  1. I can't believe I had gone a week without noticing this! Allows you to rearm to a customized payload within the mission. Now only if we could choose a livery and tail number as we join a server... :D

  3. No, nobody's "turning on" Photoshop, and they are not "trolls." They are a) following the guidelines for this thread b) interested in seeing how the simulator looks, not how Photoshop looks.

  5. Will there be the edTerrainMax Plugin to the public? There are certainly enough talents that could work on other maps for DCSW. It is time...

  8. I would have to agree that much (especially propwash) does not yet appear to be modelled. That's the only thing that would explain the stick forward controllability of the plane. I've never flown a high performance classic fighter but I have flown some short coupled relatively unstable tailwheel planes. All responded quickly and predictably to either bursts of power or a small amount of differential braking.

  11. I managed to get it working. Sorta. I'm having major joystick issues. However the key assignments and axes are working. Here's a very quick and dirty how to do it. Download this mod ---->>>http://www.lockonfiles.com/index.php/files/file/1548-efa-mod-2.0b-basic/ Inside this mod, go to Config\Input\Aircrafts Select the aircraft you want to fly and copy the files. \Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\Config\Input\Aircrafts <<-- Paste File here. And C:\Users\<your user here\Saved Games\DCS\Config\Input <<<--- Paste the file in here. It will show up in your options screen now. This is how I got extra aircraft to configure controls Under Windows 7, 64bit. I do not know if it will be different for other operating systems. I'm working out the joystick issues and ill post back later. I need to sleep tonight. Good Luck I would like to thank the eFA mod team for there work. It was my inspiration.

  12. Why are you playing the demo? Come and get scammed like the rest of us. I didnt buy this game to experience the flight model of Arma 3, I thought it was a stand alone commercial helicopter sim, the 'flashbacks' to his brothers military history confuse the game even more. What about a call about a high speed car chase through seattle, using FLiR to track and guide the cops in? Ferrying search and rescue to a mountain and assisting search, flying people to Oil Rigs in crap weather, transporting car crash people to hospital, rescuing people from flooded rivers. Wait, I would much rather show a billionaire a few golf courses whilst he talks rudely at me. Pffft - I obviously missed the point, or was i missold. Hurry up on ARMA3 please.

  15. Great work Tom! Quick question: Which arguments are used for the meatball in your model? I noticed in these screenshots that your meatball was green. http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/690/screen111211141615.jpg/ http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/818/screen111211190840.jpg/ The "ball" itself should be orange, and the horizontal "datum" lights should be green. Also, noticed that there was a "red meatball" at the top of the center column here: The red ball only appears at the bottom of the column when you are too low. Here's a picture of the various lights: Here are all the possible indications: Hope that helps!

  16. Here's one to keep you on your toes :) Although it is much more difficult than we actually thought, we are facing the challenges head on, and we are getting better and better at it. We have started flying loops and tight turns, and we will now slowly progress to perform barrel rolls and our most difficult maneuver, the cuban. Keep in touch with our facebook page for more updates!

  17. Hello and thanks for your answers, well I would say that would be fine as well as the Aermacchi MB-346, but the discussion is the feasibility of having a model airplane in all its functions, two-seat multiplayer and the ability to have two pilots (instructor and student) with the ability to replace the controls, any time you deem appropriate. I think this is the essence for us simmers. Nik

  19. Could be L-39...for a start. Nothing secret about this one anymore, hence there should be plenty of info on it. From my point of view, that would be one of the best candidates for the first two seater attempt. Personally, I'm very big fan of Yak-130... :P

  21. The OP has explained this effect so well that I hesitate to doubt him. I can only say that I have never noticed this behavior in gyro equipped plane before. Having said that, the oldest instrument equipped airplane I have ever flown was a 1965 Beechcraft Baron. It had a black-on-black AI and so LOOKED like the horizon in the P-51 but perhaps it functioned differently. What it definitely did not do was the behavior described above. We commonly taught steep turns with 45-60 degrees of bank and a hard reversal on the original heading after 360 degrees of turn. The AI was always solid. And the reason we do racetrack patterns is because there is no way to circle along a fixed course. Edit: I think, Fred, that you are stating that one must be in a sustained constant turn for a very long time before the gyro "corrects" itself in this manner. Something that a pilot flying on instruments would never do since there is never a need to turn past 270 degrees. If true that is quite something to learn after holding a CFII for 25 years.
