  1. Again, I don't say it doesn't make sense. I say: There was no urge for ED to do so.
  2. And that's what is a part of what defines the "need". I don't say it would have been useless before or something like that. But for Ed there was just no urge to add this faction with no Afghanistan map.
  3. Have fun, and may the MissionEditor be with you!
  4. The "4 years" isn't really an argument in this case. Cause before an Afghanistan map existed, there was just no need for Afghanistan as a faction.
  7. If the ships are in the same group, they should follow the Carrier afaik. So in fact you do control the whole CSG.
  8. No thank YOU* Sir! *The whole team.
  9. No, it points to the fact that the bussiness they are operating in is software development. The absolute majority of games have a delay from their first announcement date. That's the nature of the beast.
  10. Can you tell a little about the briefing room too? Does it have to wait until DTC's are avaiable cause of the ability to prepare the aircraft from the briefing room?
  11. Yeah,so Heatblur decided they wont apply an EA-Discount. Folks had their chance in pre-order. Still don't see DCS overall becoming more expensive.
  12. I'm not quite sure if "surely" is the exact right term for that. But on a serious note: I think there is a good possiblity that we will see Vulkan and SuperCarrier Updates within this summer. -------------------- Edit cause forum did forum things. -.-
  13. 80 bucks has been the normal price for a module for a long while now. Kola Map is the only one that's priced above "it's weightclass". But Jets out of EA, with no discount? 80 Dollar for years. Oh,and about the miles: The Developer of a module decides if they want to participate in the ED miles program. If they say no, than you can't use miles for that module nor you will get miles from purchasing.
  14. What a great news! A great news for DCS, cause the decision to make an outstanding mod-package part of the core game benefits DCS as a whole. And a great news for the creator of this mod, who spend so much effort into this. Into a mod my wing uses and enjoys since many months. It brings so much more life to our daily flight-operations. I hope you are proud, Massun. Cause you have earned to be.
  15. The title pretty much said it already. If possible it would be great if we could choose on wich drive we want to install a module or a map, and DCS would automatically create a folder on that drive and link it so that everything works just as it would from a single drive.

    Incoming..

Was planned as a new FC-level standalone title. https://stormbirds.blog/2018/07/13/eagle-dynamics-announces-new-modern-air-combat-title/ ED probably took it behind the barn for now.
  17. Uhm,no. Problem not gone. Cause offer something without saying what you offer ist just a bad behavior.
  18. EA means core things are missing. No problem with that. EA doesn't mean I buy a thing and have no clue what I buy. With that I indeed have a problem.
  19. First it is a question if you can talk about a delay when Heatblur never give a fix date. (All they said is that the aim to release within a timeframe). But in the end, it's a question of how you define delay. Second thing is the simple fact that Heatblur and ED are different developer. Is that a guarantee? Of course not. But it can hardly be equated.
  20. It's almost obscene the speed at which you are now developing helicopter modules. When I heard Wags say on the Mover and Gonky show that the Apache would have taken about two years of development before the EA release, I dared to hope that with luck I would get the CH-47 by the end of this year. Now ED is coming around the corner like "hold my development pipeline!" That's really impressive!
  21. Nice! Friday we will do some Butterfly-sets again, I will have an eye on that if it's same on the hornet.
  22. As far as I know the G-warm effect is already a thing in DCS for a while now.
  23. Maybe. Maybe not. And if so, it doesn't mean we get the SuperCarrier things with it. Yeah, I may sound a little frutstrated, but that's just cause I am.
  24. How about something like this? ED said the NTTR wont get an upgrade, so why not make a new map? (Or a merge like Normandy 2.0? ) Such a map could offer a lot of bases and training grounds in the US. Besides the NTTR there could be NAS Fallon (the nowadays TOP GUN base), NAS Lemoore, MAS Miramar, Edwards AFB. And with the water it could provide many opportunities for Navy Squadrons to use it for their whole training sylllabus.
  25. Missions over Iraq took same time. 6 hours on station for CAS with multiple Yoyo ops were performed. And they did from the boat. Marines go shore-based. Navy rarely does.
