Play with the Curvature settings. I have Deltasim sle mod for Warthog and I have no problems with small target adjustments.

It's heavily depended on your controller, so others curves probably won't help you.

It's really hard to say it "is it worth" today, because prices gone crazy. I suppose any HOTAS setup will work, but you said you want authentic (that's why I bought Warthog for A-10C), and for that is only one option and it's expesive. If you pass on "authentic" any HOTAS will work wit WIn 10 and DCS.

AFAIK you're wrong. It's a back up aiming cue for a cannon. If you move your head to line them up, you'll see that they're aligning with an aiming cue.

Stearmandriver, it all depends on the approach to the DCS. For some it's "just a game" for some it's more. It's great you can fly a real plane, most people here don't. And some of them like to put something extre to this "just a game" wit better HOTAS, makeing a cockpit etc. We have wide choice of players - beginig with people flying with just a keyboard and mouse, to ones buildng whole cockpit and projector screens or VR. For some it's the only way to be a bit closer to real flying. It's each ones choice how "real" he want and can go. I'm flying mostly The Hog, I bought TM Warthog (befor prices skyrocketed) and TM Cougar MFCDs. Could I play without them? Of course i could. Is it more fun to play with them? The hell it is! If Jimd wants real looking HOTAS nad has patience to save for it, I say - save, wait and buy it. You won't regret it, and you'll love every second flying plane with "real" HOTAS.

For F/A-18C? There is WINWING F/A-18C HOTAS, but if Warthog is too expensive, don't even look at it. Sorry, if you want more money saving product, you have to stick with some generic, non authentiuc, options.

TGP for A-10C burns out after close to 20 mins of lasing - cumulatirve, not continuous.

APKWS is not anti-tank weapon, they're more anti-infantry, non- and light-armoret vehicles. You can kill trucks, BTRs and BRDMs with one HE rocket. Using them for tanks is just waste. When you'll get efficient with Mavs you should be able to fire six of them on different targets on one pass.

I think you will. SC was $39.99 on ED Shop, but when I bought F/A-18C last week, I bought SC yesterday for $29.99. It's a pity that they don't advertise that discount more.

The Hog really starts to shine with Maverics and guided bombs, so you're just starting :) And with droping dumb bombs (any bombs to be fair) really helpful for you would be if you learn to program wind correction ;) I'm just mentioning it to show you, you're just starting to learn systems ;)

OP said he's switching fram A to C, and it's whole another world. From I to II is just minor adjust.

These and (I know, I know) Gream Reapers tutorials. I learned o lot from them. PS I literally never used NVG. There is no need to with a TGP.
