  1. Disabling HT in the BIOS did not change this issue. It might be related to the angle of the Sun behind those mountains because after getting on the river, the affect seems to be gone.
  2. I disabled Hyperthreading (HT) in my BIOS, and no more missing labels. BTW, MT ran great with HT disabled.
  3. Confirmed on the non-MT build as well.
  4. Confirmed in the non MT beta. One of my AI groups had this on their wingman (#2 in group).
  5. Try disabling Motion Blur.
  6. I'll see if I can get a screenshot.
  7. Seems to be related to Motion Blur. Disabled Motion Blur, and mission launches as normal.
  8. Same results with the F16 Free Flight on Syria. Mods, if you can change the title of this thread, much appreciated.
  9. Strange screen on loading the mission. First I tried a custom Caucasus River Racing mission with the TF-51D, then the canned Instant Action Mission. G2, 3080Ti, high end pc.
  10. More improvements were added with the MT release as well. The Mig-29S is now more aggressive with chaff and flare release, and they fire guns more aggressively. Ace level tested.
  11. First flight in VR with MT was a success. Instructions for launching MT were excellent. Thanks so much!
  12. Oddly, that option disappeared for me too. Try New (top left corner)> shortcut, or Show More Options>Create shortcut.
  13. FYI, HP has exited the VR market, so you probably can't get a new G2.
  14. All the toolkit does is change the settings in OpenXR. MR is part of OpenXR, not the toolkit.
  15. Right click DCS.exe and select New> Shortcut. Put this shortcut on your desktop, or when you do a DCS repair it will get deleted. Afterwards, you can deselect VR in the DCS game settings, use the default icon to launch DCS in 2D, and use the custom icon to launch VR.
  16. The Su-27 flight model is the simple one, and it sort of cheats right now. Best to practice against Mig-29s. My favourite is to put 6 Reds with guns only with 5 or 6 Blues with guns only. This gives you some time to get used to chasing them around. I pack Sidewinders on these missions so I can practice getting the missile on their tails when they light up their ABs. Give this mission a try. You can sub in the Su-27 if you like. https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3329069/
  17. The G2 likes steady USB power. I got a 4 port USB hub that plugs into the wall socket. Highly recommended.
  18. I don't expect to defeat the missiles with only chaff and flares. I usually turn and run with full AB. They usually fire at long range, so you have plenty of time to run out their fuel.
  19. Get them when they're young!
  20. LHX Attack Chopper started it all for me.
  21. Try some SU-25s. There are three different types. They are easy to catch, and they will shoot back when threatened. Great way to chase some slow movers to practice your technique.
  22. Correction, MR is not in OXRTK, it merely sets the OpenXR settings. And yes, the artifacts are in both.
  23. I've had my G2 for about 15 months now. I bought 3 year next day replacement warranty for it. I opened a case for a flaw in the lens to get replacement. They simply closed the case without a word. I'd say they are gone.
  24. It's good, but it could use a boost IMHO. I would like the AB to have more punch. Since this is about angle of attack as well, I just want to encourage the use of rudder. I find it best to "lead with the rudder" when you want to bank, and be ready to stomp on it when you want to pull the nose down and get out of a tight spot. I also have a healthy amount of curve in my HOTAS pitch, roll, and rudder. Experiment with what works best with your hardware. Here's a good test. Roll into a bank and pull back on the stick. You will notice the airspeed falling. Add full rudder deflection, and then slowly let the stick out until the airspeed starts going back up. That little zone there is the sweet spot. Having more curve in Pitch, Roll, and Yaw makes this zone easier to find. Now, lead with rudder and roll into the bank with full rudder. Try to do the roll and the rudder at the same rate. Then pull back gently on the stick until you see the airspeed start to drop. When you get used to doing roll and rudder like that you find you get a lot more manoeuvring out of the jet without bleeding off that precious airspeed.
  25. Sorry, if you have the Omnicept version of the HP Reverb G2, it has TOBII eye tracking built into it. I don't think this is available in the standard version.
