  1. For me it's just the com1 and com2 bindings in each module. And air or ground doesn't apoesr to behave any differently.
  2. I've had the same issue on and off for a number of OBs now. All working at present BUT where you used to be able to close the radio menu again by selecting COM1 or COM2 binding again you no longer can, you have to click or press F12...a little annoying.
  3. There's a Varjo tool to address the CA. https://discord.com/channels/839478779256897546/953295284841115709/1123979827163181157
  4. No, I understand. I had exactly the same concerns with the vertical FOV coming from a G2. All I can say is I was prepared to sacrifice it for the increase in clarity and the ability to use my eyes again rather than having to move my head. And ultimately I don't even notice it now.
  5. We'll agree to differ, and I get your points. But my "security understanding" is very much "true"
  6. Hmm, the calculator analogy is not really the same though, is it? Whilst the TOTP algo hasn't changed, that's not the attack surface here, it is the app "around" it that is essentially abandonware and would/could likely contain security vulns. Perhaps vulns that allow someone to grab your seed value, for example. Either way, I’m not bothered I use a smartphone. But my point was, trusting your security to an app that hasn't; been maintained or likely security reviewed in 7 years isn't really a good option in comparison to just using a supported smartphone app.
  7. Quite. The pushback from individuals would tend to suggest that they don't use MFA for anything else either, which is far more worrying than "just" DCS.
  8. Winauth hasn't been updated since 2016?!
  9. Yes, agreed (day job) but we're not talking about a resource that requires super secure MFA here. SMS would allow people who may not want to use an additional desktop app, or one of the authenticator apps, to try the trials. And let's be honest, the SIM takeover approach is not exactly simple, the effort required to pull it off far outweighs the benefits in this particular scenario.
  10. Still requires a "smartphone"
  11. SMS as a second factor would mitigate a number of these (valid) worries.
  12. Quite possible tbh. Have a bash, just ensure it say TPOD DES in the bottom right corner of the TPOD and LSS "should" engage with SS Left Long.
  13. OK but have you TDC depressed so that the TPOD says TPOD DES? Pick a point off the nose with the TPOD, TDC depress to TPOD DES then SS Left long
  14. If you want to activate LSS you need to have designated a point first. Have you done that?

  16. I guess you didnt get a chance to check if your VPN IP changed? FWIW if you're solely playing DCS then I'd just forego activating the VPN. It's just another task using resources and the security benefit playing DCS is pretty much zero.
  17. Long shot, but worth a try. You could just enable the VPN once you're in game and see if it disconnects, the IP will change from your "real" Public to that of the VPN, so it would prove or disprove the theory.
  18. The 401 likely relates to HTTP 401 (unauthorised) it's unlikely but possible that the IP address provided by ExpressVPN is changing during your play session. If you check your public IP when you first connect and start DCS wait until it disconnects and then check again and see if it has changed.
  19. Very happy with my VR experience EXCEPT for the damn shimmering....
  20. This was exactly what I meant...just TOO and start at 1 again
  21. You can just overwrite them with new designations, or have I misunderstood?
  22. @O_Wolfpac I'd love to try this too! Would you be willing to share?
  23. I have a similar setup and the only drawback to running at 45 is that there is noticeable ghosting when looking out of either side of the cockpit or at the taxiway paving join lines for example. However, this is still preferable to a frame rate bouncing between 90 and say 75. I can maintain 90FPS in many situations, but not with a lot of AI and scripted bits going on. MR for me is a no no in the Aero, the jelly wobble at the edges of objects is too distracting. I guess I could drop my settings, but I'd rather take advantage of the headset clarity after all that's why we spent circa 2K on it right?
