  1. Not gonna lie... so far I see 0 difference between the 2 on my setup. Well, maybe one difference. It the takes MT version longer to draw the world and aircraft details once the load screen is finished. Even the main lobby screen. and yes: "Yes, I am launching the MT DCS.exe from the MT folder!" BIOS SMT enabled (as per usual)
  2. ^ FYI 23.3.1 just dropped.
  3. Prior to MT, I have always been informed to disable SMT. Now that DCS is MT, should it be re-enabled? edit: Or maybe it was hyper-threading
  4. Stuck at work... managed to DL/Install via remote desktop. I feel a covid variant coming on. cough...cough
  5. Have you tried under a different Windows user profile?
  6. That gets me every time... you would think it would move into "contact" position when he announces. I did manage several short and then a few minute + successful hookups earlier this evening. I'm finally getting the hang of constant dance required by the HOTAS. Just have to work on staying calm and continue to fly the plane after hookup. Probably just a glitch but, I realized after watching the track file external views that even on the cleanest connect, the boom nozzle will usually "connect" just aft of the actual refuel door opening.
  7. Adjustable diopter is brilliant.
  8. I'll keep that one in mind. Though the boom stays active between attempts. Just seems to want to "insert" further back than it should. Easier to understand by watching the track file in F2 mode.
  9. Can someone please point out what it is I'm doing wrong? Feels like I'm in position (though still struggling). Trimmed out, Boom comes active, seems like this may FINALLY be the time I get hooked up, nozzle meets nose, only to continually pass through the aircraft.... only to repeat this scenario over and over. See attached track file. This is a couple attempts of MANY. Fail.trk
  10. Curious "where" exactly is the OXRTK sharpening applied? I have played with the % multiple times while looking out at terrain and buildings as well as inside the cockpit, and I can't recall ever noticing any difference like I had experienced with 3DMigoto.
  11. Yeah, ED should fire all the devs... that'll speed things up.

    DCS size !

Nah... but I was a little bummed to find out the Bellagio fountains were inop.
  13. Yep... I'm well versed in using OXR/OXR toolkit etc. This is something new. Pretty sure it's related to the NeckSafer app.

    DCS size !

Ever want a feel for how HUGE DCS World is... trial the Combined Arms mod, hop in a Willy's Jeep and hit the road. The Vegas Strip was a hoot.
  15. I have that same affliction.
  16. I had a few days ago just to see it it was still working but, haven't had it running during the last few sessions. Tired it, same effect. Disabling the toolkit fixed it, then I was able to switch the toolkit back on without issue. Definitely Necksafer... when enable, clearly shrinking FOV.
  17. Weird issue lately... Everything is normal until DCS loads into the menu hangar. Then my view inside the G2 look skewed is 3 directions, like the view isn't centered. I can actually see the black edges of the panels. This only happens with DCS, not the WMR load screen, WMR OpenXR demo, or Steam. I have tried two repair installs. The effect is gone with OpenXR Toolkit disabled.
  18. It's true for the G2 but, I don't use the controllers for flying.
  19. I'd be all over it if they made a version that didn't require the additional expense of Lighthouse tracking. I only do VR seated.
  20. "Perceived" FOV any way. If interested, go here and register... might spur this chap on to get this rolling. https://www.vrstarlight.co.uk/ Long story short, it's an array of simple LED and software that captures the light produced at the edges of what we see on the outer perimeter of the HMD and projects it through the LEDs, fooling the eyes into seeing a wider FOV. null
  21. I'm not real sure how the 2 work together, if at all but... My physical IPD is 61. While in the virtual cockpit I try to envision my actual shoulder width and use the DCS "IPD" scale to make it match. Left alone, something like the Thrustmaster Warthog stick always seemed tiny inside the A-10C for instance.
  22. Many have wondered... few have answered
  23. "IPD" in the DCS settings VR tab should not be confused with actual IPD Interpupillary Distance. DCS "IPD" controls basically the world scale, cockpit size in particular.
