This helped me. I had random crashes, so I uninstalled Process Lasso and made sure to unpark my CPU cores (I have a 13700K). DCS is running much, much better now.

Until there is official support, you can always play around with my USA asset pack. All my US infantry assets are transportable. I'll admit the walking animations aren't top notch, haha, but they are pretty fun to use.

I wasn't sure what you meant, so I tried it out. My testing showed that all of my russian ships will engage ground targets with their main guns, CIWS or cruise missiles (if available on the ship type) - with the exception of Gorshkov. Which is strange, I will log and investigate the issue. -

Yep, no worries. Was just explaining to anyone else reading this. It's always the scaling that gets you, haha. Many of my packs are even too large to work with OvGME. -

That's how I started, but this approach doesn't scale very well. The amount of overhead you create when maintaining every asset individually is crazy. You have to remember that I'm just one guy, and I'm currently developing new assets while maintaining almost 250 assets. With every DCS update there is something I need to fix to one, several or all assets, to keep them working as intended. If I had an incremental updater I would actually prefer to have all my assets in one pack. This would be very beneficial for both maintenance and development as I could consolidate code, textures and models more efficiently. -

Thank you! Unfortunately the size of my asset packs is a pain. And I'm always thinking about ways to make it easier to both maintain and for users to download. The perfect solution would be some sort of bit-level incremental download where only the parts of the updated files are downloaded. And I've tried several solutions. At the moment I've settled for the multiple Google Drive links (since they offer the most generous transfer limits per 24h at 750 GB) in combination with a full and incremental option of download. I have described the setup in my FAQ. So in essence, every time I make smaller changes and you already have downloaded the Complete pack, you only need to download the much smaller Incremental update (and don't forget to overwrite your Complete installation with it). Having my assets at Github wouldn't be possible as they are over 60 GB in size. -

Haha! The crew, you mean me, myself and I. I just posted screenshots of some of the new assets coming in the China asset pack update. The complete list isn't finished yet, but here are a couple of the new helicopter assets: Z-8G Transport helicopter Z-10 Attack helicopter Z-19 Attack helicopter Z-21 Attack helicopter Z-20 Transport helicopter Weapons include unguided rockets, machine gun pods, guided rockets, IR AAMs and AGMs. As well as door gunners for the transport helicopters. -

Hey! I don't know if this has been reported, I couldn't find anything when I searched. I'm creating new AI helicopter mods and noticed a strange behavior. If you for example equip an Apache helicopter with a rail launcher like the M299/AGM-114 and fires against ground targets, when all four missiles are launched only the empty rack remains. But if you instead encounter for example enemy helicopters and all four missiles are launched against them, the rack will disappear. To summarize: A helicopter equipped with a missile mounted on a rack that launches all of the missiles at air targets will make the empty rack disappear. If you launch all the same missiles against ground targets, the empty rack will remain on the aircraft. Heli rail launcher disappear vs air target.miz

There are several variants of DCS issues when using mods. Some of the issues will cause the game not to load, some will let you in to the ME, some will let you start a mission but don't display any or only some assets, some will cause a CTD with using a specific weapon. It all depends on the issue at hand. But they are all very easily solved by checking the dcs.log. So if you send me the log I can check what's going on. -

Yes, this has been brought up many times. The only weapon with a ballistic trajectory in DCS is the Scud, which unfortunately uses a parameter and dataset which isn't documented. So modders can't use it to create missiles with ballistic trajectories. The only way for modders to create ballistic missiles was to use the old DCS core missile features, which created a fake ballistic trajectory where the missile would climb to an apogee and then point straight towards the target. But it was better than nothing. All my ballistic missiles were made using that old feature. But unfortunately ED changed the core game a couple of versions ago which made all the missiles using the old weapon features to miss their target. It's like the target coordinates were changed to a hundred meters below the surface, which made all these weapons hit the ground in front of the target point. I've tested everything and then some to work around this issue. But to no avail. It came down to either remove all these ballistic missiles from my assets or go with the only working solution. In this case the least worst solution was to use a cruise missile scheme and increase the speed of the missile. So it's an accurate description to call them 5000 knot cruise missiles, haha. But I didn't want to remove all these assets, that's why I choose this solution. In order for this to be rectified, ED would either have to restore the old DCS core missile feature to working condition (not very likely) or publish documentation of how to use the Scud missile weapon scheme code (extremely unlikely). -

Mine works fine. Check your other mods, for example the Su-30 mod had some issues if I remember correctly. -

Thanks. I checked why I didn't have this issue. It's because I have the Swedish asset pack installed. It uses the same texture. I will add it to the UK asset pack with the next fix update. Edit: I've fixed the issue and it will be in the next UK asset pack release. As a workaround, just have the Swedish asset pack installed and it'll work just fine. -

I continually maintain all the assets, usually when I revisit them I try to reduce the polycount and more optimized textures (only 4K for the larger objects). Other than that, LODs would probably be the most effective update to reduce performance requirements of my assets. Just adding one extra LOD per asset would probably be pretty helpful. -
