reported KMGU Dispenser or Bombs cant fire in cold started helicopter
SnuggleFairy replied to Picure's topic in Bugs and Problems
@Picure@FoxTwo Found it. Go into Gameplay settings and switch avionics language from English to Native and it'll fix the issue. Jesus Christ these bugs are weird... -
reported KMGU Dispenser or Bombs cant fire in cold started helicopter
SnuggleFairy replied to Picure's topic in Bugs and Problems
Yeah these are good replays. You're right. If i "take control" during your replay, i can't use KMGU or bombs either. But if i save it as a miz and run it, i don't have the same issue - bombs and KMGU dispensers work in cold start perfectly. Strange -
reported KMGU Dispenser or Bombs cant fire in cold started helicopter
SnuggleFairy replied to Picure's topic in Bugs and Problems
@Picure Watched your replay. Next time you deploy either bombs or KMGU, try raising your landing gear. Bombs/KMGU on inner pilons will not release with landing gear down, because they would release ONTO the gear -
What am I missing in the cold start? or is it a bug?
SnuggleFairy replied to Picure's topic in DCS: Mi-24P Hind
Works perfectly for me. Here's a replay bombsandkmgu.trk -
whats goin on here...trackIR can now move head in gunsite???
SnuggleFairy replied to Raven434th's topic in Bugs and Problems
disable "use TrackIR in external views". -
correct as is "Bombs - Bomb Pods" switch does not function
SnuggleFairy replied to SnuggleFairy's topic in Bugs and Problems
Yeah, that makes sense. Thank you for the explanation! You're absolutely right, the manual is a little confusing on this section, but rereading it now, it makes sense. The middle "test" position still prevents any stores from releasing and, at least according to the manual, should drop everything regardless if the gear is down or not. -
can not reproduce Red gauges back light bug after last update
SnuggleFairy replied to SnuggleFairy's topic in Bugs and Problems
@BIGNEWY these are my settings. I had the brightness at 2.2 and looks like higher the brightness, more it'll look like my screenshots above. I turned it down to 1.5 and it's much more pleasant on the eye. I guess works as intended, thank you. Высок = High Низк = Low Выкл = Off Нет = No Стандартное = Standard Вкл = On По Умолчанию = Default -
can not reproduce Red gauges back light bug after last update
SnuggleFairy replied to SnuggleFairy's topic in Bugs and Problems
No mods, did the repair recently, but i'll do one now just in case. Probably a setting difference between our 2 clients. I'll play around the settings to see if i can fix it and i'll report back. -
Petrovich sturm misses high with about 55% hit rate
SnuggleFairy replied to fargo007's topic in DCS: Mi-24P Hind
The aircraft needs to be stable before the last few seconds of the missile flight, and it take petrovich ages to get gumball control after I command him, so I find that's plenty of time to stabilize the aircraft and align it properly -
Petrovich sturm misses high with about 55% hit rate
SnuggleFairy replied to fargo007's topic in DCS: Mi-24P Hind
I got about 90% hit rate with Petrovich right now with the way I engage targets. There are many small things that affect your missile hit chance. Things like dive angle and the way you're coming down on the target. Also where the target is matters. Like if the target is on a slope - that seems to affect Petrovich accuracy for some reason. Also I find that allowing Petrovich to fire at will (pressing up long), improves the hit chance over individually commanding every missile launch. I like to "dive" down onto targets from about 300m altitude, but I have to make sure I reduce collective doing so. If I point my aircraft down onto the target and don't reduce collective, I'd be flying more forward than down even though my sights would be perfectly aligned, and that makes the missiles go high. -
@scoobie@Bolec Found the culprit. Go into settings - Other (or misc.) and uncheck "Use TrackIR in external views". But yeah that setting probably shouldn't affect the sight...

I've watched the track and yes, i see that you can move the sight picture with the TrackIR, and if i "Take Control" it acts exactly the same for me - i can move the sight picture with my head tracking. If i open the replay in mission editor and save it as miz - it doesn't do that for me when i run the mission, the sight works correctly. This is the Caucasus "Free Flight" quickstart mission for the Hind and if i run the default mission from the quickstart menu, the sight works correctly. Possibly a setting somewhere interfering? Just my 2 cents, hope it helps the devs. @scoobie can you run the miz i attached below and see if the sight is still borked for you? hind_aiming_sight_w_trackir.miz

I'm guessing that switch is just WIP, but I want to report it just in case. There's a switch on the operator's front panel that has 3 positions: Bombs - Test - Bomb pods. If i understand it's function correctly in the manual, it's supposed to "tell" the aircraft what kind of weapon combination is loaded with bombs being one of them. If you load free fall bombs on all 4 stores, the switch needs to be in the Bomb position. That allows weapon release button to drop bombs from all 4 stores. But you can also load free fall bombs on middle pilons and KMGU pods or rockets on the inner pilons. For this combination the switch needs to be in the "Bomb Pods" position. In this position the weapon release button will only release the bombs from the middle pilons, and it'll keep inner pilons on. If the switch is in the bombs position, it should drop everything, regardless of what it is. But right now, no matter where the switch is, apart from "test" position, the aicraft will correctly identify what stores it has and if you have KMGU loaded on inner pilons for example, it will drop only the bombs from middle pilons, even if the switch is in the "bomb" position. "Test" position seem to prevent weapon release button from doing anything at this time. Please, see the attached trk below. bombpodbug.trk

@BolecI don't have any of these problems. They are gonna mark it as "need track replay", so if you have one, please add

9K113 Sight Zoom Controls Bug
SnuggleFairy replied to SnuggleFairy's topic in Controller Questions and Bugs
Mouse wheel, if bound, works as well -
Broke 2 patches ago. Gear lever lock no longer functions if gear is raised using keyboard commands or joystick bindings. Can't click it up with the mouse if the lock lever is in the down position, but key commands ignore it. GearLeverLockbug.trk

This bug is old, I should have reported it earlier. The panel with the Diss-15 switch that sets the system into different test modes, as well as a memory mode and the operating mode (big green light), has 2 red buttons that illuminate when the switch is in any position, but the Operating position. The lights come one even without any battery power, which would be weird if that's how it actually functions. I attached the trk file below, where i literally just jump into a cold start Hind and flick that switch into the memory mode first thing and the lights come on. Diss15lightsbug.trk

Prior to the latest patch on Aug 11, the "=" and "-" buttons could be used to switch the zoom between 3x and 10x, but they no longer work. Can only be switched by Lctrl + X command, which just cycles between 3x and 10x, or by clicking the lever with the mouse. SightZoomBug.trk

I'm sorry about creating another thread for this, but the previous one is locked and in the latest patch notes I saw: "Fixed: SAU-V24 incorrect behaviour during trim procedure was fixed." That lead me to believe that the trimmer issue was fixed, but the problem, in my humble opinion, still persists. I made a video on it, I hope it helps. Basically when you start a turn left for example, and you want to trim to stay in that turn, after you press the trim button - there's an additional roll to the left without any pilot input. If you disengage the A/P channels, that behavior disappears

need track replay ADF not working on some airports in Caucasus
SnuggleFairy replied to zerO_crash's topic in Bugs and Problems
They need a trk file, so they don't have to waste time creating missions to try to reproduce the bug based on your description. They are busy people. Also in the trk file you can see exactly everything that the pilot does, so you can eliminate pilot error. In you case - i just tried Kobuleti and Batumi NDBs and they work for me. So please share your trk file, it'll help -
w.i.p The flight model could be incorrect (opinion)
SnuggleFairy replied to Ddg1500's topic in Bugs and Problems
Also those pilots had years of training and hundreds of hours in their aircraft. I had 2 months with this module and probably <100h, and this is how it looks for me: -
correct as is Randomly uncontrollable?
SnuggleFairy replied to horus-DCS's topic in Bugs and Problems
Sounds like your controls have been reset with the latest patch and now you need to bind everything again. You have a bunch of double binds on your axis
