So if someone likes Ace Combat, can't stand Hawx, likes Call of Duty, likes ArmA, DCS, BMS and IL-2, where would they fit?
In what way does the existence of game mode harm anyone who plays these sims?
They just made them bigger. (Or at least more dusty looking). To be honest, it's probably best that they optimise some of the issues they're having with some effects before introducing new ones (assuming the same teams/individuals work on these two issues)
I thought Q might be quincunx, a different form of antialiasing which blurs two frames together slightly. This tends to result in a slightly better edge-smoothing effect than MSAA, and requires fewer resources to carry out at the cost of the overall image being slightly blurrier.
Whoops. I will hopefully check it out later tonight, but that just proves it's been way too long since I played these sims. I lost control of the Shark for no good reason last night by forgetting how to treat the trim/AP systems.
Edit: or not. I got mixed up between my install folder and a backup location and deleted my entire DCS World install.
Has anyone noticed if the max IAS warning in the Black Shark has lost it's audio? I'm not sure if it's my system or if I forgot something at startup, but I saw the little flashing 'H' on the HUD, but there was no shrill beeping.
Thanks Rykane. That worked brilliantly. Much better for me than the one linked through Twitch.tv, although it took me a wee while to figure out how to get it working. I'm now up and running here:

Not being familiar with this Molykote EM 30l or other plastic & metal safe synthetic greases, does anyone know of the name of a good equivalent which can be purchased in the UK (and potentially, where to get it)?
I only once or twice flew the shark without AP channels (they had disabled themselves due to damage). Landing was pretty hard, but I didn't experience the same shaking and sudden loss of lift that make the Huey so tricky.
Everything feels so solid and well-defined and the manuals are well written. For this reason I actually find it easier to learn DCS aircraft than Flaming Cliffs. I just can't seem to get the hang of FC controls.
I must be wired bass-ackwards. For some reason, the complexity and detail makes more sense in my head than the slightly simplified system.
Well according to Evil Bonsai, it appears not to have been removed. As far as I remember, the new effects being worked on were for the CBU 87/103, not the CBU 97/105. The skeet-based ones have always worked fine for me in terms of effects and performance.
What sort of upload speed do you need to do something like this? I have 3MB, but I think it might be doubling soon. If I'm playing SP, would that be at all useful, or is it pointless?
What I meant was that if someone has been playing with just the SU25T (for example) in World and has updated to a sub-version which cannot be downloaded on its own yet. If this person then purchases a module, their only way to install it would be the module manager I think, unless they wanted to temporarily roll back their version of World.
If they're only updating something they already have installed, there is no need for the module manager, as the auto updater does this job.
