. But how do some of us at home thank them. No thanks no well done, No we turn round and complain that the FREE aircraft provided dosnt have a clickable cockpit, or Moan because they can't read our minds and pull our dream aircraft out of a hat. Or even moan about them wasting their time producing ww2 aircraft when we have no idea what the long term plan or even resources are. Is it just me, who thinks we should be greatful for whatever turns up. Producers are going away from the pc as it is. We have precious few developers happy to provide us with stunning sims as I'm sure theres not that much money in it. Most places just want a quick buck so just push out tried and tested games. Here we have a producer who not only can produce some of the best sims we have ever seen. They are one of the best teams to communicate with their fans, rather than ignore the forums. So come on guys and gals, while I appreciate those that are vocal in their moaning are in the minority here. I really don't think we have anything to moan about. We need to see just how lucky we are in the way we are treated by Ed. They are like I said one of the best customer focused teams out there. So please rather than complain that our FREE aircraft isn't 3D or your favourite aircraft isn't being produced or even if you don't want to fly aircraft from a certain time frame. Instead of biting the hand that feeds you, take a step back and see what the potential is. If you don't like a said module, well no one is forcing you to buy it. However if you want to support Ed then, buy it and treat the cost as an investment. Hell I don't think I've flown 60% of the aircraft I've bought for ROF. But I love the potential so I invest in the company. Just the same way I do for Ed. So Ed from me, may I say a Hugh thanks to the entire team, and please keep up the great work, although it may not seem it at times. It is appreciated.   4. В военной авиации его (РСБН) используют. ПРМГ также. Я и задавал вопрос для того чтобы понять пути развития этого проекта, но так как отечественных ЛА не планируется в ЕД, или пока не найдется команда, которая сделает то что мне надо, пройду мимо. Су-24, 25 пользуются РСБН.

  8. The DCS P-51D is a late model block/revision 25 or 30, at a hunch I would say ED chose this late version as it allowed them to include HVARs as part of the weopons aresenal. Most of the skins included with the sim are for ealier revisions and are slightly ahistorical. Most people wouldn't be aware of this minor issue so it's not a problem to be honest (IMHO). The antenna under the nose was a PTO Iwo Jima mod and was PTO only.   14. Since the Su-25T is free in DCS World, is there any chance that FC3 will bring a clickable 3d cockpit for the Toad? It's something many fans of the plane have been waiting for a king time.

  16. I dont want to scream"epic fail", but I feel the su-25 2d cockpit is very sad. In a world that is moving to all 3d crap, how do you justify doing that. To start things, I'd like to say that I've owed dcs-bs since the begining. I love it alot, even though its a rusian piece of shit, the game is awesome. But with the dcs world, I cant believe that you have a 2d non clickable cockpit. I kinda get the fact that building a 3d clickable cockpit for a aircraft you have had ingame for many years is kinda backtracking. But, HOLY CRIST, even falcon4 bms has dropped the 2d shit. Listen, its hard enough to learn the aircraft cuz of how realalistic you guys are making them. But to have to learn that ctrl/alt/shft R turns on the radar I just spent 10 hours to learn how to use is just to much. Clickable cockpits are the way of the future (and the way of the past). Plz get your shit together and stop with crap like that. The only reason most ppl move to DCS sims is the fact that your last couple of games have been top of the line. But if you think that by giving a free aircraft with old crappy non clickable cockpits is going to get you any customers. I will say flat out, "I think your wrong". Now i understand that its just a filler ac, and its free. But what the hell. I play dcs bs for the clickability. I dont have to learn the instruments and the keybinding, just the instruments. Thats why dcs a-10 was such a hit. Ppl moved from Lomac fc2 to the same ac, but without all the unnessesary crap cuz you when all out on the playablility (clickable cockpits). I know I come off very strong.I would like to say I am a faithful fan. But slimming down the ac (fc2 no longer compatible with a-10 and bs) and releasing more 2d crap (in a 3d world) is just going the wrong way. I hope you have grand plans for the future. I cant wait to move from BS2 to DCS World in my BS. But till then a 2d su-25 pit that I have to memorize 300 keybinds for cuz you dont want to go all out,...well, I'm just not going to do it....I dont think that your plans....I think you just did it to give new ppl something to do.....but...idk.... just venting my opinion...not trying to talk to much trash, just hate 2d pits, if I wanted that I would go play....idk...everyone are doing 3d pits nowofdays....even falcon4 has full clickable 3d pits with the BMS addon.... Having said all that plz keep up the hard work, the DCS series is the best combat sim to date (was alot better when all the planes from FC2 were included in the MP compatibility). And plz make a AH-1 or AH-64 game for us helo sim guys. The KA-50 is a piece of crap (kinda what makes the game fun). But us good ol' american boy cant wait for the day we get a DCS chopper. Hell even a cobra with tow missiles would kick the hell out of a ka-50.

For the record, in the track file I posted in the "show me your dogfighting skills" thread, I was able to outmaneuver the AI after starting from a lower energy state (only 200 mph at the merge) due to engine cut out at mission start, by forcing a dive to low altitude and horizontal turns to equalize energy. After some messing around in the horizontal for a while, the AI eventually took it back into the vertical, and he had a slight advantage, but I was able to neutralize it by carefully controlling my G loading at the bottom and at the top of the loop. Namely, relax G as you come around the initial 45 degree pull-up from the dive, allowing speed to build by wing unloading, which the AI does not seem to know how to do. Do the same over the top, rather than trying to yank the nose down on him. The effect is basically flying lag pursuit on the bandit while carrying a little more speed. You eventually win enough energy for your guns to cover him from time to time. This is from Wags' 1v1 mission, with the AI set on High. I haven't checked the fuel states. The point is, it is possible to beat them, although I do agree they have an incredible ability to hold energy. If their ammo weight isn't modeled correctly, that definitely explains it, but you don't need equal conditions to win. Fly to conserve energy, and gain it whenever and however you can. If you are losing or have already lost position, don't be afraid to make a drastic change to re-equalize the situation. Also, locking your prop lever at 3000 rpm isn't always the best thing to do. If your IAS is high, you'll get better acceleration and efficiency in a fast dive by reducing prop speed. Go to 3000 as you start to climb, reduce to 2700 (or whatever is appropriate) as you come well into a dive. There are other techniques to help you in the vertical as well, especially going out of plane. You can't tip back towards the horizontal because then you're just giving the AI free energy, but you CAN go out of plane in a different way. Imagine the AI's turn circle from a top-down view, and then imagine yours overlapping his. Out of plane in this case, is just rotating your turn circle around the vertical axis (clockwise or counter-clockwise from the top-down view). Once you're out of plane, you can vary your pull-ups and pull-downs to change the timing of your arrival at the top of the loop relative to the AI's, and you can eventually make him fly through your guns. There's lots of fun things you can do with careful examination of the geometry of the fight. Cheers!
