  1. Well if you just downloaded the full version of world, and ran it, the only way to get the module without reinstalling would be the module manager.
  2. No wonder I can never figure out the controls in Lock On/FC, but I'm ok in DCS. DCS was the first flight sim since F14 Fleet Defender I really got into and kept going back to. Talk about jumping in the deep end, eh?
  3. I'd hardly call Flaming Cliffs "Arcade". It's a long way from Ace Combat and even further from HawX. It's still a decent sim, but it just doesn't require quite the dedication of a full DCS module. Also, once you've got the radar up & running and scanning the correct area of the sky, surely all you need to do to lock/unlock a target is to press one button or another. Wouldn't this apply to Flaming Cliffs and DCS alike?
  4. Craters and Pilots (all that's left afterwards)
  5. I've not even done all of the missions/training which come with FSX. I think I stopped and went back to DCS sometime around learning to use VOR.
  6. I'm getting really tempted to pick up XP10 - although knowing me, it'll still be a few months before I do so.
  7. :sleep:Very cool idea. Wish I could make it, but I'm away from home and it's way after bed-time for me
  8. I also have a Shogun 2 75% off voucher. I already have (and love) the game, so no incentive to use it myself.
  9. Spitfire? I wouldn't mind a tornado! Whaddaya mean wrong timeframe?
  10. Thanks. I really shouldn't post when tired. I looked at your post and missed the obvious. Sorry for the above stupidity.
  11. It seems that living in a dusty flat inhabited by myself, my wife, two tortoises and a dog has taken its toll on my Warthog and particularly my pedals. Does anyone have any advice for cleaning/lubricating these Saitek pedals? Currently mine feel as if they have an extra detent about a quarter of the way through the right-foot's travel.
  12. Hmm. I might have to try that. I always thought it would have trouble due to the fact the game uses two executables.
  13. That moon guy is totally joking. He gives it away after about 9 minutes.
  14. That's the way I do things. Admittedly, every World module released thus far has had something I wanted to at least try, so I bought them all. I think Combined Arms took me the longest between beta release and purchase (apart from A-10, but I didn't have a PC to run it)
  15. No need. Coder C's busy getting love from Jenny in Accounts.
  16. A lot of them reviewed Black Shark. Some reviewed A-10. Remember IGN complaining that the maverick's rocket motor didn't burn all the way to the target? Then it all went quiet. Maybe I should review some modules on VoxelArcade. I know it's hardly high-profile, but I don't see anything else I could do.
  17. Does the cookie have AFM and accurately modeled chocolate chips? I don't want no lo-fi cookie crap! None of your arcade digestives here!
  18. I want F-14 cookies (with moveable wings)
  19. But, as demonstrated, the fall of the objects isn't the problem. The problem is something to do with the explosion of each, and apparently, that these explosions are creating objects. Could this be ED's attempt at beginning to model frag patterns, or a mistake within the effect? Who knows? They have stated that they're working on it and I do have faith.
  20. Also, if it were to do with just the calculation of the bomblets, it would have been a problem for even longer. IIRC, this started with 1.2.2
  21. Brilliantly put Lucas. No way you're from hell :)
  22. I already have the wife "upgrade"
  23. I don't see the logic in donations. ED is a business, not a charity. They get their money in exchange for goods. Kick starter could work, but it blurs the lines between investor and customer. It begs the question of whether you're a shareholder or just someone buying something. Personally, I'm moving away from even pre ordering games. I don't tend to buy them unless I get something to play at the time of payment (hence my pre purchase of ArmA3 and the Huey). I'm quite uneasy about the whole crowd funding idea in general. It's setting a precedent by making consumers take greater risk.
  24. Incoming: brick effect pit If only I knew how.
