i don't see the problem. I use some of the SP Missions as Template for other aircraft. It is only a setting for a cold and dark start or a hot start on the runway. I've all modules but my time is limited. As so i use the auto start or start on runway quite often because i not really know all the start procedures yet. Too many planes too little time. Rainer

What's wrong with the Jug, why so little interest ?
Rainer_B. replied to Hueyman's topic in DCS: P-47 Thunderbolt
Thank you for the answer. Just ordered mine. The normal detent is not good if you use the Throttle as collective or for warbirds. Rainer -
And World Peace for all

Wait a little while longer and there should be cards with more RAM from the usual vendors like MSI, Asus, Gigabyte...... RAM sells:)

I joined the Forum at this time. This is no indicator for my knowledge. I'm a little older and thsi is not my first Rodeo or better Flight Sim. I miss the good old times with my Amiga 2000 and DI F-16 Combat Pilot. Nice dynamic missions. I hope there will be a AH-64 in the future of DCS. Janes AH-64D Longbow was fun. It's a pity that my trusty old Thrustmaster FLCS don't work anymore but the Warthog is a nice replacement.

Okay, nice idea. My next car should have 3 tires and 2 from 4 cylinders. After a while i buy the upgrade for the 4th tire and now for the speedometer because it's the first opportunity for me to drive the thing. No problem, it was cheap and i can wait. I can only drive by day because the lights are not available at this time. What is it? StarTrek Generations? The Tractorbeam will be installed next Weeek? Sorry, but Early Access would be better than your business model. Rainer

Last Game i bought in this way was a second hand box of Falcon 4.0 as install medium for Falcon BMS. Big heavy Box with a manual usable as weapon itself. I like the box idea because a few months ago before the corona lockdown i don't used paypal or owned a credit card. I bought the available hardcopys of DCS modules as second hand. This was at the moment the easiest way for me. So i bought the P-51D, the Huey, A10C, FC3 and was happy to play the sim with more than the 2 included modules. The lockdown changed all this and now the collection is complete. But i would not say no to a boxed version as Display. But it is okay so. The cupboards are full ;-)

No problem at all. Trackclip pro as input in the TrackIr Software and thats it.
-
I use TackIR5 but without the hat (used it for a while) and the clip. What's the purpose of a wireless headset if you use the usb trackclip? Delan was the solution. The offer a nice Delanclip Fusion with integrated battery. https://delanengineering.com/products/head-tracking-delanclip-fusion/ Not the cheapest solution, but it works fine.

The Gazelle is now the only flyable DCS aircraft..
Rainer_B. replied to Dr Zaius's topic in SA-342M Gazelle
Yes. Give us "The Day After Tomorrow" climate. Freezing fuel lines should be fun or a sandstorm (Syria and Persian Gulf) like "Flight of the Phoenix" No sandfilter for this machine Sir. -
Sure. Don't forget the old saying "Don't discuss with fools. The draw you down on their level and then beat you with Experience". It is a fight no one can win.

please remove your heavy boots before you enter the helicopter. and +1 for the Black Hawk. A Somali Map would be nice.

i do miss the wooden stick as fuel gauge ;-)

with the stone age target sensors at this time a nuke should do the trick.

The RPG-7 Rocket has an integrated selfdestruct timer. At 950 m they will automatically explode. Nice Feature for an Airburst at an fixed location. 500 m against a moving target is more than foolish. 200 m or less would give you a better chance. A near miss is a miss but it will keep the heads down in the dirt.

What are the specs of your machine? I hat around 30-60 fps in medium settings. Resolution was FullHD. The important thing should be the GPU and RAM. 16GB can make a huge difference. Rainer

I prefer my programs on my computer not on the cloud. Okay cloud use is okay if you would kep your laptop but on a 15 or 17 Zoll screen the laptop is too limiting. I use my laptop for normal work only but it is not optimal for DCS even with al external Monitor. My solution was a PC only for DCS. My first Desktop after around 30 Years of Laptop usage and my first ever own PC build. It was easier as i thought. Rainer

Have you tried it? My first DCS experience was on my laptop. Lenovo P50, okay, it's a workstation with 4K Display but only with a Intel I7 and NVIDA Quadro M2000M with 4GB VRAM. Okay, the machine uses 32 GB RAM. It was playable, the limiting factor was the GPU. DCS used all 4GB VRAM and wanted more..... The CPU was doing fine. Rainer P.S.: My first tuning choice for the laptop was a 27" Monitor. You need the space. Second Option is TrackIr. And the best option is a new PC ;-)

Which Graphics card (sorry)? PC order spec.
Rainer_B. replied to Andrew u.k.'s topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
I build my rig around 2 months ago only for DCS (my normal PC is a Laptop). I've at the moment no ambition for VR and settled for a RTX2070 Super with Ryzen 3700X, 32 GB Ram (3200 MHz), NVME 1TB as boot drive and for games a 2 TB SSD on a X570 Board. This should last a while until the new NVIDIA Generation drops to a normal price level. That was my reason to not by a 2080. The difference between 2070 Super and 2080 is not so big in comparison to justify the higher price. Just my 2 Cents (and it's the same every time you built a computer, the moment you built it the rig is already old ;-)) Next Update would be a 3950X or similar and one of the new NVIDEA or AMD GPUs. Time will tell. Rainer -
Only Blood? Come on. An enemy Soldier without his feet crouching on the battlefield. His intestines behind him. More Fantasy please. (This is sarcasm) No Blood for me. A dark Screen after a crash is enough. Dead is dead. This is not Battlefield Z. Rainer

Fair Point. Not to forget the Japanese. But this is DCS. This should be fun. Flying the Airplane okay, shooting Stuff up, okay, but the buck stops here. It's realistic enought when your plane goes down and you stuck in F2 View to see your shot up cockpit. That's life, your dead. But this is a game. IRL there's no respawn Button. Rainer

Same her. A Eraser Option (Schwarzenegger Flick) would be Fun, but shooting at an unarmed Pilot? What's next? Submarines shooting life boats up?

Ok. Now is the point to end the discussion. Thrash the grammar. BTW, my last english lession were in 1978 and i'm not a native speaker. Code or Codes, that's not the question. Please read the Thread title. I own all modules. I'm not interested in a pay model. My only wish is more time to learn the aircrafts. I need no FS2020 for simple flying, the Christen Eagle is fun enough.

Share Codes? Wow, i thought i heard it all, but you are a new kind of User. Remind me of my chef. New program? A few clicks here and there and in 5 Minutes the result is there.
