Best new feature for Flaming Cliffs
JG27_Arklight replied to Ice's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
Really? I could have swore I saw one of my wingmen in MP watch me pull up next to him. Either way, it certainly is a nice little touch. -
Best new feature for Flaming Cliffs
JG27_Arklight replied to Ice's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
The pilots head moving with TrackIR was present before 1.1. ;) I remember noticing that with the original (patched) Lock-On install. I moved my head with TrackIR then went to external view, sure enough, the pilot figure was looking in the same direction as I was before I switched views. I always thought that was a nice little feature. -
Good luck ED, you are our only hope!

Those are renders on the Fighter Ops page. It looks great but those are still only renders, which can be quite a bit different then what you would actually see in-game. We'll just have to wait and see. Jet Thunder is based on the Strike Fighters engine, IIRC (I could be wrong). Which isn't bad, but isn't exactly the most up to date in the graphics department. Either way, I really enjoy Strike Fighters and WOV. -
Nvidia : 71.89 drivers with 6800 ....
JG27_Arklight replied to Conuk's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
They work great on my 6800GT. For me, these are some keepers! -
Cranking up AF eliminated it for me (using 8xAF right now and there is no swimming present).

What about the Su-25T template?
JG27_Arklight replied to Mechanist's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
Bump for an SU-25T template! :) -
No canopy reflections except in the SU25
JG27_Arklight replied to jason_peters's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
WhiskeyRomeo is right, only the SU-25T has "new" external glass reflections. I wish the other aircraft had it, the effect looks GREAT! -
SU-25/25T External Fuel Tanks not modelled?

Rgrt. Thx, guys. -
I haven't seriously played LOMAC in quite a while and the release of 1.1 has really "reinstated" my interest. In fact, I think the last time I really sat down and played a good game of LOMAC online, was when Rugg and I chased a TU-95 around in our A-10s like a couple of idiots. LOL Good times! With regards to 1.1 being "incomplete", all I can say is that I am having fun with it. It certainly renewed my interest in LOMAC and I am having a great time so far. People can say what they want regarding the completeness of 1.1, as long as I'm having fun with it I could give a rat's ass what anybody else says.

(Added from my post. Didn't even see this bugs thread...oops!) 1. You can see smoke from burning vehicles, etc., through the clouds. 2. After watching a track I cannot alter some of the settings like water detail, for instance. I have to close the game and then restart it to change the settings. 3. Also, after watching a track, my settings in the graphics options screen are not what I had them set to prior to my flight. However, the settings that are shown (the ones I did NOT choose) don't seem to be the graphics presented anyways. Wierd. I am wondering if bug #3 is really a bug at all. I.E., those are the settings being used to create the tracks hence the settings for them being different after leaving the track. The only issue I have with this is the fact that I have to restart the game in order to make changes and go fly the way I want too (with my graphics settings).

Just 3 that may have already been mentioned but I haven't seen posted as of yet. (This is for 1.1, btw.) 1. You can see smoke from burning vehicles, etc., through the clouds. 2. The only issue I have with this is the fact that I have to restart the game in order to make changes and go fly the way I want too (with my graphics settings). My apologies if these are already known bugs and have already been discussed. The graphics driver for my 6800GT is currently the latest 71.84 Official set but I have also tested 1.1 with the 66.93 official drivers. Both yielded the same issues stated above.

big screens of the beast
JG27_Arklight replied to stefostef's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
The shadows are still quite jaggy (no difference there). However, the SU-25T model seems to "present" the shadows better. For instance, there doesn't seem to be any anomolies or anything like that as there is on the plain-jane SU-25 in certain areas. -
Oh no. If alcohol is not an excuse then I have a LOT of apologizing to do. lol

Anyone from ED wanna explain this?
JG27_Arklight replied to a topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
It would appear that way. Hopefully somebody in the know can chime in here and address this asap. -

I guess if you have the time and want too, maybe try doing what you did before again and see if the number drops to 2? If the number actually did drop you do have some type of recourse considering what was stated prior to release. As Strannik stated, you should have 4 installs after activation. Since you haven't changed 40% of your hardware, you should still have 4 installs if I am reading it correctly. -
Anti-Ship missiles effectiveness...
JG27_Arklight replied to Ayane's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
A "lonely" Tico Class Cruiser probably would shoot down all those missiles before they hit. lol -

I'm wondering if by erasing the Eagle Dynamics folder in RegEdit after installing then uninstalling 1.1 if perhaps a key or some other file was in that folder that gauged the amount of installs (which if uninstalled normally and not using RegEdit afterwards would not affect the key/file)? Definately warrants looking into. -

OZON.ru release FC now!
JG27_Arklight replied to ViperVJG73's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
For what it's worth, the price of the Russian version to a Russian citizen is about $35 (roughly) to an American citizen. Any comparison pertaining to why it costs so much here compared to there is pretty much a moot issue since the average Russian person doesn't make squat compared to an American. For reference, the Russian "Middle Class": What is the Russian middle class? We have established that today's middle-class Russians are people who earn from $150 (in Moscow $200) to $1000 dollars for each household member. The average Russian in this group earns $320 per month or $3,900 per year. The typical middle-class household consists of 3.08 people, which means that the family earns about $12,000 per year. This type of household makes up around 25% of the Russian population, or 11 million households. The overall average Russian household today has three members and earns around $100 per month per person. http://eng.expert.ru/expertma/
