The bomb drop function is fixed, so I don't see the issue. I enjoy the Anton very much in air-to-ground (at least in the open beta release). When did I fly Anton/Dora last ? Today actually, like the days before.
Well I fly both just because they are just such a joy to fly and look at! The FW-190 is a truly brilliant design and certainly one of the designs that made warbirds one of the pinnacles of aviation history. The Dora is primarily meant to intercept high flying bombers and fend of their escort, so if you like to fly high, it might be your pick. As already mentioned in many posts, the A8 is mainly for ground attack.
Another thing that you should consider is the difference in engines. The Anton is the only plane with a radial engine currently in DCS. And to be honest a radial engine is a must have experience. The Junkers Jumo 213 V12 is of course also a superb engine with more power, but you might have excellent V12's already if you own any of the other WWII birds.
it's OK I finally managed, as Ala13_ManOWar said it had to do with a misleading viewpoint, I didn't flare enough but actually pointed nose down. By keeping an eye on the ADI I managed to do the correct flare. Once I got the trick it's fairly easy.
What is the correct landing horizontal/vertical speed of the Anton ?
I have no problems with the Dora etc. and can take-off easily in the Anton, but landing, most of the time I bounce all over the place!
There is an arab saying that "trust comes on foot and leaves on a horse". Boeing is learning the hard way that in this age trust leaves by plane instead!
It is not overreacting but just sensible caution to ground the planes until we know more after 350 people die in the span of 4 months.
For the current crash it is too early to speculate, but on the Indonesia crash I feel this article might have some merit: https://slate.com/technology/2019/03/ethiopian-air-crash-where-did-boeing-go-wrong-with-the-737-max.html
There is a case to make the larger engines changed the natural balance of the 737, but of course we cannot know if it has anything at all to do with teh Ethiopian crash, could be completely unrelated.
I fly a lot (as a passenger) and I must confess I would feel very uneasy to board a 737 MAX today. We need more clarity.
In the past when you click in the ME on the symbol in the midst of the runway of an airfield, you got detailed airfield info with tower, ndb etc
Now the symbol is gone and when I click on an airfield I get warehouse info?
Nice to know! I tweaked the wind settings in my mission and ... suddenly the Senaki ILS was back on! Not sure I could tweak the wind in real life though :D
[sOLVED] edit: I misunderstood the TILS procedure, when I accurately follow the flight director and needles it worked very well! ---- I'm trying out the TILS to land in Nellis AFB. Whether I adjust the QFE or not, whether I leave TILS to A or select the right channel (4), nothing happens, it doesn't seem to switch to glideslope mode and so the horizontal bar is WAY of to the top, exactly as in the picture ion the first post.
Am I doing something wrong or is this behaviour still there? Impossible to land correctly in IFR conditions with this config. I just land visually.
The last round was between Eurofighter and F-35, as Dassault didn't submit a proposal to the tender, but did a proposal directly to the government.
A very important aspect was interoperability with teh Dutch Airforce with which Belgium closely works together for advantages of scale.
did something change after last patch? I do everything like I used to (and in accordance with manual) but suddenly I cannot launch Mjolnir (BK90) anymore? I pull trigger but nothing happens?
I really enjoyed the AIM-7 on the Hornet, which was excellent also in dogfights. Now, since the "update" that added the LOFT mode, it has become completely useless?
Even when I shoot it at 5 miles it goes into a totally ridiculous LOFT trajectory that makes it completely miss the inbound target.
I guess I'm doing something wrong here. Is there a way to disable this LOFT mode frenzy?
