  1. As mentioned in the newsletter, it will have the more traditional ship weaponry (gun, CIWS, SAM launcher, FCRs) available at release since DCS currently doesn't really support ASW. But I believe in solid maintaining and updating of assets, to benefit from added functionality in the core platform. So you never know what'll happen in the future. Thanks, I have it documented and I'll take a look. Please check the FAQ in the forum section of the DCS core Currenthill Assets Pack: Both files are in the database\vehicles folder in the Russian asset pack folder structure. No need to rename anything, just overwrite them to replace. Please check the FAQ for more information about the DCS core CH Assets Pack: Q2: Will all the assets from the Currenthill mod packs be added to DCS? A2: No. The library of new core assets are based off of the inventory of the Currenthill mod packs, but each asset are carefully chosen to be added to DCS. Each new core asset are implemented mostly from scratch to uphold a specific consistent standard of things like mesh and textures quality, animations, FLIR textures, LODs, destroyed models etc. Q6: Are the new core assets the same assets as in the Currenthill mod packs? A6: No. And with the Tiger UHT as example, there doesn't even need to be an original mod pack asset for it to be added as a DCS core asset. So there is a loose connection between the mod packs, nothing more. So the mod packs are definitely being updated. I try to maintain the assets in the mod packs so they keep working with new DCS updates. I also add new assets like the 15 new Cold War assets added to the Russian assets mod pack. With every update of the mod packs I remove any DCS core duplicate asset though. And all the assets in the mod packs and DCS core have unique names, so they won't conflict. Not even the if they are the same asset, which I haven't had the time to remove from a mod pack. Haha, I'm actually quite into the Cold War era at the moment.
  2. Strange, I just tested the Russian pack, and I didn't have any issues with the sound. Disable all other mods just to be sure.
  3. I checked the issues with the antiship missile and the launchers. Something has changed within DCS, that's why the missiles are going slower. I'll have to investigate how this can be fixed. The issue with the launchers not launching is due to a simple mistake by me. I will include this fix in the next fix update. But until then, if you want have them fixed immediately, here are the two files you'll have to replace. CH_3K60_Bal.luaCH_K-300P.lua Thanks. Correct, the asset is named correctly in game, but I did a typo in the change log.
  4. Great! Thanks! Thank you! Whether a mod pack asset will be added to DCS core is up to ED, you'll have to ask them about it.
  5. Thanks! Have you tried all four links? If you get the same error from all of them, you'll just have to wait until they reset. Google Drive let's you transfer 750 GB per day per account, that's why I use four of them.
  6. Hey guys! It took some time, but I can finally bring you the updated Russian asset pack. It features 15 new assets, all with LODs, damage models and liveries. I've also fixed a couple of bugs with the old assets, as well as added LODs to all of them too. I hope you'll enjoy this update! If you like what I do, please consider making a donation (link in the signature at the bottom). All donations goes into new asset models! And thanks again to @daskjdhjah for the testing! 7. With every mod pack update I remove the duplicated assets. So I’ve prepared the fix for the core version. The mod pack version will be removed with the updated (and soon to be released) Russian asset pack.
  8. Thank you, that's very helpful! The soon to be released updated Russian pack contains a lot of new models.
  9. Thanks, I've fixed it in my internal version, the main gun, the FCR, the machine guns and the Tor can now be disabled individually. Stay tuned for the fix in an upcoming update.
  10. The core asset Project 22160 is already configured like the Moskva where the different weapon systems can be damaged and destroyed. But unfortunately it looks like the actual trigger is missing in the collision model. I haven't made specific destroyed models for the weapons systems, but the intent for the first version was to make them destructible by functionality. I'll make a ticket and see if I can get it fixed.
  11. I ran a simple test, just to verify the basic functionality of the Tor M2. It definitely can use its four radar channels. So my guess would be that your scenario doesn't allow the Tor M2 the launch parameters for all four missiles.
  12. You just need to make sure the CP, STR and LN are in the same group. And that the group is set to alert status red. You also need to make sure the radar has a reasonable clear view of the target, as it is a ground based radar with its limitations against low flying targets. The launcher will then launch the missile when all its required parameters are met, and that will almost always be less than the missile max range.
  13. Thanks for the suggestions! It mostly depends on how ED choose to implement ground-based EW in DCS. But as I always say, I'm open to most ideas. Since this is a DCS core asset, please ask these questions in the core asset pack subforum, it's easier to keep them apart, thanks. I would recommend you attach the test mission for me to try. https://forum.dcs.world/forum/1337-currenthill-asset-packs/ All good suggestions! I've the 2S7 would be really cool. Thanks! It's using the Giraffe AMB radar, so I believe 150 km is a pretty reasonable range.
  14. You make sure all the Sky Sabre units are in the same group, then set the group to alert mode red. The Sky Sabre doesn't have player controlled launch at the moment, primarily due to limitations with DCS Combined Arms. Thanks for all the suggestions. I'm currently working on updates and additions to the Chinese asset pack. No sure about a release date yet, unfortunately. Thanks! Thanks for the suggestions! Much obliged! Thanks! Thank you for the kind words! My process is described in my FAQ: https://www.currenthill.com/faq Great suggestions, thanks!
  15. I'd like to add some, but I need to find good quality models to build upon. Unfortunately it's much harder finding suitable Cold War NATO models. But I'm always searching and collecting. Which NATO assets would you suggest are the most wanted ones?
  16. Good eye! I was too quick judging it by the egg shaped turret. It's most likely a T-54-3 which was the first version that looked more like the later models. The barrel also points to this.
  17. I've decided to include a T-62M with the new Cold War assets.
  18. Nope, the Cold War assets are suppose to represent the older versions. The Igla versions are much newer. Not at the moment, but you never know. Yep, if I find good models I might add some of them. Yep, I would really like to do that. I'm still looking and collecting good models. It's not that easy for the older systems. Usually the radars are the hardest to obtain. It's not in the plans at the moment. But I never rule anything out for the future.
  19. Thanks! I'll return with a complete list of the assets when I get closer to release, but this is the preliminary list: 2S1 SPG 2S3 SPG 9K35 Strela-10 SAM ASU-85 SPG BMD-2 IFV BMP-1 IFV BMP-1P IFV BTR-50PK APC MT-LB APC PT-76B LT T-72A MBT T-72B MBT ZSU-23-4 SPAAG Thank you! These will be included in my Russian mod pack. These will be included in my Russian mod pack.
  20. Hey guys! I've been working on a set of Russian Cold War assets that will be added to the Russian pack. I hope you'll like them! They will all have LODs, different liveries and will fit perfectly with the Germany map and Cold War missions/scenarios. And since I have your attention, all donations no matter how small are welcome, all donations goes into getting better and better models for my assets. This is the preliminary list of assets: 2S1 SPG 2S3 SPG 9K35 Strela-10 SAM ASU-85 SPG BMD-2 IFV BMP-1 IFV BMP-1P IFV BTR-50PK APC MT-LB APC PT-76B LT T-72A MBT T-72B MBT ZSU-23-4 SPAAG
  21. I will most likely add a tractor/trailer combination to the US pack in the future. Maybe both the M983/M870 and the M1070/M1000.
  22. I think these are all the versions I currently have in the US pack. With the M983 at the top.
